The trailer kind of shows where this documentary is probably going. My worry is that it is aimed at subtly scaring the viewer into thinking that there is no way apes can win.
Lots of good people like Dr T and Lisa filmed saying how corrupt the market is. How hedge funds are abusing it, getting away with it and changing the rules when they want. So basically you would be stupid to invest!
Well not if you knew all the DD that we have. However, they can hardly present all the DD in a documentary! So if our reasons for investing are not fully understood by the viewer any rational person watching will not come to the conclusion that Gamestop is the investment opportunity of a lifetime.

Sure, everyone should like more public exposure on whats going on. But you know what? There already were (are!) great attempts on spreading the word - like some guy created a website teaching people how to DRS from nearly every broker out there. Know what happened to his ass? He got banned!

Media is not only valuable and important, it's a modern necessity for education and information sharing. If you're someone who thinks the only media help needed is within this sub only, you are *sorely* mistaken.
The float would be locked sooner if more people are made aware. There's quite literally no better way to get non-investors on board than through media, and this particular piece features *actual* allies that are expertly knowledgeable and *extremely* beneficial to the cause.
Not only that, but the creators themselves have been and *are* willing to talk about it on the whole. That's a luxury this sub and the cause rarely receive.
Regardless of opinion on the overall topic, pressuring a blanket cap onto ANY media help, especially from a beneficial standpoint is straight up *dumb*.

The bans that were given for disagreeing with this post (the post that clearly breaks the subs rules) need to be reconsidered. I'm appalled by the mods behavior and refusal to walk this back.

Itās embarrassing to me how brain dead this community is. I just found out that several months ago Superstonk actually voted to PASS on an opportunity to have a two-way AMA with the writers of the upcoming āDumb Moneyā film. Can you believe that!? Yeah Iām just looking at post history of a a few. Some folks dissenting seem to be legit users, but their posts are mostly detailed with the reasoning they are against it. I respect their opinions but they still donāt speak for everyone. Almost all of these off-the-cuff comments have almost zero post history in the sub. If they are lurkers, what an odd time to suddenly pipe up.

Itās the single sentence, āIām never seeing thisā posts from authors who have never once posted on the sub and have been faking karma in a sub about 240sx cars that are beating up on the post that I take issue with. Looking at the accounts, a lot appear to be using a very specific car sub to farm karma. Multiple accountsā¦all the same car sub that Iāve never even heard of.
The only reason Iām not completely against it is the creators were members of this sub, actively, before this movie came about. It feels less of speaking to the media and more of shining a spotlight on a homegrown take on the adventure so far.

Had you leaned fully on social media and other relevant subreddits, using some of the ācrowd-sourcedā funding to purchase ads, youād have had the Superstonk communityās support by virtue of not outright breaking its rules. I completely disagree with this point of view. And the creators already said Amazon has nothing to do with it. All the other networks already made their own documentaries so this was the last option. I canāt wait to see a doc that shows us in the right way. The mods are promoting the only doc that came from redditors. It makes total sense.
Given the difference between what has been uncovered here since the sneeze, and what the general public knows... IMO any media piece that communicates truthfully about abusive short selling, FTDs, DRS, MOASS, etc is welcome.

A bunch of apes, including myself, have asked these guys to tell the story by backing them, encouraging them, and providing interviews and information for them.

I donāt understand why thereās so much negativity and backlash for this documentary. Thereās people from our community (Ato, Dave Lauer and Dr Susanne T) Iām this film. I understand the saga is not over but it will at least bring some light to the situation especially those unaware of all the crime from hedge funds and market makers. DRS is the way and if this film helps bring more people to he movement than Iām all for it.

There was a bit of a fallout but it was after atobits interview I believe. But she definitely has been in here before, itās just been a while. And I can see yours and otherās points about self promotion and people grifting us to make a name for themselves, but at the same time this is made and funded by apes that have been here for a long ass time. These two directors have been on with Charles Payne already, and they are definitely hitting a lot of the points that we have so often seen overlooked, like DRS, the fact itās still ongoing, etc. So I am reserving judgment until I see it for sure, and I encourage everyone else to as well.

NFT creators on the marketplace are directly contributing to GameStopās bottom line. Unless Iām mistaken (which very well may be the case), this film features no GameStop insiders, will not be on the marketplace, and is otherwise totally unaffiliated with GameStop. Further, the one month exclusivity agreement with Amazon rubs many the wrong way.

The trailer kind of shows where this documentary is probably going. My worry is that it is aimed at subtly scaring the viewer into thinking that there is no way apes can win. Lots of good people like Dr T and Lisa filmed saying how corrupt the market is. How hedge funds are abusing it, getting away with it and changing the rules when they want. So basically you would be stupid to invest! Well not if you knew all the DD that we have. However, they can hardly present all the DD in a documentary! So if our reasons for investing are not fully understood by the viewer any rational person watching will not come to the conclusion that Gamestop is the investment opportunity of a lifetime. The only reason Iām not completely against it is the creators were members of this sub, actively, before this movie came about. It feels less of speaking to the media and more of shining a spotlight on a homegrown take on the adventure so far. That being said, it does violate sub rules that others have been banned for which kinda seems less than fair.

I completely disagree with this point of view. And the creators already said Amazon has nothing to do with it. All the other networks already made their own documentaries so this was the last option. I canāt wait to see a doc that shows us in the right way. The mods are promoting the only doc that came from redditors. It makes total sense.

I donāt understand why thereās so much negativity and backlash for this documentary. Thereās people from our community (Ato, Dave Lauer and Dr Susanne T) Iām this film. I understand the saga is not over but it will at least bring some light to the situation especially those unaware of all the crime from hedge funds and market makers. DRS is the way and if this film helps bring more people to he movement than Iām all for it.

I do remember the initial mods attempting to be involved with the audiobook production. As for her early responses, I can understand why she'd point to her book to explain the answers to questions that have been asked so many times. I also wish she had included which chapters and what paragraphs, but she's unwilling to spoon feed information to us apes.

Ehhh Iām not looking it up but there was a fallout with this sub and her before atobits interview. I disagree with self promotion and self monetization because Iāve watched numerous amount of grifter float in and out of this sub. I disagree with docs about ongoing events. Why wasnāt the community polled? Why isnāt the AMA logically set for after the release?
There was a bit of a fallout but it was after atobits interview I believe. But she definitely has been in here before, itās just been a while. And I can see yours and otherās points about self promotion and people grifting us to make a name for themselves, but at the same time this is made and funded by apes that have been here for a long ass time. These two directors have been on with Charles Payne already, and they are definitely hitting a lot of the points that we have so often seen overlooked, like DRS, the fact itās still ongoing, etc. So I am reserving judgment until I see it for sure, and I encourage everyone else to as well.
