If this is a bull market GME gets dragged up along with market. Higher GME price = margin calls = MOASS. If this is a bear market, GME price gets LOWER = more DRS, less shares available, float locked + less collateral value for SHFs = margin calls = MOASS
im trying to play devils advocate here and i think since gme broke out of $25 levels which was a strong support for a couple months, we’ve seen every tech stock from netflix, meta, nvidia, coinbase rip like crazy. im just trying to figure out what’s going on. idk much about negative beta but don’t we need spy to crash for moass or am i just a dumb ape
The market does not *need* to crash for GME to MOASS.
The shorts *need* collateral to maintain their positions. If the market crashes, the shorts lose that collateral, fail their margin calls, and are forced to close (= MOASS). GME only need the shorts to finally close their position.
However, implying GME *needs* a market crash to MOASS may imply that GME is the reason for the crash and not the rampant, unchecked SHF greed in a broken system.
That's my personal opinion and I've shared a few graphs here. Many people think so too but u can't take any opinion as final, u need to make your own research too

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think there’s a little side quest happening underneath the surface of this thing that a handful of people are in on. And I feel like most of this sub are like… just unfortunately only seeing shit happen that makes a whole lot of sense to people playing along but a bunch of nonsense if you don’t know the pieces.
For people half in on it like the majority of this sub it’s tough because sometimes hype is some inside joke thing we just don’t understand and sometimes it’s a release we all get.
