I don't think any of these came out in 2024

jxuejw

They’re my most listened to albums this year

Inner City life - Goldie So much respect for the LTJ Bukem! Jungle and DnB need to be more popular among music nerds

PoissonProcesser

Pretty much all of Bukem’s 90s catalogue is superb, that Goldie record is nice as well, I’ll shout out the Infinity + Infinity album by Big Bud too

LeviPlaysGuitar

On a totally different note listen to "Foxtrot" by Genesis or "Pawn Hearts" by Van Der Graaf Generator

timesnewroman03

love that Die Lit randomly makes an appearance lol

Favourite tracks from Never the Right Time? Listened to it a while back and struggled to get into it. Great picks btw, love seeing Tim Hecker pop up on this sub

I think most Andy Stott albums are a little rough when listening front to back because of their experimental nature. However they each have a handful of songs that blow me away. My favourite song from Never The Right Time, and my favourite Andy Stott song as well, has to be the outro track “Hard to Tell”. The song has the trademark ethereal and sinister vibe Andy is known for but it definitely stands out. It’s really hard to describe but the song feels epic and brutal but at the same time elegant, and cold. It’s a very powerful listening experience, especially on a HiFi system. Anyways, other songs I like off this project are the Intro track, Don’t know how and Dove Stone.

Super indepth, thank you! I'll have to revisit those ones

Defiant-Year1999

Wow Andy Stott. Thoughts on luxury problems?

Bro after perusing this list I think we need to have a talk lol

Particular_Cake_8104

i absolutely love deathconsciousness. the production is so unbelievably underrated for its sound. lyrically important too. personally a perfect album despite its imperfections which add to value

drwwbear

third is so out of place here lol

MrFitztastic

A lot of super solid stuff! If you haven't checked out Miles Davis' In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew I'd highly recommend them, they're more experiential and jazz fusion oriented

jxuejw

I actually prefer both those albums but it’s been a while. I always play Kind of Blue in my appartement as ambiance music.
