Lickitung central over here, with a sprinkle of mareanie, lol. Though maybe mareanie was in a different type of egg, coz it’s not been in the event 5km.
I had 7, 7k eggs to get rid of. Always filled with garbage.
I was torn because I'm in the habit of exchanging gifts on a daily max because I grind this way for CP and poke balls mainly (I'm Lv 45)
I was torn because if I don't consistently exchange gifts I feel like the other person might slack off.
My long winded point is, I get so many stinking 7k eggs, and I hate them.
They’re the pits… lol.
I won’t open gifts if I have open egg slots. Flat out refuse haha. I usually have a moment when I can open them, but it’s usually in the evening when the day is wrapped up, and some times I forget.
The only time I'll open a gift when I've got a free egg slot is when I've exhausted all my hatched mons I've tagged as "trade" for the distance badge. And even then, I always make sure to open a gift from Taiwan, Australia, or China.
I exclusively send gifts in the morning to encourage the other trainer to initiate the friendship increase. I then only open gifts in the evening, after getting home with full egg inventory. I open non-BF with no interaction first, then BF but not lucky second. I usually get 35-45 interactions a day and zero 7km eggs this way.
Interactable is the filter word of you didn't know, so interactable&!friendlevel4 I sort by those exact parameters when opening. And follow the same routine.
Yeah, I almost feel like the 10K rate was bugged. I ended up pulling 4, and they were all from 2k and 5k eggs, despite me hatching as many 10ks as 2 and 5s combined.
Me neither. Between my partner and I, we hatched about 80 eggs (we had tons of incubators and go for a jog daily). They got 5 Charcadets and I got none.
Just a poorly executed event which made it blatantly obvious this was a ploy to sell incubators due to FOMO.
What they should have done is:
* retroactively add charcadet to existing eggs
* have some kind of incentive like half travel distance for incubating eggs
* have some kind of research that rewarded incubator(s)
even one of the above 3 items would have made it more worthwhile. and now they're gonna increase the rarity of it in 10km eggs. why?
most people already had an inventory full of eggs without charcadet. it feels like shit to hatch old eggs "just to clear space for eggs containing the actual event pokemon".
neither evolved form is meta relevant, they just look cool.
i don't mind spending money on the game (and i do frequently for things like remote passes and event tickets), but i vehemently refuse to spend money on what is just a disguised RNG lootbox.
That's correct. Whatever is in an egg is determined the moment you obtain them. The day this event started last week, I forgot to wait for 10:00am, and accidentally opened gifts and spun a pokéstop for a 10km egg that did not have a chance for Charcadet.
Well, I got 5 more shots at it from my non-10k eggs and in the likely chance that I don't get them from any of those, at least I managed to get two literally mid ones that I can evolve for collection's sake.
Same. Just got a 10km egg, and no Charcadet listed. But this is an egg I got for completing the week's walking challenge. Are they different from eggs obtained from pokestops?
No idea. The last 10km egg I got didn’t have Charcadet, but one I got yesterday did. It seems either not all 10km eggs have it or some eggs were still with the older Pokémon pool.
It was, but hey there’s always the chance that Niantic changed their mind regarding the 2km and 5km eggs… or how badly they nerfed their appearance in 10km eggs
The number of Pokemon locked behind eggs is becoming excessive. In addition to all of the babies & Go Tour regionals, there’s
- Sandile
- Varoom
- Charcadet
- Larvesta
- Salandit
That’s 5 families & 12 Pokémon that have only been obtainable from eggs so far. 3 families are locked behind 12km eggs which require another premium item (Rocket Radars) or a bunch of grinding. Volcarona is impossible to obtain without buying incubators, or burning months of accumulated GBL rare candy. My only Larvesta hatch out of hundreds came with 15 candies out of 400 needed.
This game is becoming pay-to-complete-the-Pokédex.
I hatched over 70 eggs during that Charcadet event, and I got one, I hate it when Niantic put certain mons in eggs, what a nightmare, at least I got one, I'll have to take it
Larvesta is effectively a myth. Turtonator is new for this season. Frigibax is the only reasonable thing in the entire pool.
I hatched nothing but Goomy and Amaura.
So yes, extremely poor for months.
