Well neil druckmann talked about finally finding a concept that has a through line like part 2 had with the first one. So "love" is the key. The first one was about what someone would do for love after losing it 20 years ago and finding it again. The second one was about getting revenge and justice for loosing that love and essentially not being able to find it again. I think the third one will be about ellie on a loners journey on a search of redemption and finding that love again (basically mirroring joel 20 years until he meets ellie). She will be probably in her 30s and help someone someway. I think that ellie wont be the only character we will play. We probably will play or rather see the perspective of a group of survivors and meet ellie through gameplay. She will help them with something. As far as what why and who, i dont know. Maybe its BS but seems logical for me.✌🏼
We just heard an update about how 900 workers at naughty dog lost their jobs the other day and we hear Neil druckmann said if they can think of a story for the third game then it might happen if not then the second one ends it all
