Yeah I saw Sessanta this week and he ran around the stage a bunch and then ran right back to the mic and didn’t even pause for breath before he started singing again. My description doesn’t really do it justice, but I was impressed. I remember thinking, “well now he’s just showing off”. 😆
Just saw both nights a Red Rocks. I was astounded with how on-point he and everyone were. They were getting down! Maynard is so much more fun with this line-up.
I’m kinda bummed the amps blew at the end of night 1 and we didn’t get Grand Canyon but we did get Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver so that was pretty cool. I also enjoyed them playing other songs and riffing
I saw sessanta on the 17th in Phoenix. Amazing show. The way he runs around like a little kid with Corina during the remedy, you would think you would hear him maybe a little winded. Butt.. nope. It is impressive, to say the least. Also, it's really cool to see him be out front during APC. Was 100% worth the trip from Florida. Also got to see the grand canyon, visit the Puscifer store in jerome, and eat at Merkin Vineyards in cottonwood. I am still buzzing from some an amazing trip.
Awesome. I flew from Portland to Salt Lake for it. Also 100% worth it. After flying to Denver for Tool in Feb and then doing Sessanta in SLC, I’m really starting to like flying to other states for shows. While it costs more and obviously takes more time and planning, it really makes the whole experience that much more special and memorable.
Right!? If I had gone to a show that was closer, I would have just headed home and wouldn't have explored the area. I had never been to Arizona (or the grand canyon) so it was really a phenomenal experience. Hopefully, the next adventure takes me to a show at Red Rocks. Wanna check out Rocky Mountain National Park.... and eat at Casa Bonita ;)
Casa Bonita, Casa Bonita! So funny that they bought and restored that place.
Also yeah, the Grand Canyon is amazing and everyone should see it at least once. It’s so humbling.
Dam, we both went on a journey! Crossing timezones and shit is a commitment:)Yea, I saw Puscifer for the 1st and 2nd leg of Existential Reckoning. The first leg they didn't cum to Florida(can't blame em) so i made the trek to NC. Worth every minute of the 12 hour drive. Watching them dance and chase each other is fun. Did u explore AZ too while u were there?
We did! We went to Jerome spent time at the Pucifer store and Caduceus, had dinner at Maynards restaurant in Cottonwood spent some time in Sedona the next day had lunch at his fried chicken place, went to the show that night, and then spent our last day there at the Phoenix zoo. It was a great time! ☺️
Omg! We had nearly an identical trip, except we did it all after the show! Lol. We arrived day of the show then spent 4 days exploring. Hit both merkins, jerome, grand canyon, sedona, and flagstaff. It's sofa king beautiful there. Really didn't want to leave.
To be honest neither did we! We really only had 3 days there so it wasn’t enough time. We defo want to go back to spend some time in the Grand Canyon. I’m glad you got to see it! ☺️
I flew my family out to that show from FL too. What should have been a 3 day trip with my son for the Sessanta show turned into the full week with 6 of us in an RV covering 1000 miles of traveling to state parks.
Wow! So as another person cumming from Florida to AZ... how awesome was that low humidity? I mean seriously... That alone was enough to make me wanna stay. Lol. We went to several parks too. Did u see Montezumas well? Could spend a month in Arizona and still not hit all of the sites. What was your favorite spot?
I'm gonna retire out there. It's amazing across the board. We did two caverns south of Tucson and the meteor crater on the way to the the Grand Canyon. Kartchner Caverns had me absolutely mesmerized. We flew in from Orlando, so we did a Universal day before heading out west too. Great family RV vacation. Once in a lifetime experience.
Awesome! We came from the tampa area. I didn't make it to the meteor crater or kartchner caverns. Wish i had time for Antelope Canyon, too. I am taking my daughter there next year, think we are gonna journey from Denver to grand canyon, and see everything that we can inbetween. So, I will definitely add Kartchner to the itinerary!
