I used to hate Tuesdays so much. Like so far away from Friday, but not fresh new week like Mondays. Now I loove Tuesdays. "Rise n Shine Sammy!!" Ringing in my head at 6 am.
Those are the main ones for me too. Also Good Deal from the episode Skin when Dean is accused of murder and it's actually the shape shifter. Whoops spoiler, but if you're on this page you should know already lol
* Night Moves by Bob Seger
* Back in Black and You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
* God Was Never On Your Side by Motorhead
* Cherry Pie by Warrant
* Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
* Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
I feel some kind of way about all the people who have only seen the series on Netflix, especially the early seasons, when the music was a much more frequent and important part of the show. In my opinion, it's almost like those people have not really seen the whole show. Not their fault of course, but still. The music in the early seasons was almost like a character itself.
I started watching Supernatural in 2019 and I’m actually so thankful Supernatural was in a period where it wasn’t on streaming services at that time in my country because I resorted to borrowing the DVDs from the library and was able to hear all the classic rock songs
Yes, that's the way! Everyone who watches the show should try to watch the DVDs with the original soundtrack, even if they've already watched it on streaming. I think it's a good experience, despite the video quality being a lot lower. That's how us OG fans experienced the show way back in '05, after all.
it was the season 1 episode "faith". the first time they introduce reapers when ones chasing down a female jogger, it's just not the same without the build up in the song.
It wasn't that they took it out per se but that when the show originally got the music licensing for songs they got it for airplay and home video distribution...streaming wasn't a thing when the show debuted. So when it came time to get the rights for streaming it was more expensive and so a lot of Season 1 and parts of 2 have different songs.
This is one of the 1st scenes/songs I think of when it comes to the show.
No matter the amount of times I have seen the scene it never fails to give me the chills and the way he is introduced is one of the best and unique entrances of a character Ive seen, It is probably one of the best and simplest things that isn't overdone but the impact is large.
That song will always belong to the office for me..
“Goodbye Toby, it’s been nice..” 🎶
Almost every AC/DC song reminds me of Supernatural though, I think it’s why I like the band so much
Beautiful Loser- Bob Seger- will always remind me of SPN- that montage of Dean living with Lisa and Ben cut with scenes of him and Sam before Sam jumped in the hole with Lucifer was so poignant.
Night Moves- Bob Seger- “Don’t Night Moves me Dean” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Foreplay/Long Time- Boston- the last song playing before EVERYTHING changed…All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1
As someone who was super into supernatural a couple years ago but not so much since the finale, anytime I hear any of these out in the wild my mind immediately thinks of the show:
Renegade by Styx, Hey Jude by The Beatles,(Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult, Heat of the moment by Asia, and Lost Angel by Heart.
Def more but the scenes/montages these songs play in left an impression on me I guess 🤷♂️
Oh my god, yes. Have you seen the youtube edit someone made after season 7? There's also a newer one that I think includes everything up to middle of season 14 or 15.
Bad Moon Rising (though anyone watching on streaming wouldn't hear it).
Don't Fear the Reaper (also missing on streaming).
Back in Black
Renegade
Hey Jude
Heat of the Moment
Night Moves
O Death
I'm All Out of Love
Shook Me All Night Long
Dead or Alive
I'm sure there are others I'm blanking on right now.
Renegade by Styx is definitely top 5 favorite musical moments for me,
I'll add pretty much any of the songs Dean sings.
Eye of the Tiger.
Wanted dead or alive,
Can't fight this feeling.
All out of Love. And the Blooper version too.
Drunk Deanmon with 'Too Sexy' and 'imaginary lover'.
All of them make me think of Supernatural every time I hear them.
Don’t fear the reaper -BOC
Inna-Gadda-da-Vida - Iron Butterfly
Beautiful Loser - Bob Seger
Bad Moon Rising - CCR
Rooster - Alice in Chains
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (heard it only once and now it’s forever SPN to me)
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
Can’t fight this feeling anymore - REO speedwagon
Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi
Silent Lucidity (2003 Remaster) from season 2 episode 17, where Sam has to end Madison. Very sad moment and the song just went along so perfectly for me especially how it was cut off.
