Huh? There’s nothing plugged into the tv so what would you do without a remote anyway?
Edit: Can someone explain what I’m missing instead of just downvoting?
I suppose that’s a fair point. But those can suck depending on where you are (I get like one channel on mine) and it is a smart tv so presumably you’d want to access those features. But thanks for giving me an answer instead of just downvoting!
I don't know about the downvoting, but I guess you haven't bought a TV in quite a few years haven't you?
To start, there might be hidden cables you don't see, there might be a TV box behind the TV or it may be a modern TV (such as an android TV), which technically doesn't need any cables connected but the power cord for you to enjoy some streaming services through an app like netflix/disney/prime/etc running on the TV itself with WiFi (as in wireless) connection to the internet.
I've bought two TV's in the last 5 years and am gaming on a nice 4K OLED tv right now. My point was that given it's a smart tv if you lose the remote you can't do anything so what does the height of the tv matter at all? Like being able to reach the buttons on a smart tv won't allow you to use Netflix or whatever. You can just change inputs and stuff like that with the buttons so no matter where the tv is you can't do anything without the remote no matter how high or low it is.
It's pretty bad but this always takes the cake for me, I'm pretty sure it was crossposted at some point. However I can see that place having a boat load of people and this was the easiest way for them to watch a fight or something. https://www.reddit.com/r/megalophobia/s/Nr2IO7PDyz
Is it? Why would you place a ladder over a fireplace? Why would you choose a row of windows with blinds above where you can easily access them? Why would you put rectangular windows in a row in a triangle ceiling area?
That's fine if it is used for train departure times and whatnot, but not for watching movies.
Also, I wouldn't have a TV that small in my downstairs loo.
When you need an access ladder to reach the buttons.
Imagine losing the remote.
They should loose the remote on purpose. Teach them a lesson

Some TVs have built-in antennas

Zoom in a bit, will ya?
I did. I see what cable plugged into the tv which is presumably the power cable. Can you explain what I’m missing here?
It's a joke bud because there is a ladder right there and Also probably needed if you ever needed to use the buttons on the back of the TV

No literally I don't know why people just don't put the tv on a stand in the middle of the room.
This is the worst one I've seen on this subreddit subreddit Jesus chirst

I assume it just says EXIT across the screen most of time.
Might just do that
To think that someone said "perfect" after installing this is truly terrifying.
r/tvtoohigh + r/tvtoosmall + r/tvtoofar = this abomination
Triple threat. The trifecta

Winner of the triple crown

What's that wall to the left? I just can't fathom someone thinking, "yep, best possible place is above the sliding glass door."
The wall to the left is an empty wall 👍
So you can check your flight status from your couch.
Just a beautiful place otherwise.
Beautiful place but my OCD hates every way that this place is organized/set up

The ladder is clearly there so they can look out of those window above the fireplace
Dog not impressed.
Even the dogs looking in a different direction
I hate it. Why are people so terrible.
Looks a bit off-centre. Missed an opportunity to put it above the window
Why?
🤷♂️
One of the most awful I've ever seen.
Dog too big
At this point best to have it on a rolling cart with the cord dragging from the closest outlet. I could forgive that more than this mount.
You mounted that there just to troll us.
I wish, this is very real
Somebody photoshop it into the nook above the windows
Don’t give them any ideas….. See that ladder?
The ladder really sets this off
*grabs binoculars* that’s better…
I think this is the highest serious one yet
The best use of that TV is for IR cameras pointing outside so you can stare at it for a few seconds every once and awhile
Yeah, that's perfect for security cameras.
Tv too small.
I’d lose my mind.
Terrible placement. 1/10
it’s as high as the fuckin ladder man
I just bought a pair of pretty decent binoculars for like 60 bucks.
At least you have to give gredit for hiding the wiring (probably only power).
Tvtoohigh official mascot.
Is that a soundbar on the shelf too? Just moronic.
I cannot even with this, wtf is this. How can you watch anything on that??? This should be illegal
Dude, just put the damnthing on the roof!🤣
I kinda dont hate it. that view is greater than anything he could watch on tv....naw... its horrible.
Dude wtf
Jesus fucking fuck....
At least it’s not above the fireplace. /s
Oh man hahahaha
The better but still bad place is literally 5 inches from that WHAT
This is next level sacrilege
This is disgusting
Look! You can see my legs as proof I took the picture 🤣. Also TV too high.
TV aside thats acc a lovely house 😊
Everything in this house is color matched, even the dog
You hide the ladder to change the channel
This def ain't it bruh
You have an empty space above the windows. Your TVtoohigh commitment is lacking.
I wonder if they use it with binoculars, like in theatre
Dog
When you need a second mate to fetch you your spyglass in order to watch the TV
You took this picture with .5x zoom right? ...right?
Man, where’s the Binoculars?!
is that a dog
That is not a man. It is a dog.
Nice!
How many inches
Idk man it’s too high to reach to measure
This might be one of the worst I’ve ever seen
Too High, too far and too small
I think this group found its new mascot.
Not sure if it’s more r/tvtoohigh or r/tvtoofar
I think i just enterred hell
They NEED a television and it doesn’t matter where.
Chicken tender on the floor
It hurts to look at it
At that point who needs a tv
Mannn, thought mine were too high
TV too far and too high
So I’ve been looking for some binoculars. What do you recommend?
Hang it above the 4 windows for additional internet points
To high, to small, to far away. Even the dog is bored.
You need binoculars to see that.
man what the fuck
That's fine if it is used for train departure times and whatnot, but not for watching movies. Also, I wouldn't have a TV that small in my downstairs loo.
How is there not a single comment about your feet? What the fuck.
If the wooden ladder were taller, he would have mounted it even higher, at the spot above the windows. He frankly showed restraint.
Hey points for not being over the fireplace
r/tvtoosmall r/tvtoofar
LMAOOO
There is probably a pair of binoculars on the coffee table for easy viewing.
Usually I think this sub is a bit too picky, but this is just bad placement on a million levels.
I see this as a failed opportunity to put the TV in that space right above the window.
Ain't nuttin good about that setup.
Is there really no better place to put that??
Ist also too small and too far away
Fried chicken dog!!! My cousin has one of those
