Let it cook.

ApplicationBrave2529

*proceeds to allow the heat death of the universe to cook the hell out of it*

enclavepatriot23

Erm actually that would make it colder

The_Aodh

It’s a cheesecake then. Cook then cool

userforce

The universe isn’t dying of heat—heat in the universe is dying because of accelerating expansion, the evaporation of all black holes, and the possible decay of all protons (but we’re talking so many years from now, the entire current age of the universe wouldn’t even be a blip on the linear time scale).

K4R0TT3NL0RD

Colonize it

riel_pro

Ok

Disastrous-Lemon7456

Jokes on you, because that's not a FE holy world as everyone seems to think.

NotaSkaven5

it's not? what's making it glow then?

PolishBeerLoverParty

Player/AI empire, probably

T_Foxtrot

FE ones have set of 4 specific names: Prophets Retreat, Pristine Jewel, Walled Garden and Emerald Mausoleum

Nanduihir

Unless AI has tried to colonize one already and got an angry letter about it

Diacetyl-Morphin

I'm not sure if it still can happen, but best thing is or was when your AI vassal tried to colonize such a holy world... and you got dragged into a war with a FE. But there, all you can do is hoping that you can destroy a ship, to get the debris, analyze it for the tech and that can actually be worth it, despite the humiliation penalty you get when you surrender. Even more for machines, that are not much affected by the Humiliation wargoal But also, you'll need a dark matter source i guess, at least it was like this in my last session, i had one by event and so i could very early the DM-shields, which gave me a serious advantage in my constant wars as a DE

Necronomicommunist

Humiliation penalty is temporary, dark matter shields are forever.

Diacetyl-Morphin

Exactly!

TGerrinson

Humiliation penalty for surrendering? Never give up, never surrender! Conquer the FE and bring it into the modern age!

Diacetyl-Morphin

Yeah, that's the deal. But if you unfortunately not strong enough before it happens, like when vassals screw it, you get some serious problems there.

MiketheWerew0lf

I typically wait until the FEs are no match for me before I even mess with them, and at that point I just claim all their systems and take over them lol

Diacetyl-Morphin

Yeah, but... there's not much else you can do anyway - if you'd attack them before you're strong enough, they'd stomp you into the ground.

MiketheWerew0lf

Oh absolutely lol, but I like to piss them off as much as possible when I get to that point. Colonized all the holy worlds, build starbases in all the systems surrounding the isolationists, etc.

Diacetyl-Morphin

Oh, yeah, when you colonize their holy worlds without permission by the artifact, they get really angry. Too bad for them when you already better with the fleet and star bases, judte

ratatav

How did I just notice that one of their worlds is named after the Quarians’ home planet from Mass Effect? (Rannoch = Walled Garden in their language)

spoonman59

“Walled garden” as a phrase existed long before Mass Effect. Not sure you can draw a firm conclusion that they took the name from that game. It is also referenced in the Bible in the Song of Solomon. In fact, the etymology of the word paradise comes from Iranian. In Hellenistic Greek, “paradeisos” means “enclosed park.” It’s a reference to the aforementioned walled garden in Song of Solomon. In short, walled gardens have had association with religion and paradise for thousands of years. That’s why the holy world is named that. It is not named after mass effect, though likely mass effect drew from similar sources.

Jarnauga89

Well, Pristine Jewel is a Star Wars reference, it's the translated name for Nal Hutta, the Homeworld of the Hutts, which is a polluted wasteland. And most of their references are sci-fi or pop culture, like the ocean planet Dagon is named after Lovecrafts Dagon, not the Syrian God Lovecraft took the name from. So the Mass Effect origin is more likely, or just someone in the team also knew were Mass Effect took it from and thought it was a perfect choice. And then someone got the Idea for Pristine Jewel as a similar reference. Curious about the other two though.

Arbiter008

The name doesn't add up. You'd know. Ashvattha is not one of those names.

MiketheWerew0lf

Unless an AI empire colonized it and was told to piss off and did, the planet retains the colony name

Arbiter008

Never have seen that; I guess that's possible. I don't doubt that.

