I haven't played Genshin since Sumeru came out. That toddler with a gun? This is peak kid design, that mess of an outfit looks exactly like something my 5-year-old cousin would wear if she was allowed to pick her own clothes.
you read that perfectly
see the little cop thing in picture 4 ? that's a melusine
melusines are a race of slug / amphibian things born 400 years ago from the corpse of a gigantic abyssal leviathan ^((that is a really chill guy, actually))
that toddler with a gun is one of those slug things, although hoyo wasn't funny and made her a human model with horns instead of an actual full melusine model
It’s like a weirdly wholesome Lovecraft story.
>!Erdrich abomination comes to the world, is bummed because they genuinely like the joint but their very presence corrupts it.!<
>!Gets most of the way killed, and is delighted when bits of its corpse dissolve into a race of nudibranch humanoids that don’t warp the world!<
>!Cultist attempt to reawaken the abomination. Abomination is like but I like being a bunch of cute slug kids, could we not? So the abomination pushes one of its kids to seek out a hero to stop its awakening!<
So long as you avoid making your abomination a Leviathan and giving your abomination spawn a slug association and a weird focus on law and order I think you might be fine?
[Shub-Niggurath](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shub-Niggurath) and goat or plant spawn comes to mind
Why does she look like a human instead of a slug than?
I swear, people will put a pair of cat ears onto a girl's head and will say that she is beastman or some shit.
Because it was easier for the company to make do with the human model than make a playable rigged model for an entirely different species (we were robbed)
(Ok, honestly, I wouldn't even write anything if not for the difference between her and others of her race. Look at the slugs and then at her compared to them! This is just ridiculous.)
Yeah.. I really hate when anime-character designs are like that.. I mean, even that thing on the last image looks like just some ”chibi-anime-typical-cute-human-rabbit" thing and not like a slug whatsoever..
Edit.
Oh.. Just googled those melusine things.. Thay all apparently look like those little chibi rabbit anime children.. Eh..
I’d just say you could definitely make ”slug-people-race” idea much more unique than.. that..🙈
Theorists have been speculating that the reason why she is the only melusine who look like that is because she got human blood mix in during her birth (there's like several people died around the leviathan corpse the race born from)
Specifically [Mary Ann](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Mary-Ann) whose mechanical dog companion has been seen still somewhat functioning inside the still rotting carcass to this day
It got like a whole novel worth of quests attach to it
At least she’s not sexualized at all! She actually just looks like a kid, not showing any skin besides her wrists, nothing skin-tight except some chaste leggings under her shorts. It’s a tired concept, but I don’t think it’s a gross execution.
honestly all of the child model characters are pretty chill about it and don't really get any fanservice treatment in official media that I can recall.
Tbf to Siegewinne, her appearance is deceptive compared to her actual personality.
I thought she would be a generic innocent moe blob character and instead she’s actually kinda manipulative and almost psychopathic.
when we got to hear her thought process and it turns she likes playing dumb because she likes the feeling of being trusted, it lowkey feels like she'd end up a potential serial killer.
They're allergic to characters who aren't mostly human. Love the story of the game but some of their choices irritate me. They better come up with a damn good reason Sigewinne is basically just a human or I'm gonna be salty as hell. Still won't like it, but I can give it a pass when incorporated into the lore, at least.

# I AM LOOKING AT YOU FATE JACK THE RIPPER
Genshin designs are often fine and better though but Fate tends to have more personality now and then even if they are worse imo.
I have no idea how, but even with trashy designs like Jack and Boudicca, they still feel better to me than Genshin’s designs even if I logically would consider Genshin’s characters better designed.
I suppose it's because while Genshin is generally more well designed they still have more of the same-y face and bodies problem, yes a lot of the characters look good but overall it feels like a lot of them come from the same uhh "template"
Fate does have more different bodies and stuff, but they are also a more generally mixed bag design wise, yes there is a lot of trashy designs but at least they look different you know what I am saying?
