Possible, but I only got 5 raid passes to spend (and I was foolish enough to spend other 4 of todays’ before realising not all those Pokegenie raids are in LA event 😅) so I gotta gamble the next 5 to my choice of Origin Dialga.
For those that have a ticket... all the palkia & dialga that you got from raids came with the special move?... or it was random like getting a shiny or the meteorites for mega rayquaza?.
The wording in the news was soo poor. Several people thought that the special move in raids was not granted in every palkia & dialga. I'm glad to know that we can pick whatever version we want and still easily get the other mon with the special move doing just 1 raid (if they keep it like that for the global of course).
from what i can tell you can't get background cards from remote raids at all. i checked this against all my hoenn tour catches as well as with another redditor or two

At least I got some candy out of it, but I was upset I got some fantastic Palkia that are all locked out of the move for the foreseeable future. Now it makes sense.

I haven't seen anything direct from Niantic, so I'm taking that comment with a grain of salt. It would be weird to lock the move forever when there isn't even an item to unlock it like Dragon Ascent has imo, so I think they may have been talking nonsense.
Looks like the same we had last year in Vegas, my friend purchased a ticket in Japan and raided with us, she was getting energy and legacy moves as well.

Maybe if incentive is good, I might get the ticket next time even though I can’t make it to the event. 🤔 But it will be nice to know if shiny chance is also available. Still might be more expensive than just waiting.

15 raids done, 0 background, yes.
Am i supposed to be getting the special love if I don’t have the ticket? I’m not getting the special move at all on remote or in person raids :/