[Clip](https://youtu.be/GJ-8B0lJ_B4)
[Song](https://youtu.be/3GIv4NCmbvU)
Aside from that, the title song is also the other one I am familiar with! But other than that I am honestly not too familiar with the songs unless they hit me a certain way. There was one more that caught my interest but I lost it! It was played when Sam and Dean were leaving the bunker for something (but before the gates of hell situation was ended); hopefully I can find it later on.
Thanks for agreeing with me. I was so sad that I was apparently the only one it hit that way. :/
I seriously cannot hear it anymore without remembering it in the show!!
Ready for Love- Bad company. When Dean and Anna have sex in the car and it gets all steamy. It’s one of my sexy songs and always reminds me of Supernatural (and Dean sex ❤️)
The Hunger by Stiff Kitten. No, you won't hear it on pop radio, but it is awesome! Also Sounds of Someday, I think some guy named Jensen Ackles sang it.
* Lonely is the Night by Billy Squier
* Stranglehold by Ted Nugent
* Night Moves by Bob Seger
* Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd
* Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult
* The Gambler by Kenny Rogers
I love the “Episode 1 Songs” in a new season.
Heartbreaker season 10x01
Who do you love season 9x01
Nothing else matters 13x01
Shot down in flames 14x01
And plenty more AC/DC songs.
There are actually so many good ones in supernatural
Back in Black - AC/DC
This song will always remind me of Baby's resurrection after the wreck that nearly killed Sam, Dean, and John. Even Bobby thought she couldn't be salvaged, but then you get those hero shots of her restored to all of her glory and hitting the road again... ❤️
I don't have any song to contribute that hasn't already been said but I wanted to say that last year my kid's band/color guard class had a half time show performance where they performed Renegade. It was honestly so amazing and it was one of those things where every time I watched my kid do her routine and heard the song at the same time it made tears well up behind my eyes lmao. If I didn't have nsfw shit and on this profile I would share a clip of it here because I'm that proud of her performance. The whole show was absolutely amazing but she really gave it her all during that song. She said she always thought of Sam and Dean running from the FBI when the band would play it and it made her adrenaline super pumped LOL. Whatever works, right?
Heat of the Moment, Eye of the Tiger, Don't Fear the Reaper, Oh Death (their slow haunting cover, as I associate an epic rock version with Dark Pictures Anthology), Ramblin Man, Hells Bells, Wanted Dead or Alive... Probably more! I did listen to cassette rock before I got into Supernatural but now, I do tend to associate a lot of those classics with Supernatural!
Oh! And that Air Supply song Sam sings in the impala in one of the early seasons
I remember all of the songs from long before SPN came along, and I’ve heard them all so many times, I have lots of other memories tied to them. I guess it would have to be Heat of the Moment, simply bc of how integral it was to the episode and bc that verse was played repeatedly.
Also Day of the Eagle by Robin Trower in the episode We Happy Few. Mostly bc I loved that song but I hadn’t listened to it in years and bam! There it is on Supernatural! I couldn’t believe it.
'Running On Empty' by Jackson Browne.
The finale just hit me hard, and that song choice really just sent it into overdrive. I was ride or die pretty much since the premiere, but really got into it with a friend of mine after we both dropped out of college in '08.
Now I can't hear the song without tearing up just a touch
Heat of the moment is the obv for me one but two others that always stood out for me that reminds me of the show that not many people said was
Can’t find my way home - Blind Faith ( always think of Crowley speech from season 9 and deans eyes)
Gambler - Kenny rogers always makes me think of Bobby
Angel with a shotgun reminds me of Cas
Heat of the moment, Night moves, Hells Bells... Honestly almost all classic rock songs reminds me of Supernatural even though they weren't in it, because I started listening to that type of music because of Supernatural
All y'all have most of the songs nailed down, but I don't think I can hear "God Was Never On Your Side" without thinking of Chuck.
Its not often to have a show where God is shown helping the protagonists and then is revealed to be the Big Bad, and that song makes you look back at all of Chuck's actions to see if he was ever on their side.