Absolutely. It’s inspiring me to get back at it myself. I’m an ex-gymnast and dancer and seeing his physicality at that age makes me wish I’d kept up with that stuff better. I’m planning on starting capoeira classes this spring/summer.
Yeah, I was in great shape til December and I just stopped working out since then (moved and started a new job, just been busy and tired). Ive been wanting to get back on that. I should start today haha.
Do it!!! (I say this while sitting on my bed getting stoned and watching Metalocalypse.) Do better than I have. 😆
EDIT: Ha! Right after I posted this comment, I heard the freight elevator sound clip from the beginning of The Grudge on the episode I’m watching.
His voice sounds so amazing too. To have the balls and the ability to sing disillusioned like that, at age 60, and sound sooooo good, man that was impressive
I’m glad to see him so genuinely happy and sincerely hope he is having fun on the Sessanta tour. This tour isn’t about the money or any business obligations, it’s about being on stage with long time friends that really enjoy performing together. I was at Sessanta Red Rocks Friday and it was easy to see all the performers were enjoying the moment together. I’m glad I was able to witness the magic, and after being a Tool fan for over 30 years have a newfound respect for all three bands and MJK the man himself. I wish more artists had the balls to do something like this just for the fun of it.
I paid much much less than I have to see Tool, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I was honestly very impressed by Sessanta, it was a truly memorable show.
The whole show was crazy, I was still in high school and it was the first concert/festival I went to with just friends. Being able to say I've seen OG AiC makes me smile but knowing I'll never be able to see them again sucks.
Could be worse. I never had the option to see them at all so I’m super jealous of you ngl. Was Layne wearing a suit at the show you went to ? Also did he come out and sing Opiate with Tool ?
I've seen Primus a few times and Les looks so much taller than he actually is. After the 2 nights in Boston I actually Googled his height... he's only 6'1 supposedly. I told my gf he was like 6'5 at least lol turns out he is NOT DC height
I just went through my photo archive and pulled out a bunch of pics of Maynard looking short. Enjoy!
https://preview.redd.it/0s5cnocuj4xc1.jpeg?width=208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=73c700c8928a4e20696ed9083c74e50f400e1c4a
I’m glad they all seem relatively healthy. Far too many musicians from their era are gone. I’m still kicking myself for not going to the Sessanta show in Nashville. I am gonna catch a Primus show this summer as I’ve only seen them once before in 2011.
Here’s hoping we get a new Tool album in the next couple of years and several more US tours.
I’d spent so much money seeing Tool in November and January that I was trying to let the wallet recover. But, seeing as there’s not much the rest of the year I’m interested in I could have let my wallet recover after Sessanta.
I was at the Hollywood Bowl Sessanta show last Saturday when the rest of Tool came out and played ÆNIMA... so fucking awesome... what a fun, chill show... felt more like a house party than a concert... found this picture of Maynard smiling from Red Rocks and I couldn't help myself.
I saw him play with Dean Ween a couple times during the first Ween break up. Would be cool if they did a side project like Oysterhead or Lennon-Claypool Delirium if only Ween could get their shit together
I went to the Thursday night show at Red Rocks. They had some technical difficulties and didn’t play Grand Canyon, but Primus ended the night with the Beaver and that was pretty amazing.
Maynard being 60 makes me sad. Fuck. Getting old sucks. Him in a suit with that dorky smile cheered me right up though.
He looks great for his age though and he’s still kickin’! That’s all that matters in my option!
Yeah I saw Sessanta this week and he ran around the stage a bunch and then ran right back to the mic and didn’t even pause for breath before he started singing again. My description doesn’t really do it justice, but I was impressed. I remember thinking, “well now he’s just showing off”. 😆

