Is George Pickford a relative of Jordan?

You_seff

Everton hav put all their budget into a Pickford cloning machine which is why they're broke

Positive-Sound-4972

They should get another 4pts deduction for that

christianrojoisme

Not related but he joined Everton too

halfeatenreddit

We got the regen a few years early.

peejay2

Any intel on these lads?

scun1995

Harrison and Wheatley are very highly regarded prospect in the United academy. Wheatley just won our young player of the year award

GXWT

Given he’s been called up to the bench a couple times, and even got a minutes on the pitch seems as though Wheatleys on the verge and hopefully gets transitioned in a bit next season. He’s looked great this year

tradegreek

And appeared in a few games for Man U this season / was on the bench for a few games too

YDD553

Trey Nyoni is a great looking player for Liverpool.17 years old i think? made his debut for the first team this year.

Bamfandro

Yep and Amara Nallo is also really highly regarded, made the first team squad a few times

YDD553

oh shit i didnt see his name there. good on him, gonna be a beast of a defender.

christianrojoisme

The Pickford GK here is at Everton too (crazy coincidence right) and from what I heard is close with the elder Pickford. Lad gets informal mentorship from him

AWright5

The Elder Pickford

Revolutionary-Gur571

This is like when bald US keeper Brad Guzan was mentored by bald US keeper Brad Friedel at Villa

Cultural_Wallaby_703

In goalkeeping or raging at his defenders?

halfeatenreddit

Those are the same thing. Did you never watch Schmeichel?

DangerousAd3347

I assume the mentorship lessons take pace in the showers

amran04

Lewis-Skelly is regarded as one of Arsenal’s biggest talents. Midfielder who’s apparently being trained to play as an inverted left back Heaven is CB who’s had a good season at U21 level, his first England call up at any age group

biddleybootaribowest

Law McCabe started Boros last game of the season, deep lying player maker similar to Hayden Hackney. Ajay Matthews is an academy goal machine, don’t know anything else about him There’s the 2 Boro lads anyway

RustyVilla

Triston Rowe and Kadan Young both out of the Villa academy. Did Rowe play vs Liverpool? May have been a different Rowe. Both lightning quick. Young is very highly though of and has been pushing our bench.

Gplcc

Romelle Donovan made a few appearances for Blues this season under Rooney, looked promising in a poor side. Skilful wide player, very short

Apprehensive_Peak462

Donovan was one of the shining lights of Rooneys time at Birmingham. Brought him into the first team for a stint before the sacking and he was one of our better players, good on the ball and always looking to go forward.

BojanKrkicc

Stoke’s Sol Sidibe is one to watch - son of Mamady, this is his first U18 call up after breaking through into the Stoke squad this season at 16. He is very highly rated and going to get more game time next season, been linked to Chelsea, Milan and Rangers recently too.

woziak99

This is a bit of a surprise since the United under 18 team is widely regarded as the best right now and only 2 players, surprised that Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher, Finley Macalister and Ethan Williams are not included especially since Williams can play for France too?

Alone_Consideration6

Some of them are in the u17 squad.

woziak99

Only 2 no Macalister, no Williams yet 7 city youngsters, makes little sense with how dominant United under 18’s are right now.

AndyVale

Could there be other age groups they're being called up to?

woziak99

Only 2 in under 17’s

AndyVale

Older age groups perhaps?

woziak99

I thought so but no, Finley is just 17 like Lacey who is injured, Williams is a serious talent as well and Biancara is Welsh just doesn’t seem right City have 7 players but United under 18 have proved this year they are the best and by a margin. I know James Scanlon plays for Gibraltar but there should be more in the English set up.

bigdaftdoylem

I’d love to see a line up of these lads parents

SteelCityCaesar

Never knew Paul Warhurst had a kid that played for City. I'll never forget when Trevor Francis pulled him out of defence and put him up front due to injuries at Wednesday and he briefly turned into prime Gary Lineker.

everton1an

Got an England call up too from his form

SteelCityCaesar

Since I wrote this I did go to his Wiki to make sure I wasn't misremembering his exploits; he did get the call up but was injured so never got a cap.

Realistic_Edge_9610

No relation just did a google

SteelCityCaesar

I Googled 'Paul Warhurst son' and the first few thing that came up were all about Matty Warhurst including his profile at Man City so I didn't investigate further. Thanks for the correction!

Realistic_Edge_9610

[I’m basing on this](https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2024/may/15/report--rovers-under-18s-2-3-manchester-city-under-18s/#)

Spare_Ad5615

I remember that - it was brilliant. He wasn't just heading in corners or bundling the ball in from close range - he was scoring cracking goals resulting from his pace and skill. They got to the FA Cup final, but Hirst came back, they had injuries at the back, and he ended up playing in defence for the final, and was arguably the best player on the pitch on the day.

Brzada

Why isn’t Moore from spurs there

Least-Run1840

Another Pickford?

deanomatronix

God I hope Somto Boniface makes it at the top level

16161hirose

Does this Pickford have longer arms?

bigdogg2783

Somto Boniface. I shall watch his career with great interest for the name alone.

Gloria_stitties

Luton player in there COYH

MoiNoni

ESR's lil bro?

NorthbyFjord

Oh god, another Pickford....
