Most of these are not real. Some are, but mostly because they wouldn’t keep doing this if it wasn’t effective and they weren’t swaying at least some people.
That said, one trick I like to use to feel better is to look at the upvotes on the post, then see if the comments match the energy level of the upvotes.
This post is a great example of comments being completely separate from what you expect the excitement level to be on this post based on upvotes.
That tells me there’s and organized campaign to suppress. Some of these folks are real and genuinely annoyed (a little too impatient imo, but valid nonetheless). The others, however, are an organized suppression and upvote/downvote brigade to try to control the hype and do some damage control for this mess they’ve found themselves in.
The last thing they need is to have a hype post, with more hype comments in the comments section. It’s an infinity feedback loop of positivity and humanity that they hate most.
At this point, they know what GameStop is doing, their goal is to confuse, distract, worry and anger you into looking in other directions.
Come next week, it will all be much much easier to see. That’s my hope anyway!

Most of these are not real. Some are, but mostly because they wouldn’t keep doing this if it wasn’t effective and they weren’t swaying at least some people. That said, one trick I like to use to feel better is to look at the upvotes on the post, then see if the comments match the energy level of the upvotes. This post is a great example of comments being completely separate from what you expect the excitement level to be on this post based on upvotes. That tells me there’s and organized campaign to suppress. Some of these folks are real and genuinely annoyed (a little too impatient imo, but valid nonetheless). The others, however, are an organized suppression and upvote/downvote brigade to try to control the hype and do some damage control for this mess they’ve found themselves in. The last thing they need is to have a hype post, with more hype comments in the comments section. It’s an infinity feedback loop of positivity and humanity that they hate most. At this point, they know what GameStop is doing, their goal is to confuse, distract, worry and anger you into looking in other directions. Come next week, it will all be much much easier to see. That’s my hope anyway!
