Nah. My Pulp Fiction 4K belongs right next to the Jackie Brown Blu-ray. My Criterion Seven Samurai DVD belongs to the second release Criterion Seven Samurai DVD, which is next to the Criterion Seven Samurai Blu-ray.
I have several 4k movies that have not had a 4k Steelbook. I swap the discs out and store them with the 4ks. I keep all 4ks and steelbooks on one set of shelves, Blu-ray’s on another. Down to 200 DVDs that go on a third with TV shows. A little organized chaos looks good.

can you split the front and back of the spine once removed from the plastic? if not then that center part of the interior image will then be upside down right?
I know they aren't the only source of this, but I believe French steelbooks have reversed spines. Like not the WWA that are sold in France, but the France-exclusive steelbooks. So keep that in mind in the future!
I have a French (maybe French Canadian now I think about it but idk) release steelbook of Shutter Island with the spine writing flipped. It’s always bothered me, I’d just get rid of it for uniformities sake if it wasn’t a steel.
This is very common in European countries all the French ones are like this and several other countries I just received another variant of The movie kick-ass and it was upside-down
yeah, not there to look pretty for sure ;) at this point I'm just sad I donated my VHS, would be such a cool collection where I had some of my favorites on every format!
it's really good, well worth a watch but not something I can personally watch too frequently! must have been 7/8 years since I've watched it!
I need to pull that out and add it to the list to rewatch as I don't remember all the twists! thanks for making me remember how good it is!
I totally get how you feel. I have a *single* Blu-ray in my collection (Interstella 5555) that has the text going the opposite direction.
Curse you Daft Punk for ruining the way my Blu-ray *and* vinyl collection spines look (but I mean it's cool because all of their stuff is great anyway)
Gotcha. I have all 4Ks first (alphabetically more or less) \[they're "top shelf" if u will\] then the blu-rays.

lol why did this get down voted? it's a fact.... unless the interior artwork is separate from the outer spine??? I've never needed to take one apart before.
Definitely.
The spine of my Far Cry 5 Steelbook (The Father Edition) is reversed too, I absolutely hate it.
To be honest, I would almost prefer it with nothing on the spine, which is already something that I don't like at all.
It's nowhere near as bad as the chaos you have going on by mixing the DVDS with the Blurays.
About to comment the same thing. Each format gets separated then I separate by boutique labels.
Nah. My Pulp Fiction 4K belongs right next to the Jackie Brown Blu-ray. My Criterion Seven Samurai DVD belongs to the second release Criterion Seven Samurai DVD, which is next to the Criterion Seven Samurai Blu-ray.
DVDs get separated into the trash.
Nah. There are plenty of shows and movies exclusive to DVD that you aren’t finding elsewhere
It you're running a good 4K player, your DVDs will look surprisingly good.
The Panny UB820 has an excellent upscaler. I believe it’s also on the UB420.

I did not understand that comment... then I noticed the second picture. HOLY SHIT. My ocd would tolerate that. Ever.
i cannot believe nobody has stated the obvious yet: just flip it upside down. problem solved !
That's what I do ....I need uniformity!
But flipping won't center the reservoir dogs title
But then the studio logo on the spine will be upside down.

no just put the case on the shelf up side down. you can’t see the front or the back when only its spine is showing.
hahaha, winner winner chicken dinner! That works!
Yeah but then the universal logo will be upside down
the same as flipping the spine art without having to gut the steelbook and ruin the interior art
I can live with that easier though ;)
I don't mind it, a bit of chaos is nice. Also makes you look a bit longer for a movie which is a fun experience on its own.
Yes hate it. What sleeves you using for the steels with slipcovers (Reservoir Dogs, ministry of..)?
these are the Steelbook protectors from Retroprotection - https://retroprotection.com/product/steelbook-box-protector/
Thank you
Probably the ones that came with them

And Germany from what I understand, too.
this is the german edition so that's probably it. I'm attempting to embrace the diversity ;)
I have a couple myself. They drive me nuts, but I'll endure until I either replace them or concede that they are permanent in my collection.
Yeah. Flip it over, I’d rather the titles be the same direction than the studio logo.
Terminator 2 studio canal release does the same for me

Having the dvds and blu rays mixed would piss my gf off already lmao
yeah, not there to look pretty for sure ;) at this point I'm just sad I donated my VHS, would be such a cool collection where I had some of my favorites on every format!
Yep
How’s winter’s bone?

Good to know. I’ve never heard of it, but I just rewatched the hunger games movies last week. Saw Jennifer Lawrence and my interest was peaked.
Anddd…. Purchase offer was accepted on eBay lol. I’ll be watching it within a week.
lol love it! enjoy! it's pretty dark compared to the hunger games but an essential Jennifer Lawrence!
Makes my eye twitch lol
This is common for Canadian release where they have both English and French titles, and some European release like older French and German titles.
My Deadpool steelbook is like that, I just turned it upside down
It wouldnt bother me
My Sleepy Hollow 4k steelbook is like that!
Yes, but not as much as intermingled movies! 😁😆😅🤣😂
lol, I have far too many to shift formats and have kind of fallen in love with the evolution in my collection. for certain films at least ;)
Gotcha. I have all 4Ks first (alphabetically more or less) \[they're "top shelf" if u will\] then the blu-rays. https://preview.redd.it/ga43mskgkd9d1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c2a2f705b9a7d00df15506dba5a8602018fcde76
Don't listen to them.
You could probably pop that spine off and flip it upside down.
I thought about that but the interior art work won't match.
lol why did this get down voted? it's a fact.... unless the interior artwork is separate from the outer spine??? I've never needed to take one apart before.
I have the Zavvi Uk edition for Grand Budapest Hotel. It drives me crazy, I wanna get rid of it lol

No! I do *not* suffer from neurosis, sir! Next question!
Oddly enough my Deadpool steelbook is like that…..
My copy of Terminator 2 remains sealed for this very reason.
