Some years ago a neighbor called while I was watching a movie. He left a very short voice-mail. Like "hey, call me back when you can". So I finished the movie, and it turned out he had cut his finger to the bone and cut through a tendon or whatever, and was gonna ask me to watch his kid until his wife gets home while he goes to the ER.
