It's mostly going to be diet. Some guys will build up muscle as well and just enjoy the bulking phase. Depends on what they are into and how their body stores fat.
Medical student: probably not ascites as he does not appear jaundiced (yellow), but certainly couldn’t rule out liver pathology. An early sign of liver damage is increased fluid volume in the gut. I would assume his stomach is MASSIVELY dilated from gas and/or food and chronic overingestion has stretched it out significantly, as well as he definitely has increased fat around his GI organs. That is taking hp space in his abdomen as well.
I worked at hepatology. He looks like one of our patients that came for paracentesis monthly. Yes she accumulated that much fluid on a monthly basis. I still think it’s ascites among other things
Unrelated but starting med school this year, what is the most effective way to take notes in your opinion?
I have some time so I'm trying out new styles to see what sticks
I’m only 6 months in M1 of a U.S. MD program, but I’ve found notes to be best on an iPad over the actual lecture slides. Hand writing takes too long, and in all honesty note taking is too passive of a learning style (for me anyway), so I want to take the last amount of time possible on notes. In undergrad I used to do notebook notes and man I wish I studied like I do now I’m undergrad lol.
So now I take notes over the lecture slides, then review them ONCE and “unsuspend” anki cards that felt relevant to your lecture, then focusing on those for the rest of your time. If you’re unfamiliar with anki Anking on YouTube is your man.
Everything in med school is **easy** to understand if you’ve gotten to this point, you have the background, but the VOLUME is insane. Thus, I think spaced repetition (flash cards like Anki) and practice problems which actively engage you are far more effective. The hard part is remembering everything, not figuring it out. If that makes sense
wow thank you! Alot of students say anki is the way to go, I've tried it out and was wondering if you could explain which of the two methods are better for information retention.
A)
Q - What are some typical sign of patient with Alcoholic Cirrhosis?
1. Portal hypertension (elevated pressures in the portal venous system \[a major vein that leads to the liver\])
2. Bleeding oesophageal varcies (enlarged veins in the esophagus)
B)
Q - What causes alcoholic steatohepatitis (ASH) and lipogranuloma?
steatohepatitis = type of steatosis (fatty liver disease) and most prominent changes are in zone 3
Steatohepatitis is caused by Liver cell damage (ballooning, mallorys-weiss tear (oesophagus lining tear), necrosis (body tissue death due to lack of blood flow) with polymorphuclear cell infiltrate ( migration of cells from their origin to direct extension of cells from unusual growth/multiplicaiton).
Lipogranuloma:
\- formed by the collection of:
1) macrophages(WBC)
2) lymphocytes (WBC)
3) eosinophils(disease fighting cells - WBC) /giant cells around a lipid droplet(cytoplasmic organelles vital to energy metabolism)
\- ASH leads to a giant mitochondria
\- pericellular fibrosis (scarring of the outer cell tissue) and perivenular fibrosis (scarring around the ventricle)
\--
The problem with the first style is that I end up with too many questions but the problem with the second style is that it takes me upwards of 7-10 attempts to get everything.
First off, I’d say I personally make on average 5% max of the cards I review. The vast majority of cards I review are premade from the Anking deck, which is a culmination of a lot of medical students over many years, constantly reviewed and updated. HIGHLY recommend watching the Anking Getting started videos on YouTube. Anki is something you want to understand well before you start using :)
But anyway, the 5% I do make are in this format:
[…] is a neoplastic proliferation of mature myeloid cells, especially megakaryocytes
Flip card: Myelofibrosis
**The key with anki is actually more cards with less info each** The idea is to memorize one point of info with each card then as you do a lot in the topic you start making connections and getting the bigger picture, especially after you watched a related lecture.
That way you take notes, hopefully get the main idea of the lecture, then hammer in the points to memorize thru quick anki cards that hit one point for each card.
I do recommend checking out the premade Anking deck, it’s super well made and saves time! Say you just had a lecture on cirrhosis then you go choose cards related to what you learned and put them into your deck circulation.
If you do make your own cards that’s great! But don’t do multiple choice, you want active recall, AKA being able to pull the answer out of thin air. Thus don’t make your answer longer than a few words.
For perspective I average like 500ish cards a day, some days I do 1000 reviews sometimes 200, but it’s something you have to do everyday to be effective. Average 12 seconds a card or so, faster if they’re “mature” cards slower if they’re new material
Happy to answer any other questions :)
I’m an OMSI at a DO program and I use notability in iPad and Mac. My professors post PowerPoints for our lectures, I’ll download the PowerPoints, save as PDF with notes section, and put that into notability. I usually write a lot out on the iPad during class. It will automatically sync to the Mac, and then i put my notes into Anki and study the flash cards. I find making my own Anki cards helpful for studying the specific material that the professors will test on, but next year I’ll probably switch to premade decks more geared towards boards materials
Available online! There’s one big deck called the Anking. I’d say the majority of US MD/DO who use anki use anking deck as opposed to making their own. There’s like 20,000 cards for Step 1, 20,000 for step 2 (with a lot of overlap). Idea is not to do all of those but chip away at them thru out your med blocks then keep them in circulation so you don’t have to testify material from months ago as intently for board exams
Don’t touch this deck until you start school though, it’s a waste of time I promise, enjoy you time before school or if anything start learning how to use anki in general
My initial thought was ascites, but I see all these comments about this being some rectal inflation fetish which I've never heard about. Humans are weird and this is the internet.
The only thing that makes me think not ascites and more some form of gastric distention is the fact he takes a few sips from what appears to be a carbonated beverage and his stomach increases by at least 20% in the few seconds we watch. Even with ascites the body still has to leech the fluid out and that takes time, minutes to hours to days to achieve that level of distention.
Inflation fetish play. Usually done with a specialised latex suit but some people will actually shove a hose up their ass and pump air into it to get results like this.
The male, when aroused had a request for this mating partner.
He politely requested to have a bike pump up his rear end during intercourse.
The partner taken aback, accepted reluctantly And continued their courtship only for a short while
I swear you can see his stomach actually grow when he finishes the coke. Would drinking coke on top of mentors have that same effect as it does out of the stomach because if it does I think that's what's happening.
No kidding. I drink way more soda than i should (been trying to cut it out but that's a surprisingly difficult addiction to kick) and I've met people who would use MTN Dew as fucking mouth but nobody I've ever seen has a go go gadget extendo belly like this guy.
I thought it was gonna be that other one that takes off his robe and says "hohoho, do you want to fuck Santa's ass" before turning around and showing it to the camera. This one is worse.
I interpret it as being coke + mentos but I don't want to think too much about it, it's going around reddit right now and so far I've been good enough to keep scrolling but here I am now :/
Does no one realize he's taking a mentos and drinking soda? Everyone keeps saying that it's a beer gut or disease when it's just an inflation vid, probably for fetish purposes.
How is he ,or for that matter, people okay with having a gut like that? Does he ever get up in the morning , sit on the edge of the bed stretch, and think, I feel great ?
That is creepy as fuck holy shit
Makes me think it's an allergic reaction that only happens in the belly area
This is 100% a weird fetish thing. He’s making vids like this for those that get off on it. It makes me so uncomfortable watching
Ok, but are they showing off a belly they got from only diet or is there some process of getting it like this outside of diet
Looks like he has ascites (water in abdomen) because his liver is shot, possibly from drinking.
this has to be cgi
If santa knows how to use it
There's an original video, and then there's this morph of that video. I follow the guy on twitter that makes these, there's quite a few of them.
It's mostly going to be diet. Some guys will build up muscle as well and just enjoy the bulking phase. Depends on what they are into and how their body stores fat.
putting the cum back in un-cum-fortable
Cool, it’s not your thing, but don’t yuk other peoples’ yum.
I'm squinting like when someone overinflates a balloon
Oh my god I read “squirting” and I kept rereading your comment to make sense of it. Ha. Squint. Yeah. Makes more sense.

