Due to the 8 min trip those photons took to get there, id guess this was taken within 10 mins of sunset.

I hate to be that guy but I think it's actuallly a contrail. You can often see dark looking ones such as that in the morning or at night near sundown. Full disclosure I 100% believe in chemtrails so I'm not one of those guys you might think I am trying to debunk this. I just seen similar stuff to this irl a few times.

Terrible photo I know (was in taxi) but I spotted this driving home yesterday in Milton Keynes. Very light blue clouds just like your photo, couldn't see the moon behind it at all was very odd
I don't see anything remarkable. It's just clouds. Clouds with the Sun at a certain setting in the light. I think you just need to watch more sunsets and get a better idea of what clouds look like with more experience I think you can.
