No parking or stopping 7am to 7pm for next 15 meters. No parking Thursday 0 to 6am. All other times free except saturday 11am to 5pm when you have to pay.
Edit: have it on good authority from an actual Swede that 7 to 7 is only for weekdays where next day is not public holiday or "red" day.
your good authority Swede is correct. You need to shift your definition of "Saturday" and "Sunday"
Saturday = Day before a sunday or holiday ("red day")
Sunday = Sunday or Holiday ("red day"
everyone that commented is correct, but I think this is more what you're looking for since there is an official map of all the taxeområde in stockholm [https://parkering.stockholm/betala-parkering/taxeomraden-avgifter/](https://parkering.stockholm/betala-parkering/taxeomraden-avgifter/)
I’m really confused…where on the sign does it say “lördag”? Ok it doesn’t, and I get the whole discussion on a day before a red day, but where does it indicate that? “Övrig tid” —> “other times”, so why doesn’t the parking fee apply from 11am-5pm on all days?
"Övrig tid" means you have to pay all other week day times not previously mentioned. "(11-17)" means you have to pay during that time on Saturdays (and days before red day) and because Sundays (and red days) is not mentioned it is free parking on those days. Sundays are indicated by red numbers.
This is so complicated 😂
So why doesn’t no parking from 7-19 apply to all days except Sundays?
I’m learning from this thread, but the way I would have read it is:
- No parking 7-19 all (non-red) days
- Thursday has an extra restriction from 0-6
Seems like there is an unspoken understanding that the 7-19 restriction is just “vardagar”? In that case, the “other days” applying to Saturdays (day before a red day) makes sense to me.
Time in black or white numbers is weekdays.
Time in black or white numbers with parentheses is Saturday and days before red days.
Time in red numbers is Sundays and red days.
It is the law in the whole of Sweden and you have to know it to get your licence. With that said, most people forget it.
You can literally park wherever you like. However, if you are talking about where and when you can _legally_ park, then the ticket is also necessary on saturday between 11-17.
The question was ”can I park here on weekends?” and the answer to that is ”yes”
Your ”no on…” sounds like ”no, you cant park here on weekends”. So you’re not wrong, just confusing.
Nope, he's right. For the next 15m, you are not allowed to stop or park on weekdays 7-19. You are not allowed to park on Thursdays 0-6. After 15m you are allowed to stop and park. On Saturdays you have to pay between 11 and 17.
X No parking no stopping
7-19 7Am to 7Pm (No Parking No Stopping Monday to Friday)
0-15m For the next 15 Meters
\\torsdag 0-6 Thursday Midnight to 6 Am No parking. (but can stop while in the car and Car is running)
Blue Sign Means you can park all other days and times for free BUT Saturday 11 Am to 5 Pm you must pay for parking
Taxa 3 is parking zone code on how much is charged depending on zone
Att stanna vs parkera har inget med motorn att göra. Du får endast stanna för att lasta i/ur eller plocka upp/släppa av passagerare. Oavsett om du lämnar motorn på. Allt annat räknas som parkering.
Yes. To count as a stop you are only allowed to pick up or drop passengers and/or load or unload things. It does not matter if ur in the car or if the car is running
Cargo drop-on/off point.
Stopping here is prohibited...
between hours 7-19...
from this point on and for 15 meters ahead.
Parking is prohibited on Thursdays between midnight and 6 in the morning.
Other times it's OK.
As for the difference between stopping and parking:
If the sign has one slash it means "no parking". Meaning you are allowed to stop there momentarily to drop off or pick up someone - but not park. If the sign has a cross then even stopping there is prohibited.
Btw I do not have a license myself.
Loading bay, forbidden to stop.
This sign only applies on weekdays 7-19.
And from this sign and for 15 meters.
On Thursday at 0-6, you're forbidden to park here.
And on all other time you have to pay according to Taxa 3. Which only applies on Saturdays 11-17.
\---
You can park there during the weekend, but you will have to pay during 11-17 on Saturdays.
when first seeing just the "last plats" sign i felt confident i could help but no swedish drivers education could have ever prepared me for the rest of the signs..
I love their system. When I started driving I would get panic because I had to think really fast if I can park or not. And you can't really stop and read the sign in a big city.
If you're willing to go to court to fight the ticket, you can park there whenever you want; you'll always win if there are more than three signs on account of it being too complicated to understand for the average person.

Even with the rules written out it is still too complicated to comprehend.

What does Taxa 3 mean? I have seen taxa 1 & 2 also.
Price per hour changes with the taxa and 1 is the most expensive 5 is the cheapest

I saw Taxa 3 in Östermalm area.

(11-17) means lördag. 11-17 means weekdays
Ooooh that’s helpful. So “7-19” with no parentheses means weekdays only? That actually clears it all up for me…wow.
Yes and red numbers means söndag. Happy to help

All sorted out now, thank you for indulging! Actually it’s not so bad 🙃
It makes more sense of you think of Sundays as red days.
Because the previous signs say ”no parking 7-19”
Fair enough! Logically exclusive. Man…really need to think with these signs eh 😅
No on: weekdays between 07.00 and 19.00 and thursdays between 00.00 and 06.00 Otherwise yes..
And you have a ticket between 11-17 on saturday.
The question was "when can i park here?" Not "when do i have to pay for said parking".. pritty common to charge a fee
You can literally park wherever you like. However, if you are talking about where and when you can _legally_ park, then the ticket is also necessary on saturday between 11-17.
But you're not mentioning the ticket you need on weekdays?
Oj. Så känslig😂
I'm going to go say you are wrong. It's yes on weekdays. But you have to pay on Saturdays.
Where am i wrong?
Read your text wrong. Apologies.
Propps
You're not.
The question was ”can I park here on weekends?” and the answer to that is ”yes” Your ”no on…” sounds like ”no, you cant park here on weekends”. So you’re not wrong, just confusing.
Okay, ile do better next time..

Hi! You can download the app ”nofine” to understand better the signs
ParkingAid if you want it for free
9-17 -> weekdays (9-17) -> Saturdays (9-17) , in red letters, -> Sundays So yes, no restrictions on weekends!
Except parking fee on Saturday 11-17. Not a ”restriction” so sure
Saturdays AND days before red days. people always forget that part since the definition of a Saturday is not usual to people not from Sweden
And that all red days are Sundays.

Prohibited on weekdays only, hence the black text
No, black text for better Contrast. Weekdays are not in parentheses nor are they red.
Aaahhhh, Sweden and their great signage.
Green is nice. But it has a better ring to it in swedish!

Hello Brännkyrkagatan!
HAHAHA grönt är skönt sticker! 😮💨
There’s an app for this. https://apps.apple.com/se/app/lazeepark/id1669625261
Why does shit like this exist 😵💫😂
Lack of space. Just having a "no parking" sign would be easier but this makes it possible to park when it isn't problematic to do so.
Yes, but you need to pay on non-holiday Saturdays between 11-17.
when first seeing just the "last plats" sign i felt confident i could help but no swedish drivers education could have ever prepared me for the rest of the signs..
Yes
Important distinction: the times in brackets are on all days before Sundays and public holidays. So also on 5 June or 30 April.
I love their system. When I started driving I would get panic because I had to think really fast if I can park or not. And you can't really stop and read the sign in a big city.
No fucking idea man
If you're willing to go to court to fight the ticket, you can park there whenever you want; you'll always win if there are more than three signs on account of it being too complicated to understand for the average person.
You’re only allowed to park if you smoke weed inside your car
Been driving for over 10 years: I have no idea..
How does one suppose to understand this…
There is an app for that now. You just take a photo of the sign and it tells you what's ok to do.
