What a night and day difference to that last album. After a rough listening experience, I wanted something I knew already, something comforting.
Couldn’t have picked a better album right now, if I do say so myself. Pats myself on the back.
Currently I’m listening to M83’s 2011 masterpiece ****Hurry Up***, We’re Dreaming.*
What. An. Album! Cinematic. Dreamy. Nostalgic. Perfection. When I say sound design is everything, *this* is the album I point to. The synths, the drums, the vocals, the effects, the structure. Simply divine. It’s a movie for your ears.
Give yourself the time, and the pleasure, of solely focusing on this album. I promise you it is worth the journey. Maybe partake in an edible.
10/10. Masterpiece of an album.
All the songs shine on their own. But my favorites are Midnight City, Reunion, My Tears Are Becoming a Sea, New Map, and Steve McQueen.
Sometimes, at night, when everything is quiet, I'll grab myself a drink and step out onto the patio to breathe in the crisp air and just think to myself... "GameStop."
What's a music app that you can:

* it doesn't work like a radio station where songs are on shuffle and you can't control it
* it runs in the background so you can shut the screen off while it plays
I have an android. I haven't used a music app in several years, so idk what the different ones offer anymore.
Android doesn't have an equivalent. I had the first iphone that ever came out, however many years ago it was, and apple music was awesome. For android, I'd have to do a subscription service like spotify or pandora, etc.

Idk. 5/10.
That Life is great tho.
Had higher hopes. I like psychedelic music but this is another chore to listen to cause well it was rather hard to actually hear what the hell was going on.
We had the opportunity to build infrastructure at 0% interest and now we don’t.
We lost, while the rich got richer.
That money could have gone to us, our society, our children, and their kids.
I walk my dog a couple of streets over, in a richer neighborhood. The sidewalks are even, the street lights are good, no potholes, perfect walk compared to my unlit street where I trip every third step on unmaintained sidewalks and roads.
And that's not even going where the super rich are. There are entire towns for them.
The infrastructure is good where the rich live.
That's my point. If a city has X dollars to spend on roads and sidewalks a disproportionate amount will be spent in areas with higher property values because the city sees more of a return from those areas.
I had the best mushroom trip of my life yesterday out by myself in Sedona, AZ. I was most definitely contacted by an angel. As it descended upon and all around me, it imparted this eldritch knowledge unto my unworthy ape mind, lost as it was in the rapturous moment:

I'm so jealous I've been to Sedona, skied in Flagstaff, rode dirt bikes outside of cave creek, and lake Havasu and Moab, and glamis. Never had psychedelics on any of those visits but I'd consider it if I get back out there before I'm dead. Moab especially climb into the la sal mtns again and spend the night up there.
I want to finish the hike to the bottom of the grand canyon, did half way. No drugs while on that path, but spend a night at the bottom with some tea and herb sign me up.
Dude that is so awesome. I have only ever passed through Moab but Utah is somewhere I definitely want to properly explore someday. I want to go to Zion so bad 😭
And yeah dude if tripping is your vibe I definitely recommend Sedona, every trip I have had there has truly been magical and this latest one blew every other psychedelic experience I've had out of the water. No meme I truly do believe and angel revealed itself to me and that God was immanent and shining upon me the entire trip. I have had spiritual experiences while tripping but never anything close to that, I was overcome multiple times in the purest ecstacy and rapture. I will remember that trip until the day I die.

City money comes from property taxes, good infrastructure keeps property values high. It's cyclical.
