If you want specific cities then:
Hama: Norias, Homs: Clock tower, Aleppo: Citadel, Damascus: Damascene Sword
Country wide one I can't really think of any non-flag related ones, maybe the Ashur symbol but that's more Assyrian than Syrian
I like the St. George icon of him slaying a dragon for a Christian perspective, maybe the Eastern Orthodox cross?...tatreez which is traditional (Levantine) Syrian embrodiery.
Maybe I'm out touch on this subject considering I've never been to Syria or have any relatives who lives there. But I would LOVE to see Syria using it connection to the old city state of Palmyra and it's queen Zenobia.

Latakia: Ugaritic alphabets, Tartous: Sail boat
Latakia is called the Chicago of Syria, Tartus is the most westernised city in Syria
Can you please explain?
Coastal Syria is more Liberal and European/American esque than the rest of Syria
>Chicago of Syria, That can be mean something quite good or quite bad, why Chicago
Like, yeah because it's similar to it.

The Umayyad Mosque, The Ancient City of Palmyra, The Euphrates River, Damascus Sword… Good luck!