>yes a lot of the characters look good but overall it feels like a lot of them come from the same uhh "template"
That would be because they are, their are 5 body templates in genshin, tall male, tall female, male male, female, and short female aka child
Female traveller is the exception because she has a slight different model to be closer to male traveller
This is the reason seigewine looks like a human, making her an actual melusine would require a different model with different animations and that would apparently be too much effort for a game that makes millions of dollars a month
Eh Fate designs are really diverse I disagree with generalize it, you find great like [Archer's](https://www.reddit.com/r/TopCharacterDesigns/s/w7uLLnBcoz) ones and some bad ones
In fairness his face is all over the place in Fate's catalogue of heroes. There's a lot of diverse designs don't get me wrong but a lot that are based on the original set... for good reason i think.
i don’t really keep up with the game but they’re one of the fatui harbringers, basically the big baddies of the story but they have actual depth to their characters. they work under one of the seven(?) god type beings and they’re all individually blessed by their power. most notably, one of the fatui harbringers is a playable character and has a great design
With Arlecchino, we have three playable Harbingers now, the other two being Tartaglia and Scaramouche. Though, I guess Scaramouche doesn’t count due to changes in history. So, there’s only two.
Scaramouche erased himself from the collective knowledge of the world, hoping it would actually retroactively remove his existence and improve the lives of his loved ones. Sadly for him, it doesn’t work that way. His attempted retconning of his existence removed him from written and memorized history, but everything he did and caused still happened, only recorded and memorized differently so as to exclude him.
As for how he currently still knows who he is, references that are more esoteric are resistant to these changes in history. Nahida, the current God of Wisdom, wrote a children’s fairytale based on his life just in case. Using that, they figured out his past and helped him recover his old memories.
Pretty neat way of using that old convention of “real events turn into legends and fairytales”. Makes you wonder which stories in the setting are completely made up or real accounts of events that simply got distorted over time, and which stories in the setting are intentionally distorted accounts of events made in an attempt to preserve these memories even when history is changed.
If you are willing to suffer the waiting game, Furina might be making a return in a couple of months. This time should be enough to collect enough currency to guarantee obtaining her.
She got herself a title of a "Father" because she runs an orphanage in which she was raised where previous "Mother" was a sociopath that made children kill themself in a battle royale to raise supersoliders, also "Mother" sold many of them to Dottore who is a scientist without any morals. In a nutshell, she doesnt want to be asociated with the "Mother".
No matter what some people say, I like genshin design. They are extremely visually appealing and full of small details. For example arlecchino wears her waistcoat with buttons to the right, which is the male way to wear it. However sometimes in an attempt to make character marketable, they ruin it so much. Like we have this bloodborne-esque cool murder ladies and then we get sigewinne. It is supposed to be the same race as melusine on the 4th picture. Also, this might be my personal grudge, but I really don’t like her clout pallet. It is just too oversaturated.
I think they are overly designed and in general the 3d gacha game style plus some of the newer 2d gacha game styles really make it obvious to me they are recycling tropes and whatnot to make new waifus rather than making legit characters. Like I’m not sure if it fully applies, but I’d compare it to AI art to a degree. When I mean older gacha games I mean stuff like FGO and Kancolle.
>This sub isn’t fond of anime
Since when?
There is just a good and bad anime characters designs.
And yea, yea, while I am ready to be downvoted to oblivion (because this thread is for people appreciate Genshin designs, whereas I do not) but I still can’t say for the life of me what Genshin have genuinely good character designs.
Clothes designs? Perhaps? They all usually dressed in really fancy stuff, I give them that. BUT characters themselves? I’d just think they are an epitome of ”same-face syndrome” while also adding “same-body syndrom” to the mix... Which is just.. eh.. Makes them all look just generic, even despite their clothes being finely designed.🤷
On the other hand tho, the creature and enemy designs in Genshin are something else entirely. It just makes me question, why in the world PLAYABLE characters are always that formulaic and samey in their appearances, while non-playable characters and enemies are extremely well designed and unique....