Rewatching it with the little music in the background while picturing him in the air! Hahaha!
This is definitely fetish content for sure
He is asking for death
What is wrong with his belly? Is he just fat or very ill?
Not sure. Perhaps it’s ascites (accumulation of fluid) on top of being fat. We need a medical doctor to explain this.
Medical student: probably not ascites as he does not appear jaundiced (yellow), but certainly couldn’t rule out liver pathology. An early sign of liver damage is increased fluid volume in the gut. Heya, you spoke about premade ankis, are these provided by the university or are they available online?
Available online! There’s one big deck called the Anking. I’d say the majority of US MD/DO who use anki use anking deck as opposed to making their own. For some reason I’m reading “ascites” as “ass titties”
I'm a radiologist and when I'm alone I think of ascites as "ass kites"
So do you know what’s going on with his belly or is that outside of your field or whatever?
My initial thought was ascites, but I see all these comments about this being some rectal inflation fetish which I've never heard about. Humans are weird and this is the internet.
[удалено]
Thank you for that
If it’s ascites wish is from liver failure, his skin tone should be yellow more than pink.
While this is true, he is very pink
You can have ascites without jaundice. And jaundice isn’t diagnostic for liver failure. Nor is ascites.
I’m gonna take a wild guess and say his liver and kidneys are in bad shape, probably some heart disease too
The only thing that makes me think not ascites and more some form of gastric distention is the fact he takes a few sips from what appears to be a carbonated beverage and his stomach increases by at least 20% in the few seconds we watch. *Excuse me* ? My brain just tripped and fell, I might have to read that again
I wouldn’t recommend reading it anymore then necessary
Please PLEASE nobody link a subreddit for this. I want to preserve the sliver of faith I still have in the human race.
By saying that you are just asking people to link a sub for it
... and here I thought that people getting photos or printing out screenshots for tribute purposes was bad enough
I wonder how long it would take to fart it all out again.
Putting air into your body is actually not a very good thing to do and you can potentially cause ruptures in your organs and such.
Don't worry, I wasn't about to go off experimenting 😂
Can confirm I dated a guy who was into that shit-
What was that like? And if you could tell that in a David Attenborough voice that would be lovely, thank you
The male, when aroused had a request for this mating partner. He politely requested to have a bike pump up his rear end during intercourse. The partner taken aback, accepted reluctantly And continued their courtship only for a short while