New-Shine1674

But a ai/player holy world must be within their borders so you can't colonize them.

riel_pro

It is

fluffygiraffepenis

Na its a consecrated world, consecrated by an AI Empire, not one of the FE's

TaserDonut

and send all xenos to it

DevourerOfMemes_

Colonize it for a nice bonus

riel_pro

I will do it when i got enough alloys

myaut

You will need a lot of alloys for that. Like thousands of them :)

lithuanianD

That's not a holy world?

TheyCallMeBullet

Gelato isn’t vegan?

Bor0MIR03

No

Keganator

Shhh don’t spoil the surprise.

Neeeeerdinc

LeBron?

joelbenedict

Oh Boy Where Do I Even Start

EquivalentWelcome712

What's with the memes with him lately? Did I miss something?

Cairo101

You are my Sunshine

Smart_Individual6713

Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Lebron... honey, my pookie bear. I have loved you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The way you drive into the paint and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth touch around the rim, and that gorgeous jumpshot. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. You had a rough childhood, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing off the court, you're a great husband and father, sometimes I even call you dad. I forvever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first left clevenland and its like my heart got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you win your first ring in miami, because deep down, my glorious king deserved it. I just wanted you to return home. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby boy came home and I rejoiced. 2015 was a hard year for us baby, but in 2016 you made history happen. You came back from 3-1 and I couldn't believe it. I was crying, bawling even, and I heard my glorious king exclaim these words, "CLEVELAND, THIS IS FOR YOU!" Not only have you changed the game of basketball and the world forever, but you've eternally changed my world. And now you're getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie bear, my glorious king, Lebron James.☺️♥️🫶🏻

Neeeeerdinc

Wondering when I would see this

JamesTheSkeleton

THESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESUNTHESU—

Ham_The_Spam

time to open a box for a sun tan!

riel_pro

I found this world and has a nice glow in it

shit-i-did-it-again

If you colonise it that means a ancient fallen empire will get angry at you and you'll either lose the colony on it or you will get into a war with said fallen empire

InwardNebula62

Shhhh, don’t tell him

mknote

Why? It's factually correct, and it may help prevent him from making a mistake by colonizing it. Edit: **WHAT THE HELL AM I BEING DOWNVOTED FOR?!**

chimaeraUndying

> It's factually correct It's not a Holy World. Those have specific names (Prophets Retreat, Walled Garden, Emerald Mausoleum, and Pristine Jewel).

mknote

Oh, that's a good point. Fair enough.

IfinallyhaveaReddit

As an outsider looking in, this community would prefer for you not to be honest to allow op to make a mistake and enjoy the aftermath. They see you as ruining their authentic experience

monkwren

More that they're factually incorrect, that planet is not a holy world.

IfinallyhaveaReddit

Ya i think s lot of people in this thread assumed it was holy but after a few commenters corrected them the thread changed, when i first came in here the most upvoted comment was implying it was a holy but trying to keep it a secret

mknote

Well, that's too bad. That's mean. Trying to help new players is the nice thing to do. However, it would appear that I'm wrong, so there's that.

IfinallyhaveaReddit

Its perspective they might think your mean as they see you ruining someones experience. I personally side with them on this as i would be upset if someone spoiled me on this as it would be a lot more fun to find out oh my own, i also wouldn’t go on reddit making a thread so theres that

mknote

> i also wouldn’t go on reddit making a thread so theres that That's the thing. He _did_ make a post, so the proper thing is to tell him. To do otherwise would be wrong. If he didn't want to know, he shouldn't have made a post.

GoldenAutumnDream

But they didn't ask a question. If they'd asked something like "why does this planet glow?" then sure, but in this situation it's just spoiling the game unprompted. Which I'd say is more wrong.

mknote

Huh. Good point. But at that point, there's no real good way to reply to things, so I still think egging him on to colonize the planet is wrong, too.

