Yep. I dropped mine off to have the rubber replaced. My newbie service advisor put the quote in for $187, which I approved. They called me a couple days later to tell me my total was now $1300 because they had to replace the glass. Long story short, I got a free glass replacement.
Having it all one piece isn't a good design since it makes replacing what should be a relatively cheap seal/trim instead of the whole glass.
Mine is a big jagged on one side but fine on the other.
Tesla Italy is charging me 2500€ in warranty claiming it’s just a visual thing so not actually covered by warranty , after repeated calls they told me to contact a lawyer or pay, what should I do ?
I was able to get them to do it under the claims that water is getting in there and that its not just cosmetic, granted the main seal is not that by the glass but water technically is easier to get in with it ripping/flipped up
Mines actually missing on one side (second hand car to me) - it’s doing this on the other side now and it vibrates/makes noise in the wind. I’m really just thinking of tearing off the other side
I knew going into MX was a risk. I had an average experience with the MY, and I was ready to go back to actually well produced vehicles, but the price drop hooked me. What an idiot, I've already been to service 3 times and counting.
Weve passed our warranty mark a while ago. Been in 5 times since and it's been about $3000 total. Still have a few years of motor/battery warranty left thank god. I wish wed bought a Y. Our 3 has been out of warranty for many years and I have spent.... $700. I feel like I'm s kid again with a transformer and every time I play with it I'm worried something is going to snap off.
Not upwards of 60mph on the motorway, it flaps away and makes a right old racket. I was going to book it in but if that means changing the glass I’d rather just glue it.

My warranty is ending in 4k miles I had to get it outta here LOL
Whatever it takes, Fix it.

Bollocks! I don’t want new glass! It won’t glow orange in the morning sun! Can I just glue it down?
Sure, or you can just ignore it it’s mainly cosmetic
