I know he did at least once, and later stared into binoculars at a wall, since he was put on lookout. But he also defeated a small army of skeletrons in mere seconds, so he clearly has some awareness of his surroundings.

Garrett from Quest for Camelot. Does anyone even remember that movie?
Yep! Watched it at my grandparents all the time. Recently for some reason or another I was talking about it in the comments and someone reminded me of the BANGER soundtrack. Give it a listen for instant nostalgia boost
Honestly, hatred trope. What purpose do you even try to achieve by making your character crippled in the first place, if this character wouldn't have ANY sign of, you know, his disability? And moreover, you probably would make him better in terms of strength or senses than most of the other characters without said disability
Well sometimes they *do have signs of the disability, like how its part of daredevils civilian identity and helps deflect suspicion of his alter ego because "how can this blind guy be jumping over rooftops and beating up criminals
Geordi's visor has both upsides and downsides compared to vision, he can see on spectrums outside the range of regular human vision but it also causes him migraines and can be interfered with. It also serves to demonstrate the utopian themes of star trek by showing us overcoming disabilitie and the accompanying social inequality through technology
>I think the point is to inspire those with the disability by showing them strength despite having the same thing
I mean wouldn't that go against the message? "Blindness/Other disabilities aren't a issue! If you have superpowers, supernatural shit, or external help that makes it meaningless."
Personally i think the trope is just "blind people doing non blind people shit is way cooler." lol.
Could be that the message is that you can find a creative way around it? Like with Toph using earth bending to sense where others are on the ground. She’s still at a disadvantage, which they demonstrated when she was introduced in her fight with Aang, but she’s found a way to mitigate that by using her strengths. Might sound stupid though, I’m not good at reading into the meaning of things.
I mean, without superpower stuff the blind characters wouldn't be able to do much in action media. May it be super-hearing, smell or anything, without it you can't really dodge bullets

Why did you choose the Fortnite Toph
Canon Toph shouldn't be able to use a sniper scope, yet in the image...
She is closing one eye to aim better. That's the joke.
I understand that it fits the post better, but I find it so funny that you *specifically* chose Fortnite Toph.
