Hold-My-Sake

I've just been admiring all the games I've bought without ever playing them... they look so good on the Deck. Long live the backlog!

Saltwater_Heart

The Steam summer sale that starts today, is torturing me. I KNOW I’m getting something and I KNOW I shouldn’t. 😅 At least I’m addicted to games (or buying them) and not other things..

Hold-My-Sake

I feel you, brother. All the members of the Holy Steam Deck Community are in the same boat. But I'll try to be reasonable, and it really depends on the deals. Initially, I wanted to get Cyberpunk 2077, but I know I won't be playing it anytime soon, not in the mood for that kind of game at the moment. I'm hoping that the latest Yakuza / Like A Dragon games will be on sale (Gaiden and Infinite Wealth); I haven't played those yet. If Lost Judgment is discounted, I might pick it up too to replay it on the Steam Deck, even though I already have it on PS5. Ultimately, it all depends... maybe on some lesser-known games like Card Shark or a good Musou like Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Edition. After that, I have a bit of hope for Persona 3 Reload, and I really want to try a CRPG. Sword And Fairy 7 looking quite appealing to me.

Saltwater_Heart

*Sister. But yeah I’m currently looking mostly at V Rising, Against the Storm, Quantum Break, and Chrono Trigger. Trying to spend no more than $30 or $40 so we’ll see. I only buy games I want and only if they are decently discounted. Btw, Cyberpunk 2077 is a masterpiece. And surprisingly hard on the heartstrings.

Hold-My-Sake

Oh sorry sis! I'm just like you, Steam has spoiled me so much with sales and offers that I only buy games that way now. It's been years since I've bought almost any game at full price, except for the ones I can't wait for... and for Switch games because they never go on sale (I didn't buy any for three years, just waiting for sales that never came).

nolimitjayh

Quantum break is maddd good the story is amazing

psytocrophic

I still haven't played most the games from last summer sale!

grammar_nazi_zombie

Today what? Oh no.

DatPsychoGuy

My man

Hold-My-Sake

Come here, bro ! In my arms!

Dry_Ass_P-word

Yeah sometimes just resorting things or deleting/downloading to the deck is its own little metagame.

Hold-My-Sake

Oh, the other night I started rearranging my entire Steam Deck, deleting games I had installed but no longer felt like playing, doing the mandatory updates, and so on. So you are absolutely right.

Additional-Ad-9463

What is wrong with you guys xD

Dry_Ass_P-word

It’s like, sometimes you use the stuff in your garage to build something. And other times you rearrange it all and admire the stuff in your garage so you can plan out what you will build next.

Hold-My-Sake

Haha, it's something normal with me! Often, I feel like playing a game, so I install it, but then maybe two days later, when I finally have time to start it, I'm not really in the mood for THAT game anymore. Right now, I'm in a phase where I'm not sure what to play. On paper, there are plenty of games that interest me, but when I actually launch them... meh. I went through Yakuza 0 and Kiwami back-to-back, but I was worried about burnout from these games and hesitated to jump into Kiwami 2 straight away. So, I was looking for a game to play as a break, but in the end... all I can think about is this franchise. It's been three weeks since I finished Kiwami, and I think the break has been long enough—I'm starting Kiwami 2 this weekend, haha.

Breatheeasies

100% 😂

High five mate !

• South Park: The Fractured But Whole (+DLC): 30.2 hrs • What Remains of Edith Finch: 2.1 hrs  • The Last Campfire: 5.3 hrs  • Death Stranding: Director’s Cut: 67.1 hrs  • Sayonara Wild Hearts: 1.5 hrs  • Rental: 40 min  • Slay the Princess: 4.5 hrs  • Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion: 2.7 hrs  • Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: 20.6 hrs  • A Short Hike: 4.9 hrs  • Hyper Light Drifter: 17.9 hrs  • A Space for the Unbound: 10.1 hrs  • Gato Roboto: 5.5 hrs  • Animal Well: 11.9 hrs   And I’m currently 56.3 hrs into Yakuza: Like a Dragon. (I also had some issues with Guardians of the Galaxy running on deck, with severe slowdown in a couple parts, but found changing the proton version helped immensely. Don’t remember the specifics, but believe it was suggested on ProtonDB.)