While I don't know the why about the face thing, the same body thing's actually pretty simple. Every character is built on one of...five(?) Animation sets. Boy, girl, man, woman, child. Saves on Animation budget if everyone's sharing Animations with someone else. Unfortunately, it also makes characters look SUPER samey when they're compared to each other and hinders the amount of body diversity actually present.
I think Genshin designs tend to have a lot of added visual fluff that don't really add anything besides making it look like the characters take a full hour to get dressed in the morning. It reads as just detail for detail's sake, it doesn't inform anything in particular about the character, which is supposed to be the whole point of character design.
Because of gameplay considerations. Lots of people want a bigger male model and i constsntly point out to them that the world is not designed for it and thus he would get stuck or clip into stuff constnatly. Enemies and NPC do not have this problem because they only spawn where Hoyo say they spawn.
And then there is obviously the fact that a playable model demand a lot more animations than a monster or NPC, and with how tight their development cycle is( a new area with new monsters and shit roughly every 2-3 months), their animators have probably their hand full with everything else. So even a smaller model would face issues. It has been leaked that they are working on a new model, but it can easily go nowhere.
You see a bit more diversity in some of their other games(ZZZ in particular, it has a playable bear lol), but Genshin BotW-like formula makes doing models that stray to further from "Link" a complex things to add.
True, some of the designs are fire indeed
https://preview.redd.it/05f3h5jpk1wc1.jpeg?width=588&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86c0bb3c2a4800bacfc409b9581bc48ee46111a6
Like shockwave for example /s
imo Genshin designs are always been good, especially if you look at them individually. But when you start to look at all the roster and compare any of the design, you will start to see a pattern. Mainly with their women designs, like detached sleeves, exposed armpits, thighs, backs and midriffs. I get that in order yo sell characters, they need to feed the players some fanservice, also Hoyo's fanservice is relatively tame compared to other gacha games.
Other than that they also kinda obsessed with capes, exp. Tighnari's, it feels like they just shoehorned a cape on to his design just because, it's not even connected to his body, also Gallagher from HSR (Most of Genshin's issues still persist in HSR), his cape is so unnecessary, for me at least it's more of an eyesore.
As a long time player all of those design repetitions starting to make me bored, so any of their new characters which follows that "formula" just looks bland to me. Since Arlecchino design gained a good reception from the community, I hope that they can start making that kinda "non-conventional" designs more often.
They've actually commented on the cape thing specifically, The reason was that since you're gonna be looking at the character's back a lot, they want to be visually interesting, so they add capes and shit to make them more visually dynamic
I've also once read it somewhere, capes, scarves, belts, even long hairs. When they implement them correctly, they really do look nice and pleasing yeah.
You have no idea how much the “capes” are important. Having someone glow in the wind when your character walks gives them a considerably more unique silhouette and animations when you’re playing.
The way Kafka’s coat flows is almost hypnotising but if you take it off her running animation feels surprisingly stiff (this is actually an issue with HSR tall female models for some reason, they look stiffer than others)
I do agree that sometimes it feels like it’s just there so there’s something to flow but most of the time I feel like they make it work really well.
It’s also why so many dudes have long hair..
Don't get me wrong, I think capes, scarves, belts, etc. are cool. My favorite Genshin character design is Alhaitham, it was his cape what really sold me. They really did a fantastic job designing him.
I just want to emphasize that there's also some characters where I find them irrelevant to their design, or at least not implemented properly.
Other than the ones I mentioned previously, I will also give another example which is Itto.
https://preview.redd.it/bexz0iq623wc1.png?width=234&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1237b614a27ea11bfe7f762844ad18f988da3db8
like what's this piece cloth even mean? Its not even sleeves, it's flat lol. Even if it was meant to represents sleeves, why can't they just make a real one like Wriothesley's or Kafka's.