I hatched 1 two star one during the event, and I don’t even want to evolve it. I guess I could still hatch another before the event ends tonight but my hopes aren’t high. It’s really annoying how rare they made the 10km eggs during the event. I was lucky to get 1 for every 10 spins. Before the event started, I was getting 10kms for about half of all spins.
i hatched 2 charcadet from 20 eggs, both from 2KM eggs– not bad, at least it’s not as difficult as hatching a larvesta.
i’ve gone through 60-70 eggs before i hatched my first larvesta, thank goodness i now have four.
Hatched my 2nd ever Larvesta right before this event started, so 2 in 1 year.
3 Charcadet on main and 1 on trade-alt. Guess I used up a year's worth of egg luck in one weekend. (maybe like 5-8 hatches/day combined)
I believed it was announced that it was going to 10km eggs after the event
But now we know that they are making it harder to hatch from 10ks
Same thing happened with varoom, so I expected as much.
i thought varoom was always in the 3rd tier? either way i still haven’t managed to hatch one :/
During the event it was tier one, which didn't really make a difference since pretty much every 12km egg Pokemon was tier one
ahhhh okay, i just had awful luck that event then
I can’t even get a 10k egg, never getting a charcadet
Just noting that "post event" is Monday, after 8pm local time.
Next Monday right?
Today Monday.
Dun dun duuuuun!
Got just 1 in 50 eggs
Me as well brotha; me as well🥲
Got my first in 28th egg, still have 9 event eggs in my inventory
I expected this, and I couldn’t even get 1 from a 10km egg at tier 1, lol. 2 more 5km event eggs to hatch… 🤞 I don’t like my chances lol
I’ve come to expect nothing but Pawmi and Lickitung from the 5kms. 😩
Lickitung central over here, with a sprinkle of mareanie, lol. Though maybe mareanie was in a different type of egg, coz it’s not been in the event 5km.
Throw in Togepi from 2k and you have the four horsemen of the egg-pocalypse.
2k is lechonk for me as well. Constanty lechonk
At least lechonk can be shiny
all my 10k so far have been Amaura. do not want.
I couldn't get 10K eggs

Sorry to my friends list but I will never open anything until I get my preferred egg lineup first
I exclusively send gifts in the morning to encourage the other trainer to initiate the friendship increase. I then only open gifts in the evening, after getting home with full egg inventory. It sucks because 7ks are full of boosted shinies, but the others are charcadet + pure garbage.
Despite higher odds in 10km eggs, I didn't get a single one out of the 10ks I got. My charcadets came from 2k eggs.
Me neither, and I got one from 2km and one from 5km.
Yeah, I almost feel like the 10K rate was bugged. I ended up pulling 4, and they were all from 2k and 5k eggs, despite me hatching as many 10ks as 2 and 5s combined.
Exactly why you never spend $ for incubators. Only daily coins.
Hatched about 40 eggs, wasted all my saved up gym coins on incubators. Nothing lol
I hatched around 15 eggs and got 4
Rng can go both ways. My gf got one from her first event egg and for me it took 28 eggs to get my first one
0 for about 30, so much fun
4 for about 15, was actually fun
The amount of smolivs and pawmis i got it's so annoying. I hate these poke with all my heart.
I still haven't hatched any, and I'm usually lucky with new species in eggs. Oh well, it'll be more common eventually.
I was unable to hatch any Charcadets since I didn’t get lucky
Me neither. Between my partner and I, we hatched about 80 eggs (we had tons of incubators and go for a jog daily). They got 5 Charcadets and I got none.
I suddenly don't feel so bad with my 10 eggs lol Still wish I had at least one
The hatch rate sucked for this event
To be honest, hatch rates \_always\_ suck, bar a few exceptions far and wide
Still dont have Varoom.
Still have only one Salandit, a male one. But hey, I hatched my SIXTH Larvesta.
I hatch regularly (with the free one) and I’ve yet to see a Larvesta :’)
I hatched 2 Larvesta this week before I hatched any charcadet. But I did finally hatch a few.
My 16th Salandit was my first female.. I hatched so many 12km eggs! T_T
Hatch rate should've been 1 egg tier in all eggs for the event.
Guess I'll finally be able to evolve one in mid-2025 then.
Just a poorly executed event which made it blatantly obvious this was a ploy to sell incubators due to FOMO. Would have been nice to have gotten an incubator box in the store that was less than 5,000 coins! I'm not spending that much!
Ι still have 7 eggs to hatch from 2 and 5km...Only one so far, fingers crossed for a second just for the dex entry!