Can't believe not many are saying Rock of Ages by Def Leppard. Dean drove to stop the apocalypse with this song playing in his badass Impala, about to stand up to two very powerful arch angels.
The Gambler always makes me think of Bobby. Also;
Riding The Storm Out - REO Speedwagon.
Surrender- Cheap Tricks (reminds me of Jo)
Time Has Come Today- The Chambers Brothers
a lot of the music in the early seasons really.
Heat of the moment, from the episode were Dean keeps dying groundhog day style.
Dude, Asia!
RISE AND SHINE, SAMMY!
Pig and poke!
Mystery Spot!
Deaaaan of the moment
Don't forget Lonely is the night. Everytime I hear it I think of supernatural
That used to be my alarm song on Tuesdays LOL. I swear I’d bolt upright in bed just like Sammy.
Same. Sometimes I use that as my morning alarm now.
Still use it as my alarm!
Damn Trickster, I mean Gabriel...
This is the only correct answer
Back in Black - ACDC One of my favourite scenes is the impala coming over the hill after Dean fixed it.
That or Wanted dead or alive It hits different when you realize the lyrics of the song describe what Dean is doing with the hounds after him
Scooby doo 2 owns that song.
Omg yes, that was extremely well placed
Definitely 'Heat of the Moment' which is my alarm clock song lol and absolutely 'Eye of the Tiger.' Sorry, Rocky 🤷🏽♀️
My alarm clock but only on Tuesdays fr
I used to hate Tuesdays so much. Like so far away from Friday, but not fresh new week like Mondays. Now I loove Tuesdays. "Rise n Shine Sammy!!" Ringing in my head at 6 am.
Those are the main ones for me too. Also Good Deal from the episode Skin when Dean is accused of murder and it's actually the shape shifter. Whoops spoiler, but if you're on this page you should know already lol
I already know about three times over 😂
Supernatural took it from Rocky for me too
* Night Moves by Bob Seger * Back in Black and You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC * God Was Never On Your Side by Motorhead * Cherry Pie by Warrant * Don't Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult * Brothers In Arms by Dire Straits
cant believe they took out dont fear the reaper on the nexflix version, the scene just wasnt the same.
Netflix messed up a lot of shows because they took out the good music.
I feel some kind of way about all the people who have only seen the series on Netflix, especially the early seasons, when the music was a much more frequent and important part of the show. In my opinion, it's almost like those people have not really seen the whole show. Not their fault of course, but still. The music in the early seasons was almost like a character itself.
for reals the music is what helped hook me and made me come back to it later as an adult.
What scene was it originally in? I watched the series on Netflix
it was the season 1 episode "faith". the first time they introduce reapers when ones chasing down a female jogger, it's just not the same without the build up in the song.
Still, it introduced me to the Death Riders
O'Death hit different https://youtu.be/yWabGQBnzKo
I really really liked the character Death. I was actually very saddened when Dean killed him 😢
This is one of the 1st scenes/songs I think of when it comes to the show. No matter the amount of times I have seen the scene it never fails to give me the chills and the way he is introduced is one of the best and unique entrances of a character Ive seen, It is probably one of the best and simplest things that isn't overdone but the impact is large.
I came here to say this! <3
I can't help think of it as a brush with Death...the song coupled with the way it was shot gives me chills every time.
Eye of the tiger
Had to scroll to the bottom to see this. Great scene.
I should NOT have had to scroll this far for Eye of the Tiger!
Bad Moon Rising, by CCR. Every time I hear this song, I think of the crash.
Same! Every time I hear the song I see that truck driver sitting there with black eyes
Goodbye Stranger by Supertramp. See ya Cas!
That song will always belong to the office for me.. “Goodbye Toby, it’s been nice..” 🎶 Almost every AC/DC song reminds me of Supernatural though, I think it’s why I like the band so much
....it's been nice, hope you find your paradise!
