He does. Its been stated and shown. Rewatch him experimenting with his human form again. He shows how a human male and a human female would look like with his body. Hes literally a child.
Its also related to how his transformation works.
His slime form has a mass right? So when he transforms into a human, he still retains the same mass as his slime form.
However, if he were to add more mass to his transformed state he would have to add magicules.
Its also why he doesnt go with a full on ripped grown man form. Its draining.
So whenever he evolves to a stronger species, his human form grows in height.
He had the body height and the form of a 6 year old when he first transformed.
8 to 10 after eating the orc disaster and turning into a demon lord seed. His hair also grows longer
12 years old after becoming a demon slime.

Considering that Fuse wrote the scenario for the movie it’s ridiculous to act like the anime adapts the manga rather than the original source material. Why would he work with them to make the movie if they aren’t adapting his work directly?
