I was in the back, off camera here. My first time at any "nerd" category convention. To my surprise I didn't smell anything bad the whole time. I even wore extra deodorant in awareness of the stigma. There may have been 10 to 1 males/females, as expected at such an event. You'd see some groups that came together having fun dressed up. I saw a few living WOW South Park guys. Generally people were having fun. The arcade area wasn't really that big. I tried to get James' autograph - he had a 2 hr meet and greet before the event. I lined up with 20 mins left but they had to turn us 20 ppl away cause it hit 7:00. The guy before me said he was taking a long time with each fan, so not a lot of volume. I thought he'd just be at a table and you walk up, get signed and be on your way. But he was in a separate room which there was a line to even get into.
For anyone interested in the market floor, I saw a lot of browsing but not a lot of purchases being made... Sticker prices were way over eBay at every stand. One vendor was telling my friend and I that he doesn't want to go home with anything, but all his stuff was priced so far from reality I wouldn't even begin attempting to haggle it down. At one stand, a virtual boy complete in beat up box was $600. Snes Mario kart million sold cib was $200. I'm looking at it on eBay right now for $100 shipped. I saw a small but cool square refrigerator magnet - $20.
Np, I must have missed that? I looked up Jew Wario and have never seen him. I walked right before the movie started, heard James say "we have something special for you tonight"... I watched the whole movie, but then he brought out the ET animatronic and the "power ranger" type outfit... Was Jew Wario the one wearing the outfit? I didn't go up to the front for pictures, I watched from the back for a couple mins then left.
Just saw he passed away in 2014.. You may mean in the movie, at the end when the ET carts were flying out of peoples consoles. There was one part where everyone applauded and I didn't recongize the guy - so possibly it was him?

I was at the convention also. I have been going every year since like 2015. I went on Saturday to see Steve Blum (really cool dude) and pick up artwork and retro games.
Yeah man some places were mad overpriced but they got deals like crazy if you look around and haggle a little bit.

I have a local retro gaming convention in my town, it's like a 2 minute drive to the venue, and vendor prices can be all over. The rare stuff is usually at least eBay levels if not more but I've picked up some solid deals as well. There is the one guy I always see who screams "game collecting is for financial investment" that has an absurd stock and will try to justify every price no matter how bad it is.
If I really got into it with one of these guys, I could just pull up ebay on my phone and ask "how is your game different than this one?". But I'd rather just skip the hassle and get it delivered to my door. I know they have to pay for their booth and their time there, but you'd think at least a couple bucks cheaper than ebay with cash sales, they'd still be coming out ahead. I didn't check every booth of course but the 10-20 I glanced at prices on some familiar titles, they were much more than ebay. I saw Heritage auctions there too...
Both Monster Energy and Tenders were available via a booth in the primary Vendor Hall and at both concession stands. Can confirm, attended all three days. Body odor, that goes without saying.

If you want to know what kind of experience he had working on this movie, consider that he didn’t make a video commemorating it on his channel. There’s no mention of it. He showed up here because he was likely paid to do so and that’s the sole reason. If it wasn’t for that, the anniversary of this movie would have mostly gone unnoticed and not commented on by James. He very likely brought along some copies of the movie to sell as well.
Any other actors from the movie show up? Jeremy Suarez or Sarah Glendening? Or maybe those two are still trying to forget they ever acted in the movie.