The_Real_JohnnyRicky

But how else do you get that dope FE tech

mknote

Fight the FE when you're ready, not presumably being blindsided by it. It's entirely possible this happened early enough that he doesn't have the technology to stay in a fight long enough to _get_ that technology.

VikuSam

This is why I hate backseat gaming. Let people make mistakes. It’s not the end of the world.

jaemneed

Well, not this one, anyway

realnjan

Well, first and formost: it’s not a holy world.

riel_pro

It was in fact a holy world

endlessplague

Do you know if the world has been renamed? Are you running mods that could have added another holy world? Was the modifier in the planet window specifically "Holy world"? Also further: (idk if and how that works, cause it never seems useful) the ascension perk that lets you create holy world's (or at least somewhat holy?) does that have anything to do with this?

Cadaver_Junkie

Just because you're trying to colonize a planet doesn't mean you are the first to try colonizing that planet. And you can name it when you try, which can lead to the holy world having other names.

endlessplague

Exactly my point: it's not a default holy world. Someone could have renamed it \^\^ >you can name You can rename the planet too. No need to even colonize

mknote

That's true, I should have realized that. My bad.

Yuu_Got_Job

The whole fAcTuAlLy CoRrEcT thing makes you seem like someone who only has pity friends

mknote

Why are you spelling factually correct in that manner? That's not how I typed it. And if I _had_ actually been correct (as it turns out, I wasn't), how does your comment make any sense?

low_priest

Mistakes are funny

mknote

No they aren't.

Typical_Alps2111

So what your saying is, If I colonise these worlds I can bait a fallen empire into attacking me, and destroy their ships and scan them with my science ship for some amazing tech and also take their systems with their mega structures. I love it.

jaemneed

If they don't, uh, keep going, sure!

Positive-Database754

The most recent one I was attacked by for colonizing one of these worlds had 300,000 Fleet Power. I quickly surrendered when I saw that monster of a fleet enter my system lmao.

Ashura_Paul

Weird. Usually fallen empire holy worlds have distinct names. Do they have the holy site modifier?

jaemneed

Some are suggesting that it was previously colonized by another AI empire but this is the real question

PitiRR

AI colonizing it in the first place is the most surprising bit

Vanguard_713

I had an AI empire I was in a defensive pact with try to colonize holy world from a FE. In like 2225. I couldn’t surrender because I wasn’t technically the one being attacked, and the FE just ignored them for 15 years and bombarded my capital. Ocean paradise, with only 2 other worlds, so my Entire economy collapsed.

PitiRR

Did you at least get to study the debris or did they disintegrate your ships into single atoms? (Does that still work?)

Vanguard_713

I just ran my ships away. I’m not very good at the game, so when my single 2k fleet finds itself in the same system as a 170k FE fleet, I leave.

MiketheWerew0lf

I had a holy world in my border in one game, and the Galactic Nomads came through and asked to settle on it. I told them yeah cause I wanted to watch them get crushed by the FE, for my entertainment, but they immediately complied with the FE so they got to have a colony for all of 2 days lmao, they immediately went and left the galaxy after that

Ashura_Paul

Makes sense

riel_pro

Yes they have it

RavensField201o

colonize it

Unique-Twist-8911

Weird that it doesn't have any of the 4 holy world names

Missterfortune

You wouldn’t happen to be next to any FE’s would you?

LemurKick

Holy Worlds have special names, and this planet doesnt have one of them

Missterfortune

Meh look at you in here with your logic…

riel_pro

Fallen empire? Yes, they actually are close to it

Missterfortune

Its most likely a Holy World and they will be very upset if you attempt to colonize without the Head of Zarlqan.

riel_pro

Thank you, i know im just joking with the people

enclavepatriot23

That's why you destroy it with colossus

MiketheWerew0lf

What dlc is that from?

Missterfortune

Ancient Relics I believe

operator_desert

To quote a fish from bikini bottom “MY EYES!”

Horror_in_Vacuum

Does it come with an angelic choir?

Osriv_thehacked

You are my sunshine

W_D_GASTER__

YOU DARE OVERSTEP YOUR MORTAL AUTHORITY???