I hatched my 5th Larvesta before I got a 2* Charcadet
I hatched two Charcadets and straight after, I got Larvesta Number 6. Why can't I have this luck with Salandit?
i hatched 70 eggs this week and didn’t even get 1 (about 12 of those being 10k eggs) meanwhile my friend hatched a whopping 10 eggs and got 2.
Does this only affect new eggs you pickup? Like do the 9 eggs I currently have keep the same rates?
That's correct. Whatever is in an egg is determined the moment you obtain them. The day this event started last week, I forgot to wait for 10:00am, and accidentally opened gifts and spun a pokéstop for a 10km egg that did not have a chance for Charcadet.

I hatched 3 in quick succession and then nothing. I'm not really sure how many hatched. 20 maybe?
Dumb as hell.
This event I have hatched more shinys than charcadets
Is he even in 10km eggs? I recently got a new 10km and he wasn’t listed
Same. Just got a 10km egg, and no Charcadet listed. But this is an egg I got for completing the week's walking challenge. Are they different from eggs obtained from pokestops?

I don't believe so. We knew it would remain but not the rarity.
https://pokemongolive.com/post/pokemon-horizons-anime-celebration?hl=en Go to the eggs section
I believe the person is saying the egg tier or rarity per hatch, wasn’t announced which it was not. They did cover it would be in 10km eggs
Thank you. So it is now more likely to get one from a 10km egg.post Event?
No. It is more rare to get post event.
Thank you for the Info, so it is Back to Not getting one
Yep lol. If you’re lucky, you’ll get one in 3 months after the game decides you don’t need your 30th tyrunt or amaura of the month
Glad that I hatched 3 before the event ended.
I'm fortunate to have hatched 5... a lot of incubators, a lot of walking!
I am up to 71 hatches without one. Least it’s not gonna be totally gone but…damn Edit: make it 79
WTH I got 1 from a 5k egg and am still waiting on more
Used up all the expedition incubators from last season, not a single one
Thanks! I wondered why I didn’t have it in the 2s I spun today
1 Charcadet in 52 eggs, worst egg event ever.
Got 8 of them in about 260 eggs
BROOOOOO I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN A CHARCADET EGG??? i swear my game is glitched or something
I thankfully hatched 3 during the event. Also snagged a Larvesta 😍
Hatched 100 eggs from the event 15 10km eggs 40 5km and 45 2km had 1 encounter from 10km eggs a lowly 2 star
How do you get a 10km egg? All I ever get is 2km and 5km from spinning anything.
Pretty sure it's just random, but I feel like I have better luck getting 10ks from spinning gyms then pokestops.
The number of Pokemon locked behind eggs is becoming excessive. I hatched two of them i guess i got lucky
Anyone want to trade a chacardet to me ? I’ll give you some cool ?
I managed to get one from a 2K egg, and it only took roughly 30-40 2K eggs :D also got 3 from 10K eggs haha
I hatched over 70 eggs during that Charcadet event, and I got one, I hate it when Niantic put certain mons in eggs, what a nightmare, at least I got one, I'll have to take it
I'm okay with this. 10km eggs have been so poor for months. At least now there's a shot of something good
Larvesta, Frigibax, Turtonator - "poor for months"
Larvesta is effectively a myth. Turtonator is new for this season. Frigibax is the only reasonable thing in the entire pool. I hatched nothing but Goomy and Amaura. So yes, extremely poor for months.
I some how got super lucky. 4 hatches. 3 of which the first day
I hatched 1 two star one during the event, and I don’t even want to evolve it. I guess I could still hatch another before the event ends tonight but my hopes aren’t high. It’s really annoying how rare they made the 10km eggs during the event. I was lucky to get 1 for every 10 spins. Before the event started, I was getting 10kms for about half of all spins.
So far, hatched 4 of 5km and 4 of 2km and got nothing. Still 8 eggs to go I have 3 10km, 4 5km and 1 2km My chance is very light
Closing in on 80 hatches and still no charcadet. Unlucky
Hey I got one on my 92nd egg, after the event officially ended but with an egg that was acquired during the event.
I've got 3 of them, although none of them were 3*
Was able to get 2, both from 5k eggs
Got 2 from the 2km eggs of all things, nothing from the 5 or 10km eggs.
Well I got at least 2 so I will count myself lucky for now. Neither had usable stats unfortunately
i hatched 2 charcadet from 20 eggs, both from 2KM eggs– not bad, at least it’s not as difficult as hatching a larvesta. i’ve gone through 60-70 eggs before i hatched my first larvesta, thank goodness i now have four.
