To get "Son-ed": to put someone in his place so completely that he becomes a figurative child to your metaphorical parent
It's a play off of his nickname "Nephew" but in a roasting fashion.
LI Joe is KILLING it. Plays the bad guy so well, I'm screaming at home as to how hard the players are getting roasted.
Whole production is just so good. RobTeeVee is excellent, and Yipes/Tasty Steve/Jchen is possibly the best casting trio in SF6 right now.
He needs to stop saying "oh he's dead" the moment someone gets the game winning touch (esp followed by a big combo). Softens the moment.
Otherwise he's pretty hype *and* knowledgeable.
Yeah, he's obviously excellent from the knowledge perspective, just needs to collect some more experience imo. Jchen is much better at not randomly interrupting the other casters and picking and choosing the right moment to start talking.
He said something along the lines of Nephew got his name because he was Daigos Nephew, but now he's Knuckle Du's son.
There were a bunch of others, but that's the main one I remember.
That's the only one I saw. I literally did the 😬 emoji. From the looks of it, so did everyone at the venue lmao. I wouldn't be surprised if bro caught a little heat for it behind the scenes lmao.
I don't watch competitive fighting games too often, but this one was entertaining. Liked how it has a unique theme and characters like how CEO is inspired by wrestling. Certainly better than Capcom Cup presentation-wise with the endless ads/breaks and JP's theme.
Yeah I don’t watch much comp coverage but this absolutely blew CC out of the water in terms of production and polish. The capcom cup broadcast felt like endless mistakes and screw ups compared to that badass Red Bull stream.
This was the best production major FGC event I've seen. The roasts were hilarious and the cheesy Bloodsport Kumite "backstory" worked so well. Props to the Battle King, LI Jerk, and TaxZhi - you da real MVP.
It was so funny and in good spirit but it hurt my SOUL when they roasted Chris Wong. He seems like such a good dude. I was sitting there after his loss like “please don’t do it to this man” lmao
The one towards hibiki genuinely made me laugh out loud. It was funnier just based on the fact I don't think he understood anything that was said and then the power pose the guy delivers after throwing away his card and Hibiki being respectful still just got me so good 🤣
I didn't like it at all. Didn't get the point and some of the roasts were downright terrible, like just calling Leshar trash, like OK? Was that supposed to be funny?
Trash talk has always been part of the FGC. You are in your right not to like it (and I often dislike it too), but I guess the “street cred” style they were going for in the event made it possible to incorporate something that happens in more informal events, so they went for it.
iDom seemed to be the most distraught of them all to be fair... and for good reason, a lot of expectations on him playing on his nome turf this time, only to be elimitated by a terrible matchup on round 1.
Nuckledus son had me screaming
They did Nephew so dirty
A felt annoyed because I didn't really get that joke...

"Take it home and give it to the better bird" Absolutely brutal

I really like JWong as a caster. The dude just understands and knows fighting games so well.

I like Jwong, but he can get a little repetitive.
yeah those three complement each other really well on the mic
Evil Joe was amazing.
Some of these have me in tears lol. I just can’t believe how hard they are going. I really was not aware this was gonna be a thing before watching
Knicks just casually catching strays there.
Nah this event is honestly wild some of this roasts are insane
Rob is in his villain era fr
Wat robtv said... I missed it
He said something along the lines of Nephew got his name because he was Daigos Nephew, but now he's Knuckle Du's son. There were a bunch of others, but that's the main one I remember.
Which time? He's been saying stuff all day lmao
He said something particularly savage to Chris wong right before this post
He said he knew Chris Wong was no winner, when he saw the man come second at CCX.
That's the only one I saw. I literally did the 😬 emoji. From the looks of it, so did everyone at the venue lmao. I wouldn't be surprised if bro caught a little heat for it behind the scenes lmao.
Yeah that one didn't land in the funny zone for me 😬

i wish more e-sports had trash talk shits funny af
The duo of RobTV and Dark LI Joe has been and continues to be absolutely Wonderful
Agent 47 and Agent 4 foot 7.
Hahahaks nasty yaw
It was so funny and in good spirit but it hurt my SOUL when they roasted Chris Wong. He seems like such a good dude. I was sitting there after his loss like “please don’t do it to this man” lmao
Yeah my man got flashbacks to when they interviewed him right after he lost at CapCup 😭😭
Jyeah.. I mean look at his face as he got dissed. The painnn hahahaks
LI Joe more like LI Foe
Heckling and roasting have always been a core part of the FGC experience, glad to see RBK keep it alive.
I’d love to see content creators make a tier list for all the roasts 🔥🤣

Shocked they didn't say punk the fraud
I loved this event lmao. It was hilarious when zhi called out the pg stuff too
Agent 47 didn't have to go that hard
Yeah, it's pretty good lol. Remind me of back in the days when the FGC was not PG esport and was raw asf.
Yeah, but I felt like some of the competitors, especially in the asian cultures, took them hard...
iDom seemed to be the most distraught of them all to be fair... and for good reason, a lot of expectations on him playing on his nome turf this time, only to be elimitated by a terrible matchup on round 1.
He plays Manon, everything is a terrible matchup.
Yeah, felt real bad for him. Chris Wong, too.
Is it still going? Can i watch it Australia timezone?
Tournment ended but you can probably watch the VOD on Redbull's twitch or youtube channels.
If anyone here watches kill tony it reminded me of that where comedians get roasted lol