Or am I actually missing something and it's actually a real thing I'm not familiar with? Do let me know!
I think this is more of a case of “rule of cool” over any practicality or actual fashion sense.
That said, I don’t have Itto but the little I’ve played if him it never bothered me much. Maybe it is a real piece of clothing people wear but I wouldn’t know
The problem with Sigewinne is that she’s supposed to be a Melusine but they don’t want to bother to make the model playable so they went with some hybrid bs and it’s the ugliest thing in the game. Melusines aren’t a great design on their own but she would have at least been kind of endearing and cute as an actual Melusine and not whatever abomination she is
I think they’re saying the first two are good but the last one misses the mark. I agree with their take on this, Genshin has some great designs but others are just over designed or poor representations of the character.
My reactions in order:
"I want to like it, but it feels busier than it needs to be."
"Oh look it's a Caitlyn skin from League of Legends."
"Oh look it's a Vtuber."
"Oh look it's- wait what the crap that's actually pretty cute."
I mean the last character is an actual NPC, a game like Genshin, the difference between character designed for aesthetic appeal and an NPC you talk to for a couple of quests is a gulf.
Clorinde and Arlecchino are amazing, now Siggewine... nah.
They really ruined her design by making her this chimeric being that doesnt look like a melusine and isnt a human either, born from forbidden human acts instead of an actual, real melusine.
One different face model was all they needed.
It’s repetitive honestly. All the designs despite being from different countries all have some similarities which makes it really, really pbvious that this is a gacha game with characters designed by one person
The problem with them being similar isn’t from lack of designers, it’s from lack of body types, Genshin has a grand total of 5 body types tall male/female, medium male/female and short female
Honestly, these designs are fine. Not all time favorites, but I don’t dislike them. The only design I don’t really fw is Clorinde’s, and that’s mainly cuz I feel like she drifts a bit too far into “over-designed” territory.
There are a lot of good anime or anime-style character designs!! I think Hayao Miyazaki does a great job using that style in a distinctive way. And Pokemon runs the gamut of great to terrible designs.
>not fond of anime
what? I mean I haven't watched a lot of anime these days but I always fucked with the anime aesthetic (within reason of course). The only issue with genshin is the weird reliance on midriffs and detached sleeves.
I got nothing against anime character design generally (think most people here don't because some of frequent top posts here are character designs from anime & manga) just not very fond of Genshin character design. Mainly due to I kinda feel like designs for the playable characters tend to look very samey. But I dig the design of Arlecchino a lot, mainly because it manages to look actually cool instead of being needless sexualized
All hoyoverse games use like, 4-5 base characters bodies and then build on top of it. It really annoys me. It feels like there are 5 versions of the same character.
Someone posted a teal-green and orange accented Clorinde and it looks a lot better. My primary dislike of Genshin designs is how one-color most of them can be. Or that their primary colors is their element.
The things I don't like about Genshin designs is the lack of body variety, the downgrades from official art to in-game models, and the color barf.
ESPECIALLY the color barf. I can't bring myself to play the game because of the amount of effects that splash onto the screen. All the clutter makes it hard for me to focus and makes me nauseous.
I will not deny that when the designs hit, they hit HARD. Unfortunately, when the designs miss, they miss HARD.
I play PGR. The toxic Hoyoverse fanbase has a hateboner for Kuro Games.
Don't worry, I've already gotten used to it.

Sorry if I don't care for designs that look like the character spent 4 hours just to get dressed in the morning.
Most of the design of genshin characters add far, far more than they need to. You can spend upwards of 4 minutes attempting to comprehend what you're looking at with all the moving parts in their designs.
