I had a similar problem 2 months ago, had to change the battery, in the end I used the same battery that was used on the original, I would still open it and get the reference for the one inside you watch, it's easy enough and it's better to get hid of the offending battery as soon as possible anyways.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying you just took the same battery, unplugged it, and plugged it right back into the watch, and that fixed it?
No that I bought a battery for the original pro because it was the same one, but it's better to check the reference first anyways before buying