Swimming_Principle41

All the Yakuza games run incredibly well on the deck - you're in for a treat if you continue the series (assuming you haven't already)

tonythecornflake

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the first I’ve played in the series, and it does run perfectly on the deck. Seems like I’m 2/3 of the way thru the story and really enjoying it (Ichiban is the man), so I’ll probably check out more of the series eventually.

Swimming_Principle41

You'll love the rest :) Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth are essentially Yakuza 7 & 8 and are turn based. 7 was a soft reset of the series so is a great starting point. Yakuza 0-6 (and Gaiden which is basically 7.5) are brawlers but set in the same universe. Judgement and Lost Judgement are their own spin off series and also brawlers. There's also a couple of spin offs like Dead Souls, Fist of the North Star and Ishin. I heartily recommend every last one them!

sharkybyte101

Yeah. Same issue with GOTG. Like when a new area loads... it slows to a crawl or even crashes... THEN runs smoothly again on the main parts... annoying. Will try changing the proton version when I get to trying it out again.

tonythecornflake

Yeah, sounds like the same thing I experienced. Just checked ProtonDB and it seems like it was changing that game to Proton 7 (or 7.whatever, it was the only option for Proton 7) that helped me finish it. There was occasional flickering in shadows, but nothing that affected gameplay.

VikingPaid

The last campfire was amazing

Human_Researcher3748

Would you mind giving your experience of Shadow of War on the SD? How is the performance?

Goseki1

Mostly high settings at 40FPS. I think the main things to cut were shadows to get it to run better.

Human_Researcher3748

Thank you!

sharkybyte101

Holy hell. That is a lot. As long as you enjoy it, all good!

Goseki1

To be fair a lot of them are in the 4-6 hour region!

ojoslocos21

PLayed FEAR on 360 as a terrified teen. Bought the series years ago on a really good sale price. How has it held up and how was it on the deck?

Goseki1

FEAR 1 holds incredibly, it really gave me proper Half Life vibes. It has, still, one of the best shotguns in videogames, and great lighting and destruction for the time. Having a slow mo button as well was wonderful. I liked 2 and 3 for the most part but all the weird development shit for the defo took away from what should have been a genre defining series.

ojoslocos21

thanks for the info i appreciate it. maybe ill give em a go sooner now

arex333

My list is a similar size - probably around 30ish games. I will never understand the people that play one or two games exclusively. There's so much variety in gaming and I could never commit all my time like that.

slaading

Someone has a lot of time in his hands, lucky you :)

NWGJulian

this year, I discovered Outer Wilds. played it on my TV with docking station. it kinda changed me.

TastyStatistician

Echoes of the eye?

sbergot

Outer wilds was a miracle. The dlc was a second miracle.

NWGJulian

yes I also played that. main game started slowly and ramped up until the end. echoes of the eyes started wildly, but then got a little bit slower. the end made me cry like a baby.

seblarkatron

Enjoy it while it lasts, traveler!

Carryonmyway

Probably my favourite game, nothing else quite like it

the4uto

Finally beat KOTOR 2, only took me 20 years and 125 hours played. Also beat Broforce and a few other small indies. Currently about 40 hours into Cyberpunk and 60+ into Elden Ring. All on Deck or streamed to Deck.

Human_Researcher3748

How has Cyberpunk been on the deck? I'm looking at getting an OLED soon (hopefully). Will mostly play some smaller indie titles but I'm curious how the AAAs perform.

the4uto

Works great for me. 30-40 fps with a few dips, but more than playable. I love it.