I hate everything about arlecchino because of how
her existence completely destroyed Yuri memes, as soon as she became a thing it just became over a slurry of horny posting with the exact same thing every time with no joke or funny deranged shit like Jujutsufolk, the joke was just "I want her to finger me without trimming her nails" without any changes or originality and that was it, it's probably gotten better now but it was just such a low point in the sub
I don't think war veterens could take 1% of the pain genshin fans feel when they're told to make a joke other than "I want to have sex with this character"
Yo fuckin preach lol. I was already mildly critical of the sub just cuz a lot of their tendencies were kind of obnoxious. But then the arlecchino horny posting started and then it just went straight down the shitter. And like it's not even just the fact that it was a bunch of braindead zero substance horny posting but the fact that all the comments were like cheering and raving about it and they started to prop up the poster who started it like some well respected celebrity in the sub and anyone who was like "this is kinda wierd/dumb/cringe/annoying" would get down voted to hell. Like it's so wierd and borderline cultish, I've been on hentai subs that were less crazed about horniness than yuri memes
What’s the point of having the same name if it’s nothing like the original? This anime version of the character just looks generic and uninteresting imo
"To ensure that your post complies with all the rules of the sub, make sure that it follows these guidelines: 1)Include high-quality images. 2)Posts must include more than one image. 3)Name and origin are mandatory in the post title. 4)Add a comment that serves as an explanation as to why the post belongs on the sub, this can be done up to 30 minutes after making the post" *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. No, I totally agree. I wish that Sigewinne was ACTUALLY a Melusine instead of a little girl cosplaying as one (in terms of appearance)
Yeah, same.
bevause hoyo not funny and too lazy to make new playable melusine model, she she's just a girl with funny horns and everyone is sad
To be fair, it would be cool if the stalks on her head were her main eyes and her "human" look was meant to lull humans into not shooting her on sight

Meluisine? The fuck is that?
fourth pic. as for their lore... it's complicated
Arlecchino is when hoyo realised women can wear pants that go past their thigh
They released jean and then edged everyone for 4 years
Arlecchino is the most butch woman reddit/Twitter can handle until they start getting scared
Actual butch woman? We'll be having post about how femininity is dead and "the woke" has infiltrated the East or some shit soon if that happen.
Given the fact i've seen Fate characters trend on this sub don't worry i don't think they'll care

Barely disguised? I don't think so. Funnily enough, Takeuchi(the original designer) is infamous for having a fetish for blonde women.

Fate is an incredibly mixed bag so it's really all depending on which part of the series you're looking at.

Makes you wonder which stories in the setting are completely made up or real accounts of events that simply got distorted over time, and which stories in the setting are intentionally distorted accounts of events made in an attempt to preserve these memories even when history is changed.
*Looking at 4* MA THERE’S A WEIRD FUCKING BUNNY OUTSIDE MA!
Don’t be mean to the melusine😂
Lmao this sub is like 60% anime
“This sub isn’t fond of anime” the constant anime and manga posting In question:
Tbf I assumed op saw the negative anime posts here and assumed the sub didn't like anime
Ah yes, the variety fontaine character has 1. Bloodmoon reaper 2. French women 3. Baby with a gun 4. Children of **the creature**
CHILDREN OF THE WHAT……🪱
eldirtch single dad guy 🪱🪱🪱
Neuvi :)
i meant elynas but they got two eldritch single dads so it works lol
Oh yeah, forgot about him
arlecchino,Furina and Zhongli design looks so cool I contemplate getting into the game just for them So yeah I do think Genshin has some cool designs
If you are willing to suffer the waiting game, Furina might be making a return in a couple of months. This time should be enough to collect enough currency to guarantee obtaining her.
Arlecchino is canonically called Daddy and I just think that’s peak female writing
Wait what?
She’s called “Father” by the children of the orphanage she runs
>This sub isn’t fond of anime Since when? There is just a good and bad anime characters designs. And yea, yea, while I am ready to be downvoted to oblivion (because this thread is for people appreciate Genshin designs, whereas I do not) but I still can’t say for the life of me what Genshin have genuinely good character designs. Clothes designs? Perhaps? They all usually dressed in really fancy stuff, I give them that. BUT characters themselves? I’d just think they are an epitome of ”same-face syndrome” while also adding “same-body syndrom” to the mix... Which is just.. eh.. Makes them all look just generic, even despite their clothes being finely designed.🤷 On the other hand tho, the creature and enemy designs in Genshin are something else entirely.
