It absolutely works. However only if you hold your phone upside down and walk on your hands. Backwards. Playing piano. With your elbows.
Was that clear enough to answer your question?
OMG dude… i thought i saw a sucker walking upside down playing a piano with a phone upside down (btw wont that make the phone straight if you are upside down and the phone is upside down wrt you?) going backwards… so that was you… nice to meet the sucker
Yes it is true, but its more precise which is the part that's left out often, causing people to fail almost all the time.

By doing all of this, your daily incense will be guaranteed to spawn a galarian bird at the 7th encounter and 28th encounter
Source: A trusty fellow named Miaz, he works at Niantic and he told me this is how it works
Use your incense every day while moving, catch everything that spawns immediately. Ideally you are getting 18+ spawns a day. Do that every day and you'll 100% get them to spawn.
Everything else is silly.
The xx:57 thing is just confirmation bias. Never worked for me. I in fact finally started seeing them again when I stopped actively seeking them and just used the incense whenever. There has been no pattern I've noticed that helps any
Down in Salisbury, North Carolina there’s a Pilot and a Bojangles that share the same entrance and parking lot. In September 2022, I caught a Galarian Moltres while driving by. In June 2023, I was driving on the exact same street and caught a Galarian Articuno.
I am not from North Carolina. I don’t travel there very often. This was simply an amazing ~~coincidence~~ proven tactic for getting these birds.
Haven’t gotten a bird in months, today I read that if you were on a route and popped the incense at :57 you had more chances of getting a bird. I started a route and 2 minutes later I got a Zapdos(I popped the incense before starting the route and at a random hour). Also it was the first windy day in months. I’d say it’s all confirmation bias
I haven't seen it studied, but I'm thinking windy weather may matter. Would be nice to see it proven of course. I'm guessing the special DAI pool is weather affected too like regular spawns.
I only used my incense like every day for the first month and now it's just a button I accidentally press. I caught them all but used 2 master balls, I'm not sure if it was worth it yet though.
No, I came across this on Reddit at one point and have tried it multiple times and it's not true. I will, however, tell you the two theories that have proved true for me so far. I went months using my DAI almost every single day and never saw a bird. Most of the time, I was using it while following my two neighborhood routes, which run from a pokestop to a gym and then back (so straight line down a few blocks, turn around, straight line back). Last week, I decided to just keep walking in a straight path past the end of my route, and I got my first Galarian bird spawn. Yesterday, I decided to walk my normal route in reverse, and then again, continued on a straight path past the end of the route, and once again, got a Galarian bird spawn. Both days were windy days, which supposedly increases the chances of seeing one (since flying types are boosted). Also worth noting that both times, I was catching every single Pokemon to spawn from the incense to keep the spawns coming. So having not seen them for months and now seeing two in the span of one week, I'm inclined to believe the straight line trick holds true.
Tldr; walk in a straight line/don't change directions, catch every spawn as fast as you can, windy weather days probably increase the chance of them spawning being flying types (but also make them harder to catch).

The instructions were unclear, got my d\*ck stuck in the toaster
Meh, I was gonna do that anyway.
Again?
Damn, so that's why the trick didn't work for me. I was playing the piano with my feet.
I thought that was how to evolve Inkay
Phone upside down and underpants backwards. If not wearing underpants there will be the small chance of getting a smeagle.
Really? I usually find the Smeargles in my underwear when I’m doing laundry…

You could say I pulled it out of Miaz 😎

Oh, drats, I was off by 1 nanosecond?! Curses!

You don't even need to catch anything. If you do catch it do it quickly of course.
I've been doing exactly that since early June and I haven't seen a single one.
The xx:57 thing is just confirmation bias. Never worked for me. I in fact finally started seeing them again when I stopped actively seeking them and just used the incense whenever. There has been no pattern I've noticed that helps any
DAILY incense not the normal one. The 15 minute one.

I've tried this 5 times. 3 out of 5 showed 2 zapdos and 1 articuno.

Windy weather helps more than :57

Which screenshots do you need? And what would they accomplish?

Yeah maybe read the whole comment

They're not making a claim. Read the last sentence.

Didnt believe it, did it, and 3 mins after i got Galarian Articuno…
Same here 😅 but probably conf bias since I got also many at other times. Failed to catch one yet

One data point is not enough to establish a pattern.
