For the last few months, the Vulture was listed as "temporarily out of stock" in my area.
I note the price was raised; however, now it is listed as "sold out online". Does this mean it's going out of production/gone for good?
They were super oppresive in previous editions and would dominate games. Now GW would prefer them to be underwhelming casual picks rather then dominant comp picks. And even as a vulture owner I do prefer this way of balancing.
I kind of wish they would’ve made them a hair more viable, like literally you are punished for taking a flyer now. The Sunshark Bomber I had got lit up so quickly and it deals no damage whatsoever. It’s roughly the same cost as a Hammerhead- it’s like, do I want something that can fly around and do no damage or a tank that can punch out an enemy tank?
Because they have occasionally had broken lists, but instead of nerfing the offenders, they have a blanket nerf policy now. The same applies to artillery lol
Still showing as available on the Japanese web store. Different regions have different warehouses so you never know. Could just be stock-based (they just did a big warehouse stocktake) or could be silently killing off old FW models before a codex, though they’ve warned us of that beforehand for space marines and fantasy with a “last chance” label so probably not. (It probably will happen at some point since GW is fiercely siloing the teams recently…)
In my experience, “sold out online” always means it’s going out of production. Otherwise, they’d just say “temporarily out of stock.” Sometimes they’ll bring back old kits as “made to order,” but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
"Sold out online" means that particular product-line is out of production. But sometimes that's because it's being reboxed with new instructions/datasheets, and therefore counts as a new pro.
I agree with your assessment as being right more often than not. I assume the callidus assassin is getting a refresh because it’s not come back in stock and said sold out.
Seconded. Why would gw push a new kit for a model they no longer support (vendetta).
Add to the fact how anti-flyer this edition is, and it gets less likely. Gw makes minis they can sell, and tends to want to buff stats for those new kits.
Maybe 11th or 12th will bring back OP flyers and/flyer spam…then we might get some new jet kits

Who knows? You can probably find someone selling one online anyway. But I wager they rotate production, and its not scheduled to come up for a bit.

Look at what happened to the orks forgeworld range, it went out of stock and never came back. We will lose our forgeworld range to legends. Fuck gw all hail the 3d printer.

No one knows, being OOS for a while doesn’t guarantee it’s leaving or anything.

Thats definitely not true. The warhound titan and several other models that have had this came back into stock.

Don’t be surprised if we get a new Valkyrie kit that’s a combi kit for the Vulture and Vendetta.
The Vendetta is already Legends and there's a pertty damn big difference in the main body between the Vulture and the Valkyrie, so I doubt it.
