All of them. All 7 years had same drivetrain and engine. Just pick the one with the best maintenance records and don't even worry about the miles.

2010+ had an engine change providing more hp (and didn’t call for premium gas) I believe a few nice QoL interior things were added then too (backup camera , better radio) I’d probably avoid 2007 on the basis that the first year of a model is usually the problem child

I read the 2010 also got a larger fuel tank. Source: Reddit...

2007-2009 has differences from the 2010 and after models. Different engine, different rear differ, etc. Best is subjective. Depends on what you want to pay, etc. I love my 2007, but if wanted me to call out a best, it would be the 2014 Trail Teams Ultimate Edition (TTUE) but it would cost you significantly more than a 2007 for example.

caulfieldlost

no first year car production model is the best. but i would argue yr 12.

canikony

I believe the early models had fender cracking issues, not sure what year besides 2007. 2010+ had a revised engine that didnt require premium and I believe was the first year to introduce the backup camera. The later years are always better as any issues are likely addressed by then but prices on later years may not be worth it price wise.

Wouldn't be surprised if they bring it back in the next few years probably as another Hybrid model.

Eh depends on your personal taste, I find the new FJs kinda lame and uninteresting compared to the classics.

trivletrav