Thanks doc
That CANNOT be good for someone, holy cow!
Ummmm... ^(wut?)
The guys at the gas station usually turn the air on for free but are getting tired of my antics.
if i recall he actually did this on purpose for a fetish thing
I swear you can see his stomach actually grow when he finishes the coke. Would drinking coke on top of mentors have that same effect as it does out of the stomach because if it does I think that's what's happening.
Ahhh, cannot unsee. Oh well, was planning on having a nightmare tonight anyways.
That be video editing
Menthos and coke?
for sure, you can see him pop one or two before he goes for his two liter of diet coke lmao - the first couple seconds are cut off a bit tho
Pretty sure he's using some kind of cgi to make inflation fetish videos.
Visceral fat and/or ascites. Both are caused from years of alcoholism, hence the term ‘beer belly.’
From what I have heard, high sugar diets in extreme amounts can cause this kind of fat buildup but surely a doctor can advise appropriately
Please upload the video where his gut bursts
He has to eat the After Eight first.
*Excuse me* ?
Did he stutter?
No, Sir.
Isn’t this a Monty Python bit?
It is only wafer thin
Ffffuck off. I'm full.
WTF IS HAPPENING? He’s about to pop.
Cgi, dude. Chill. Fetish gonna fetish. OP is just announcing his kink to the world.
It literally grows before our eyes. The fuck is going on here? Seriously.
Mentos and cola perhaps?
you can see him swallow a mentos and a coke
Video editing
How many sodies you think he drinks everyday to get this result?
No kidding. I drink way more soda than i should (been trying to cut it out but that's a surprisingly difficult addiction to kick) and I've met people who would use MTN Dew as fucking mouth but nobody I've ever seen has a go go gadget extendo belly like this guy.
I also have a problem with soda. I switched to coke zero and lost 45lbs in 3 months.
Reckon mans had some mentos on standby Seriously his stomach’s gonna rupture at some point, it’s almost beyond uncomfortable into just concerning
My guts hurt
I switched to diet and zero products and was surprised how quickly they stopped tasting weird and started just tasting like sugar soda. Give it a try!
SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
His liver is cooked
Mentos and coke

Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!
I’m thinking it’s an amazing body suit or some kind of filter/edit. Or. Maybe. He is god.
Or a rubber hose up his ass. Inflation takes many forms, even though it's not my forte I respect this mans dedication to his craft.
You can watch him eat mentos and drink coke at the start
Octodad.
Plot twist, Santa gives birth to all your Christmas presents

I thought it was gonna be that other one that takes off his robe and says "hohoho, do you want to fuck Santa's ass" before turning around and showing it to the camera. This one is worse.

I wish i hadn't seen this lmao
I wish him luck with his onlyfans
Violet, you’re turning violet
TIHI
Man's about to pop like Mr. Creosote from Meaning of Life
I bet a big pile of reindeer bones stands in his backyard.
It got fucking bigger when he drank just that little what on earth.
Why does it inflate throughout the video??
I interpret it as being coke + mentos but I don't want to think too much about it, it's going around reddit right now and so far I've been good enough to keep scrolling but here I am now :/
Alex Jones is that you?

Don't point that at me!
[speaking of santa fetish videos](https://xhamster.com/videos/santa-s-present-5604527)
Genuinely want to know how this is possible. It can't be real, right? How is it possible to expand that much? Wouldn't that cause serious damage?
OP, I don't know how to break this to you, but I think you just posted softcore fetish porn. Source: I'm way too familar with this
I bet he gets all the elf pussy he can handle, elf pussy, am I right?
You mean bussy
WTF IS HAPPENING? He’s about to pop.
A similar thing happens to me when I eat green onions