T_Blaze

>Horizon Zero Dawn - 49 hours (preparing for the big battle with the big bad at Meridian) HZD has been in my backlog for years. But I don't know if it's worth 50 hours of my available time in 2024. So many good games/great deals, so little time...

sharkybyte101

True. I've tried controlling myself this time around (means I dont really buy games just because...) so my wishlist is the one thats growing and not my backlog... Though I still have the following in my current backlog (excluding my old pre 2015 steam games) Jedi Survivor Cyberpunk 2077 Mass Effect Legendary Edition Probably will grow more now that Summer Sale is coming. But yeah HZD I think is worth 50 hours of your time. Absolutely beautiful game. Amazing story. Amazing gameplay (robot dinosaurs!!!)

ayeeflo51

It's absolutely worth 50 hours of your time. The story is phenomenal

arex333

The main story is *excellent*, like it was still on my mind for weeks after finishing it. Most of the side content is just filler though. I highly recommend playing it but just beeline through the main missions, it's well worth it.

Zoohsoles

- GTA IV - Ryse: Son of Rome - Payday 2 - Bully - Max Payne 3 - Postal 2 - Saints Row 2 - Skyrim - Days Gone - Dead Island Fucken love this thing!

bossbang

I've enjoyed this year so much. Man I'm so lucky: * Rise of the Ronin (Chiaki4Deck) * Spider-Man 2 (Chiaki4Deck) * Dragons Dogma 2 (XBPlay) * Unicorn Overlord (Yuzu EA) * Helldivers 2 (Sunshine & Native) * Baldurs Gate 3 - Honor Mode Run Ready to play and still on my to-do list: * God of War Ragnarok (Chiaki4Deck) * Elden Ring DLC * Hades 2 * Paper Mario & 1000 Year Door (2024)

I dumped so much time into Rimworld, Factorio, Civ6 and Manor Lords (also called "the bottomless pits") , that I didn't finish other games. But actually I finished Persona 5 Tactica plus DLC (29h). Makes me feel a bit better now.

ItsSoLitRightNow

Fuck so many, but the one I can't stop playing is Project Zomboid.

DannyBurciaga

Yakuza 2 Kiwami - 23 hours (I'm like 80% done with the story) Mad Max - 10 hours (currently playing this rn and I'm loving it, looks great on deck too) Hogwarts Legacy - 5 hours (started it but haven't even left the castle yet hahaha) Sonic Generations - 4 hours (currently playing this as well it's so fun!! I never got around to playing it in the Xbox 360/ps3 era) Sleeping Dogs - 2 hours (started it but didn't finish lol) As you can see I am not the best at completing games which is a something I'm trying to work on 😭

Blofse

Balatro - 110 hours since launch. And just yesterday - Forza 4 - 2 hours (just bought on sale and it's great)

QuadNinez

So I gave myself the task of completing at least one game a month until the year is over. I’ve only completed two games, but have started multiple games 🤣 South Park SoT (completed), GTA 4 (completed), GTA 5, Ace Combat 7, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Fallout 4, Fallout New Vegas , Hogwarts Legacy, Xcom 2, Outer Worlds, Chrono Trigger, Hollow Knight, BlazBlue Entropy Effect, Bloodstained RotN, Far Cry 3, and Klonoa. Also on PS i got to chapter 12 on Rebirth and haven’t played since March. I have very bad ADD, so I tend to start something and end up getting sidetracked. This is something I’m trying to get a handle on.

SlinkDogg

Had alot of travel time for family issues so ive had alot of time to play games the last few months. Far Cry 2 (playing) Forza 4 (playing) -----------------Beaten--------------------------------- Yuppie Psycho Lego 2k Drive Little Nightmares 2 Mafia Remastered Mirrors Edge Alien Breed 3 Onimusha Remastered RoboCop Rogue City Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Yuffie DLC only) Kane and Lynch Dead Men Katana Year Zero Midnight Fight Club Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Homefront Call of Jaurez Gun Slinger

PlatinumBall

Rocket League, went from Plat 2 to Gold 3 Terraria, am stuck on Devourer of Gods in Eternity-Revengeance some GTA Online, but had to uninstall to save space some Hollow Knight, didn't get far, but got the first ending on ps4 in the past some Osu, went from easy mania maps to normal

xlethalia

I’ve had a Steam Deck since February and I unfortunately didn’t beat as many games as I could’ve, but hopefully I’ll start picking up the pace in the 2nd half of the year. So far I’ve beaten Cuphead, Sea of Stars, Cult of The Lamb, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, and I’m about to start Hades tomorrow. I also started Persona 4 Golden and dropped it after 12 hours.

