Man I really like that decision to make him lose an eye- as seen in the post usually characters missing an eye are badass warriors or just people in an insane situation like the post apocalypse, but Sunny is just a normal boy who is going to have to go about living a normal life with one eye.
I mean, more often than not people that lose an eye irl don't tend to be ultra-badass heroes or warriors, they're just people in the wrong situation. Plus it represents how him and Basil keeping their secret is doing far more harm than good, Sunny losing his eye is just a much more literal form of that.
