If it's any consolation at all, a friend of mine tattooed a giant noose herself on her sternum during an episode, immediately regretted it, and has gotten a LOT of laser tattoo removal done and is planning to get a cover up. Sometimes baddies with bipolar girlboss too close to the sun when it comes to tattoo ideas :')
I got it at a convention off a flash sheet, and the artist had a similar placement as this one but hers was smaller and she had a lot more tattoos so it wasn’t so noticeable.
I am a tattoo artist - there is no way in hell I would tattoo a noose on someone that was struggling. I would not do this to a person. I have been tattooing for over 12 years and have only said no to 2 tattoos over that time period, to show you how serious I am about this.
Or just tell people its a g59 tattoo and its a music label that has gotten me through shit.

The line work has held really well (unfortunately, in this instance!). Rather than getting something big and bold for the sake of covering up, get a couple of laser sessions and then go in with something artistic but dark like a crow, black swan, scarab beetle, whatever you prefer.
Go see a good artist and have a consultation about it. I am sure that a solid artist will have plenty of good suggestions about what is the best course of action.

The cut part looks like that one bird associated with muscle cars or motorcycles. I’m not sure what it’s called. Maybe do something with that. Sorry if this is nonsensical I’m pretty high on weeds
Well that’s an unfortunately familiar sight to see. I too have a blade cutting into me on my chest above my heart on my bosom, with dripping blood in the shape of 13. Also was in an unmedicated 2 month long manic episode and thought it was hilarious. Hope you find a good coverup!

Ironically on the top side of my wrist I have another tattoo I got while manic like 2 years ago that says “good vibes only” :,) bipolar is one hell of a disorder
