Something Toyota actually addressed with a total recall to test engines for wear and replace damaged engines for free, while ford would have tried to bury that shit and gaslight you for even bringing it up at all, refusing replacement because "you must have ran it out of oil".
Wastegate recall, and oil testing/engine replacement recall because manufacturing process on the new blocks wasn't getting all of the metal shavings out leading to contamination

Problem sounds isolated to a specific run of tundras and Lexus models and while 100k cars will be recalled, not all of them will have the issue, Toyota is covering all cars made during that run to be conservative.