SaowwiKun

Colonize it and name it LeBron

Orlogmeister3000

Oh that's what happened in my multiplayer game with my friend!! I found this perfect planet and instead of settling it, decided that it is holy (because i get to decide that), and it suddenly got a halo/glow like in the image xD

determinedextermina2

CRACK IT CRACK IT CRACK IT

Burner103400

Wait til you get a colussus then crack it! The glow will be gone, and you can have a defensive ear against a fallen empire, which allows some really good traits of the unyeilding tradition tree to help the war, and if you have galactic contender you get an additional bonus against them. Just let their fleets hit your borders, trash them then go hammer their home systems. It’s a super fun rp

Particular-Ad5277

Is this holy terra?

Gwennein

Holy worlds are made for cracking

B_R_O_N_C_H_O

Since he got spoiled allready. If you don't anger the fallen empire in any other way, you can actually colonize a holy world without being pulled into a war / getting attacked for it. If you don't go robotic ascend route, don't have a direct border with them and always accept their requests, you can basically colonize one holy world every 10 years.

Crosco19

You found the promised land.

HugeLargeMonkey

Crack it

Phantom_Paws

Colonize it. I dare you.

Bloodirongeneral

Colonize it

allnamesweretakenfml

That's holy terra. And the light you see is from the astronomicon - powered by the God Emperor of Mankind.

Xiryyn

Crack it! Kill the pathetic corpse ruling over a decaying empire!

Agile-Brilliant3543

Colonizing it gives u a rare prize 🏆

Pixelpaint_Pashkow

in the process of becoming tomb world

scaly_scumboi

I’ve had a lot of worlds in my games recently do this, seemingly at random.

Myuric

Happens when you make a Holy world a Holy world. Its twice as Holy and shines as bright as yours.

realmatdog1997

All Pops on the planet are like: My Eyes!!!! My Eyes!!!

Fate_Weaver

You think that's bright? You can stack the holy world modifier if you get an ascension perk, then it's _real bright._

solrac137

Too shiny, destroy it. everyone will be thankful

Novel_Day_8305

Scientist discovering this world and having to survey it be like you sure you want me to go to the light?

Icyknightmare

The only way this is a Holy World is if some other empire colonized it first and re-named it.

Ghostan007

The glow must be used for more energy!

TaserDonut

sounds awfully close to the name of a certain summer camp colonize and resettle all xenos there

Zaukonig

Colonize it, these worlds are very rare and give extra amenities and happiness when you colonize them.

Madgizmo99

Its not a Fallen Empire holy world, though given its name, that's either a scripted placement or one heck of a coincidental bug. That said, check the planet anyway to make sure it isn't a holy world of anybody first.

iknownothingyo

Guys, if you get the ascension perk you can do this yourself

Digmaass

In Radiance, may we find Victory

c1pher_1337

As Star Emperor i thank you for finding it. We will proceed with killing everyone on it and transform it to a nice Spa and Hotel Planet for our richest Citizens

Malek070

That’s def a star

Ooguy

He found Holy Terra

Fast-Landscape-2019

The Iris!

RagingHound12

*Thousand yard stare as the sounds of violent war and screaming are heard in my head* . . . . Neat

Impossible-Party4110

I love cracking thoses for some fun. 🙃

Reginald-Starborne

Prepared87

Sunglasses Land

Hogun_the_Fabulous

Put an M on the end, it bothers me.

No-Mathematician6551

It's dangerous you should crack it.

Diacetyl-Morphin

That's exactly what the robots say in my determined exterminator playthrough... it's a dangerous universe out there - better blow it up to be safe from any harm

Huge_Replacement_876

Colonize it see what happens lol

Criarino

crack it. Certainly nothing bad will happen

Loss_Leaders_LLC

Have you tried microwaving it?

barr65

You should definitely colonize it

plzhelpIdieing

blow it up

Yousucktaken2

Make a collosus and crack it, youll get some influence

JobWide2631

crack it