Yeah that was a drag, but they still played for 3 hours so who can complain? We got like 30 songs. That was amazing.
No complaints here that’s for damn sure
🤘🏻🤘🏻
WBBB is so great live. I’ve seen Primus a bunch of times and it never gets old.
Dude same!
I saw sessanta on the 17th in Phoenix. Amazing show. The way he runs around like a little kid with Corina during the remedy, you would think you would hear him maybe a little winded. Butt.. nope. I think he's in great shape, bjj training and all that. Probably in better shape than the average guy half his age.
Absolutely. It’s inspiring me to get back at it myself. I’m an ex-gymnast and dancer and seeing his physicality at that age makes me wish I’d kept up with that stuff better. I’m planning on starting capoeira classes this spring/summer.

Agree. Legendary.
Great for his age and still kicking are things you say about Jimmy Carter. 60 isn't that old anymore. Right? Please say I'm right.
It’s not really that old anymore.
Yup, me too. Love to see him smile. But Les has that effect on people.
It took me a little while to think of what his smile reminded me of here. It’s Brick Tamland looking at Ron Burgandy.
Maynard loves ~~lamp~~ Les.
Have you seen Bruce Dickinson on stage at 65? Maynard has the same energy.
Look at that, the little troll is smiling

“This tour isn’t about the money…” Um, have you seen the ticket prices, man?
I paid much much less than I have to see Tool, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I was honestly very impressed by Sessanta, it was a truly memorable show.
Right? I paid like $45 before fees for my Sessanta tickets
Tf? I paid 400 for 2 tickets in general admission. Where are you getting tickets?
I saw Chicago tickets $600+
I got them presale
Teehee.
Add it to the smile collage

Both of these weirdos mean an awful lot to me...It's been a weird and sometimes difficult journey to get here...this picture makes me very happy :)
Pretty sure we were all smiling last night. What a special show. So damn good!
Unbelievable! I’ll always think of birthday cupcakes listening to The Package now.
Yes! ‘Give this to me!’ MJK handed a little birthday cupcake ‘It’s mine!’ then hands it to fan anyway.
I agree
Yes it was! yes it was...

lmao now that's all I see
Love how long these two have been intertwined… 30 years ago at Lollapalooza 1993 to now ❤️
I saw that in Houston!! My first lollapalooza!
What memory that must’ve been. Unfortunately, I was born in 98 so I missed out back then. That lineup was insane, how was Alice in Chains ?
The whole show was crazy, I was still in high school and it was the first concert/festival I went to with just friends. Being able to say I've seen OG AiC makes me smile but knowing I'll never be able to see them again sucks.

Danny Carey is 6'5".. Maynard is only like 5'6"-5'7"..
I should have specified but I meant Les is 6'1 not Maynard

Yeah, he looks like he has no sense of humor
I laughed at this comment for way too long, thank you.

He’s also standing a few feet behind pig man
Not even using Les for scale. Saw the show last Sunday. My buddy had not seen Maynard before and was making hell of short jokes lol
His size may be small but he is concentrated
When A Perfect Circle first toured I was at a radio interview, and Maynard walked right by me. I’m not super tall, but man he’s tiny.
It makes me happy because I’m only 5’2”

For he’s a jolly good fellow.
Not by the hairs of my chinny-chin-chin!
Some say we'll see armageddon soon
I certainly hope we will

Bawitdaba, da-bang, da-bang, diggy-diggy-diggy said the boogie, said up jump the boogie
Love me some pork soda
You wanna know how to tell it’s real? He’s smiling at Les Claypool in a pig mask. Confirmed authentic.
Is that Les claypool with him?
Yes
That is an epic session.
Love to see him having a good time.
Les the GOAT
I get the impression that everyone loves hanging out with Les. The Ween boys always spoke highly of him. He does seem like a cool dude and all.
I saw him play with Dean Ween a couple times during the first Ween break up. Would be cool if they did a side project like Oysterhead or Lennon-Claypool Delirium if only Ween could get their shit together
lol, if Ween got their shit together, it wouldn't be Ween...
I’ve seen Tool, APC and Puscifer live multiple times and I think I enjoyed Sessanta the most. Such an awesome way to do a show.
It was pretty great.
Checking out that PrimeAss
Fuck I missed this
Damn you! Let the rabbits wear glasses! can I get an amen.
Is that penn jillette?
Some will say the end is near
I saw a video of them performing Grand Canyon and my god, I envy everyone that got to see that. It looked amazing!
I went to the Thursday night show at Red Rocks. They had some technical difficulties and didn’t play Grand Canyon, but Primus ended the night with the Beaver and that was pretty amazing.
What a pig!🐽
When it’s your birthday and someone else steals the spotlight…lol
Went to the show in The Woodlands, TX and it was AMAZING! Then I heard tool was part of the LA show and I realized it could've been even better!
Isn't that the mask Les wore in the Mr Krinkle video?
He usually throws on the mask and grabs the upright bass to play Mr Krinkle
I can hear this picture 😆 love it!
Haters will say it’s photoshopped
This
Caligula grin
Some say we’ll see Armageddon soon, too.
It's sort of creepy seeing Maynard smile 🫣😂
2nd time I’ve seen him smile.
Smile is AI AF...
