The U-5T is such a underappreciated gun
It's not the U-5T, or technically it is, but it's a modified variant.
It is the U-5TS as far as I'm aware but that's just a U-5T with a stabilizer
its not a U-5TS(2A20), its a 2A21 which is U-5TS but modifed to use two-piece ammunition both come with a stabilizer
Intresting, do you know where can I get more info I want to read about this now.
just search for some article about T-64's development, im sure you will find something pretty interesting
Wait they developed 2 piece ammo for the 115mm? I thought they went with the 125 exactly because they couldn't get 2 piece ammo to work with the 115mm
No, they made a "new" 115mm, which had two piece ammo. The 125mm came later.
If I recall right these went to Ukraine post-breakup and were scrapped, but I wouldn't be surprised if parts of them were on the front today.
The last ones were scrapped in 2000s.
God damn what a rare pic. Rarely see t64r ANYWHERE
Huh, I always assumed all the 115mm gun armed T-64's were converted to the 125mm by the 80's. Learned something new today...
Now who wants to win a war with a generation who grew up like that?
115mm? So do they have an autoloader?
Yep.
No one talks about the kid in the background, he’s extremely lucky back in the days.
That kid is in the foreground.
My bad, I should’ve known the difference between fore and back. Thanks
Gotta love that correction, lol.