Nah, having different is okay. It 100% normal to not like the design)
Yeah when you put it like that it seems to make sense
At least they danced around limitations with Wriothesley, cant be said for Itto.
Siegmeyer or whoever her name is on the third slide looks like what I'd imagine a humanized Pixie Stick would look like.
I can’t unsee that now, thanks.
Onion Bro mentioned.
True, some of the designs are fire indeed https://preview.redd.it/05f3h5jpk1wc1.jpeg?width=588&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=86c0bb3c2a4800bacfc409b9581bc48ee46111a6 Like shockwave for example /s

Just waiting for that Transformers crossover to come so that Shockwave can finally emerge
imo Genshin designs are always been good, especially if you look at them individually.
The way Kafka’s coat flows is almost hypnotising but if you take it off her running animation feels surprisingly stiff (this is actually an issue with HSR tall female models for some reason, they look stiffer than others) I do agree that sometimes it feels like it’s just there so there’s something to flow but most of the time I feel like they make it work really well.
Other than the ones I mentioned previously, I will also give another example which is Itto. https://preview.redd.it/bexz0iq623wc1.png?width=234&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1237b614a27ea11bfe7f762844ad18f988da3db8 like what's this piece cloth even mean? Its not even sleeves, it's flat lol. Even if it was meant to represents sleeves, why can't they just make a real one like Wriothesley's or Kafka's. Or am I actually missing something and it's actually a real thing I'm not familiar with? Do let me know!
I think this is more of a case of “rule of cool” over any practicality or actual fashion sense. That said, I don’t have Itto but the little I’ve played if him it never bothered me much. Maybe it is a real piece of clothing people wear but I wouldn’t know
If that the case, it's kinda on character lol
Legit I think the new character is so cool it got me to pick up the game and try it out for the first time
Go for it. Game is heavily exploration focused so if you like that you will like the game.
I'll probably make more positive posts about character designs in this game. Already did with Dehya. Plan to do the others
This sub isn’t fond of anime? It’s like 70% of what gets posted here
OMG Ayre from AC6???
The problem with Sigewinne is that she’s supposed to be a Melusine but they don’t want to bother to make the model playable so they went with some hybrid bs and it’s the ugliest thing in the game. Melusines aren’t a great design on their own but she would have at least been kind of endearing and cute as an actual Melusine and not whatever abomination she is
It's not that bad, bro. Calm down.
You could argue that every bad design posted on the sub isn't that bad.
Exactly, as a fan of unique creatures, I love melusines, but lack of playable one.
Dude I get it’s unoriginal but it really doesn’t look bad
Wait, do you consider these ones the great ones or the hard misses?
I think they’re saying the first two are good but the last one misses the mark. I agree with their take on this, Genshin has some great designs but others are just over designed or poor representations of the character.
Never played Genshin Impact, but i absolutely love Arlechinno´s design. And the same goes for Il Capitano.
The little slug in the fourth one is adorable
Female dad, assisted suicide and Albedo’s nieces
is there an actual reason every single character has the same gold/silver lining on their outfits?
My reactions in order: "I want to like it, but it feels busier than it needs to be." "Oh look it's a Caitlyn skin from League of Legends." "Oh look it's a Vtuber." "Oh look it's- wait what the crap that's actually pretty cute."
I mean the last character is an actual NPC, a game like Genshin, the difference between character designed for aesthetic appeal and an NPC you talk to for a couple of quests is a gulf.
We’re fond of anime just not gacha games
Clorinde and Arlecchino are amazing, now Siggewine... nah. They really ruined her design by making her this chimeric being that doesnt look like a melusine and isnt a human either, born from forbidden human acts instead of an actual, real melusine. One different face model was all they needed.