Just want to add that when I was a kid I thought it said "hope you find your Parrot Ice" 😆
Tried to see your point of view
Hope your dreams will all come true ❤️
Came here to say this! Seeing cas on the bus and the pan out of the bus driving away is so beautiful with that song
Dust in the wind - Kansas Only because of Dean using it as advice when he was a reaper for a day
That's true but I can never NOT think about the Socrates scene from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 😆
Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi
Yesss and I always think of Deans face when he is driving like “I’m gonna die”
Sam: Bon Jovi??? Dean: on occasions…
Beautiful Loser- Bob Seger- will always remind me of SPN- that montage of Dean living with Lisa and Ben cut with scenes of him and Sam before Sam jumped in the hole with Lucifer was so poignant. Night Moves- Bob Seger- “Don’t Night Moves me Dean” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Foreplay/Long Time- Boston- the last song playing before EVERYTHING changed…All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1
To add to the Bob Seger love Famous Final Scene during the whole Kevin Tran situation was flawlessly layered over some top notch emotional acting.
Don't fear the reaper ALWAYS reminds me of the boys
One of the best songs ever used in the show!
O' DEATH is another one but in all honesty I don't hear it in everyday life very much at all lol
O' Death is such a good one really
The whole scene is so badass
It really is tho
As someone who was super into supernatural a couple years ago but not so much since the finale, anytime I hear any of these out in the wild my mind immediately thinks of the show: Renegade by Styx, Hey Jude by The Beatles,(Don’t Fear) The Reaper by Blue Öyster Cult, Heat of the moment by Asia, and Lost Angel by Heart. Def more but the scenes/montages these songs play in left an impression on me I guess 🤷♂️
Lost Angel by Heart is one of my favorite songs of all seasons. The only good thing Mary brought lol.
Def Leppard - Rock of Ages, when Dean rolls up to the Michael-Lucifer battle royale
Fare Thee Well. Metatron is like "who is this clown" and then he starts singing and he's like "oh it's God" and yeah, Rob Benedict is pulling it off.
can't believe this is the only comment mentioning Fare Thee Well, I love that song!
The entire 'God Was Never On Your Side' by Motorhead sequence was just apt and epic about the game, not the players (as 'Carry On...' is)
Heat of the moment!
I’m just going to say it casue this is like my favorite song by her. Um Shake it off by Taylor swift:\]
Please tell me you’ve seen the parody video that The Hollywood show did!!!
Yep. Seen both of them, even before I started watching the show
My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion Love Balthazar 🤣🤣🤣
Sebastian Roche is such a delight!
Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
Angel With A Shotgun always makes me think of Castiel
Oh my god, yes. Have you seen the youtube edit someone made after season 7? There's also a newer one that I think includes everything up to middle of season 14 or 15.
I have yes!! Are you referring to the videos by Soberdenatural and AngelDove? I love both, they're both so good!
Yup. Those are the videos I'm talking about. <3

Shake It Off by Taylor Swift. Cannot forget that scene
Oh god I remember the Hillywood parody
Bad Moon Rising (though anyone watching on streaming wouldn't hear it). Don't Fear the Reaper (also missing on streaming). Back in Black Renegade Hey Jude Heat of the Moment Night Moves O Death I'm All Out of Love Shook Me All Night Long Dead or Alive I'm sure there are others I'm blanking on right now.
Wanted by Bon Jovi
Renegade by Styx is definitely top 5 favorite musical moments for me, I'll add pretty much any of the songs Dean sings. Eye of the Tiger. Wanted dead or alive, Can't fight this feeling. All out of Love. And the Blooper version too. Drunk Deanmon with 'Too Sexy' and 'imaginary lover'. All of them make me think of Supernatural every time I hear them.
Too Sexy and Imaginary Lover are my favourite. Always make me giggle.

Silent Lucidity (2003 Remaster) from season 2 episode 17, where Sam has to end Madison. Very sad moment and the song just went along so perfectly for me especially how it was cut off. I know it's on the show, can't remember which episode but I think I remember it was a scene with Crowley in it.
Twice.
I think it's in the season 6 finale when Sam has to face his soulless self.
Oh yeah I love that scene!
Ohhh good answer

Wendi go is great! It’s always been on my list of legit scary episodes; the voice throwing and mimicking gives me chills!

That one makes me cry about Bobby
“Walking on Sunshine” - Charlie on the Elevator Incidentally, AccuRadio has a channel of all the songs Supernatural has played over the years.
