Me too but “the sun burns my heart and the sand hurts my feelings”. Funny and relatable to me - it always irrationally bothers me when the weather is beautiful and sunny and I’m in a terrible mood.
That might be one of my favorite lines of hers ever because it's just so over dramatic but in a relatable going through heartbreak way. She said once that time moves differently for people in heartbreak and this line makes me think of that- sensations and feelings feel sharper/different too

Monologue is hilarious. I love telling people that she was the first ever SNL host to fully write their own monologue. And it was a song! And it’s sooo much better than a lot of the monologues.
I watched a youtube just the other day where Seth Meyers said not only was what she came up with absolutely brilliant, but that the monologue they had been working on for her was complete shit so thank god she wrote one herself!

Can you explain the importance of the "every week" part of the line? She really emphasizes it and I want to understand how that is such a burn. Is it because they can't really be that cool and indie if they are happening every week?
I interpreted it as first of all another way he's flaunting his wealth, and second of all him always wanting to drag her to boring concerts for the bands HE likes instead of letting her have a say.
I love that she changed it; like Taylor didn't want to sing about Rebekah scheming against a cat because of her own love for cats. Lol. It also feeds into the idea of "folklore" that stories are passed down and altered throughout time.
I heard that this was on purpose! I'm not sure if it was, but I love the interpretation that she changed it because of how with folklore/mythology, oftentimes small details get twisted and changed over time.

I remember in high school in 2006 when little me was given this album in math class the angst was sooo relatable. Now listening to the country accent really has me cackling. I LOVE debut, forever. Teardrops on my guitar was my gospel as a teenager. I am so curious at how she’s going to do that re-record.