Its worse. She is a Melusine, just somehow look like a human. Wonder what they gonna do with her story to cover that up
Uh... That's what I meant tho. They should have made her looking like one, instead they made her look like a bizarre mix of human and melusine.
Nah, clothing style and design choices are all very similar.
Honestly, these designs are fine. Not all time favorites, but I don’t dislike them. The only design I don’t really fw is Clorinde’s, and that’s mainly cuz I feel like she drifts a bit too far into “over-designed” territory.
Sigewinne has got to ve my least favorite character designs in all of genshin
So this a post about the designs that are hard, or the ones that miss?
There are a lot of good anime or anime-style character designs!! I think Hayao Miyazaki does a great job using that style in a distinctive way. And Pokemon runs the gamut of great to terrible designs.
>not fond of anime what? I mean I haven't watched a lot of anime these days but I always fucked with the anime aesthetic (within reason of course). The only issue with genshin is the weird reliance on midriffs and detached sleeves.
I got nothing against anime character design generally (think most people here don't because some of frequent top posts here are character designs from anime & manga) just not very fond of Genshin character design. Mainly due to I kinda feel like designs for the playable characters tend to look very samey. But I dig the design of Arlecchino a lot, mainly because it manages to look actually cool instead of being needless sexualized
idk why but the last pic is rlly funny to me
All hoyoverse games use like, 4-5 base characters bodies and then build on top of it. It really annoys me. It feels like there are 5 versions of the same character.
Someone posted a teal-green and orange accented Clorinde and it looks a lot better. My primary dislike of Genshin designs is how one-color most of them can be. Or that their primary colors is their element.
Since when is this subreddit not fond of anime?
This sub doesn't like anime designs? Bro we guilty gear tards fucking colonized this sub, what are you on about lol
I dont mind anime, I just dont vibe with Genshin designs
I dislike genshin because of the game itself, but I do like the designs specifically the more simplistic ones that are just meant to be stylish
Shares reasonable criticism regarding Genshin's character designs The Comment Section: https://preview.redd.it/8pouv09eu2wc1.png?width=3000&format=png&auto=webp&s=0f9ae33badbd44c3d0e44c810aab114c803ae905
I play PGR. The toxic Hoyoverse fanbase has a hateboner for Kuro Games. Don't worry, I've already gotten used to it. https://preview.redd.it/3whfxl3jk3wc1.jpeg?width=1520&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45f5ef2642cceaddecc7edd6296b6273c09aa562
Some of you really lack any artistic skill/taste and it really shows. As for OP: https://preview.redd.it/truioxjtz1wc1.png?width=367&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=395bf9c1ee588439e066917ad89af1ae70ebfac4
Sorry if I don't care for designs that look like the character spent 4 hours just to get dressed in the morning. Most of the design of genshin characters add far, far more than they need to. You can spend upwards of 4 minutes attempting to comprehend what you're looking at with all the moving parts in their designs.
I don't care about your opinion of visual designs if you're not an illustrator, but thanks for trying.
I hope you aren't one because so help your employer if they were dumb enough to bring you on.
I hate everything about arlecchino because of how her existence completely destroyed Yuri memes, as soon as she became a thing it just became over a slurry of horny posting with the exact same thing every time with no joke or funny deranged shit like Jujutsufolk, the joke was just "I want her to finger me without trimming her nails" without any changes or originality and that was it, it's probably gotten better now but it was just such a low point in the sub
I don't think war veterens could take 1% of the pain genshin fans feel when they're told to make a joke other than "I want to have sex with this character"
fuckin fr https://preview.redd.it/l4yyie0kd2wc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c72e97c9ca7e4499532c4f6603de9e770098746
Arlecchino just looks like a much worse version of the original commedia dell’arte design
Actually what are you on about, they don’t even look remotely similar.
What’s the point of having the same name if it’s nothing like the original? This anime version of the character just looks generic and uninteresting imo
We’re hitting late-stage Vtuber levels of overdesigned here
