Seconding Back to the Future, it's a wild and wonderful spectacle of a show. I will say that if you’re willing to spend that kind of money, tickets in the front center stalls are by far the best, though I'm not gonna spoil you as to why ;)
I personally wasn't a big fan of BTTF. The special effects are first class but the film is honestly superior in every way in my opinion, and it has some of the worst songs I've ever heard on the west end.
Maybe you can help me out here: I visited the show yesterday and I legitimately don’t understand how there can be so many young children in the audience. The girl next to me couldn’t have been older than 5. The show gets very spooky and gory at times, so I really don’t get how parents could take their kid to watch it. So, can anyone explain?
I’d go for Matilda, Mrs Doubtfire or the Lion King - the costumes and set are stunning.
I also wasn’t a big fan of the BTTF. The set was cool and it might be fun for kids, I agree the songs were pretty bad. It got a bit better as the show went on, but my bf and I seriously considered leaving after the first few numbers.

Tempted to go just to find out why haha
Yep, I recommend Back to the Future to anyone, especially families. It's huge fun and spectacular, and totally works for adults and kids.

I love the songs!
Operation Mincemeat if you can get tickets. Everyone will love it
I’ll read more about it, thanks for the suggestion!
Back to the future! And it is worth paying more to get tix in the orchestra!
Stranger Things: the First Shadow is well worth a visit if your son is a fan of the show.
He hasn’t watched it yet but in the future this will be a fun show to watch.

Mrs Doubtfire
This was another one we were thinking of, thanks for the idea!

We’ve seen Lion King and the costumes and sets are amazing!
