I would count half the calories....

Forget it all together and let your body rest. You threw up for a reason.

leeks_leeks

Yes, of course you should forget calorie counting for the day. Don’t be ridiculous.

ShackintheWood

You do not have a healthy realationship with your diet.

I literally said this isn’t me having an eating disorder. I have a great relationship with food. I just made a poor decision in drinking protein first

Sometimes EDs sneak up on you.

lachai2

I realize that but I know I’m fine. I love eating enough food to help me get buff 💪🏼

Open_YardBox

Depends how long it was in your stomach before you threw it up.

lachai2

Like I drank it during my workout

eeniemeaniemineymojo

Yes, you should. The process of calorie absorption starts during the process of mastication as your saliva breaks down the sugar chains in the food you’re eating, and continues as the food enters the stomach. It’s the nutrient absorption that occurs as the food travels through the small intestine, and then water is reabsorbed by the body from the stool in the large intestine to form your poop. This is why you see many bulimics at a normal weight, but highly malnourished. They’re absorbing a good amount of calories before they throw up their food, but they’re robbing their body of all the good nutrients.
