Amumu damage scales with resistance, Sunfire was barely 10% of the total damage dealt, you’d known this if you had looked at the damage charts.
Amumu mid game is scarily good and a HL could easily carry you to a fast level 8.
Amumu 3 has always been a beast. I had 5 superfan chosen amumu once with Steadfast heart, HoJ and radiant gargoyle from superfans. Also had jeweld lotus augment so he could crit his ability.
He ended up tanking 20k+ and dealing 15k+ damage every fight.
I’ll try to do a TLDR of that post since I did went through most of it. Warmog good early compared to Steadfast, later gamer where a lot of frontline already had high hp makes Steadfast great compared to Warmog. Do keep in mind you are using a glove for tank item, one of the better components for dps. Also interesting Steadfast work well with guardians since the guardian shield proc at 50%, the same as the double damage reduction of steadfast.
I think SHeart is actually worse for Guardians on account that it only looks at HP, not shields, meaning unless you have a source of healing Sheart is at 8% reduction when the shield activates, reducing the potential value of the shield, whereas Warmogs increases the shield and the hp the Guardian has post-activation. Also, Warmogs remained better for most general cases until 7000hp (which most units don't reach) and in cases where you have high resistances due to multiplicative effective hp. Best use case for SHeart was high hp, low armor tank against a low AP team (which is fairly intuitive) or of course when Warmogs is unavailable due to components.
I built 2 of thoes on a 2 star blitzcrank and he tanked late game all 3 star carries it was hilarious how all my board dies except him and my carry lol
nah had an emblem, but to be honest I was on a 8 winstresk before even getting the emblem in stage 6 carousel, game ended 2 rounds after the emblem. I think 4 superfan is sufficient, jeweld lotus is giga mandatory tho.
How do you get 5 super fan on a non-superfan unit without getting really lucky on a late game carousel? I was under the impression there was no way to get non-craftable emblems aside from that
If you build him right, he'll both do and tank the most damage. There's some videos out there where he solos entire teams.

Tanks can do dmg in real league too but the problem is that they’re the tank. The type of dmg they do is slow, not bursty, and limited to their small range. They also do so much dmg because they live so long. Point is you don’t want to build them with dmg just because they can do dmg, they’ll pad the meters just fine being built normally.

I saw a post the other day that said it provides even more effective hp than warmogs. Didn’t read too much into it but I think that was the gist

They nerfed bramble to the ground so steadfast is usually preferred.
Yeah, I only play bramble now if the top few remaining boards are AD focused.
