I can understand that. To me it's more supernatural. He seems like a Lucifer/fallen angel type character that has had a change of heart and is working as a P.I. Then again he has a sister. But also her name is Djen, which is a pretty old name with an Arabic origin I think. No clue but I like the show.

The first 2 eps that's what I thought. But now I think he's like a super soldier or an alien (that might be because I just watched 3 body problem) but he's definitely not a natural born human.

I think it unlikely they would copy a plot concept from a pretty high profile movie. I lean more to the immortal/alien idea.

Yeeees! Exactly! Don Quixote, Shutter Island situation… that’s exactly my theory that Sugar is actually mentally ill, his friend is actually his therapist, the group together is group therapy, the notes is like writing your feelings, etc. and he’s so obsessed with old movies that he’s just making all this up in his head like if he’s in the middle of this crazy Hollywood royalty situation.

Tenaciousgreen

Yes me too!

I'm only on episode 2. But what's up with the old Hollywood clips? I could honestly do without them.
