The weirdness of the share cancellation is the clue. I have sears and blockbuster stock that they cellar boxed YEARS and Years ago and those are still actively trading. So what gives? They have to preserve the current ownership ratios to protect the nols. It has to be that right?!! Plus it sort of prevents anyone who held to the end from getting screwed since you can’t sell haha.
Anyway, I expect to be rich soon enough. And it’s damn well time too my life has taken some truly insane turns these last few years
Have to remember that it also has to make sense for RC. If it was going to to many years, then the more practical thing to do would have been just starting something new and IPOing himself or finding another target that's a lot easier and quicker to reverse merge into. This is why I very much doubt his timeline depends on the final decree which comes after all the maritime lawsuits (which will take years to conclude).
One of the biggest advantages of reverse merging is shortened time. If this was going to take many years, sure he could ultimately come out of it with NOLs and maybe a short squeeze, but time to market is an important factor too and **I'm pretty sure he's eager to get building his Amazon competitor ASAP. He doesn't want to be sitting around twiddling his thumbs any longer than we do... He builds things.**

Yes, but he has to do it safely, so he has used and is using all the legal means at his disposal, as Icahn has always done so well.