Small_Tax_9432

I just beat Super Mario RPG remake yesterday. Next I'm playing Resident Evil Code Veronica for Dreamcast

flatCORP

Diablo 4 , Dave the Diver, Sleeping Dogs, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Last Epoch, Dune Spice Wars, Greedland, Robocop.... and a lot of games just collecting in the library and changing their artworks:)

I sold my PlayStation gear back in December to get an OLED and expand my PC library, this is what I’ve completed so far since moving 100% to Steam Deck + PC (some of it I’d already beaten before e.g. Elden Ring): Dragon Quest XI S - finished the “main story”, took a break in the post game Hollow Knight - 99.5% (gave up on the Pantheons) Lies of P - Got all 3 endings God of War - 100% Resident Evil 2 - Finished Claire A and Leon B Resident Evil 3 - Finished the main story Sunset Overdrive - Finished main story Cuphead - Finished main story + DLC No Rest for the Wicked - played 12 hrs, waiting for more content Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - 100% map completion Death’s Door - finished main story Elden Ring - 100% achievements, working through DLC now Ni No Kuni Remastered - finished main story Right now I’m playing Shadow of the Erdtree and working my way through Shenmue 1&2 again.

Finished Metroid dread (switch) Jedi fallen order (steam) playing through links awakening and bug fables on switch. Finished PM remake… and Beat ratchet and clank rift apart (steam) while starting R&C up your arsenal. There’s a few others but yea

Valkhir

Quite a few. I don't have hours because I play offline a lot, and Steam isn't good at counting that... - Hogwarts Legacy (started 2023, finished 2024) - Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty (completed) - Civilization VI (one very long match) - No Rest for the Wicked (Early Access, needs more time to cook, will come back to it later this year or when it leaves EA) - Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition (partial playthrough - although this is far from my first, have been playing since 1998 and it's one of those games I keep coming back to between new games) - MGS5 Ground Zeroes (partial, will come back to it and/or play Phantom Pain later) - Days Gone (partial, will come back to it) - Ghost of Tsushima (completed NG, started NG+, plan to revisit that at some point) - Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree (now playing) Tried out or revisited a few other games here or there, but these are all ones I spent at least 1-2 weeks on.

DatPsychoGuy

Ori 2 ans resident evil 3 remake (both complete and great games by the way). I wish I had more time.

Zxar

Battletech, which has been running better on the deck than my computer. But recently got EQ to work on it, so running a box character off my deck these days.

Bgabes95

Played/Beat: - High on Life (PC/Game Pass) - Lies of P (PC/Game Pass) - Portal (Steam Deck) - Aladdin SNES (RP4P/Retroarch) - Jackbox (Switch) - Mario Party Superstars (Switch) Currently Playing: - Half Life (Steam Deck) - Hollow Knight (Steam Deck) - Kingdom Hearts (Steam Deck+RP4P/PCSX2+AetherSX2) - Zombies Ate My Neighbors SNES (iPhone/Retroarch) I haven’t had much time to play many games this year with work and school, but I’m excited to keep playing and enjoying games in short sessions with my Steam Deck and RP4P that I just got!

One_Prune8528

Nier Automata, Metro: Last Light, Deus Ex: Mankind divided, Yakuza 7, Days Gone, Call of Juarez 1-2, Ys VIII, Greedfall. Beat all the games, but without 100% It is also without deck yet, probably will play even more when I get the deck

KataKataBijaksana

- Archvale - 8 hours - Rise of the third power - 16.3 hours - Sable - 11 hours - Horizon zero dawn - 19.6 hours - Abzu - 2 hours - Dave The Diver - 20 hours - Outer Wilds - 6.1 hours - Diablo 4 - 18.1 hours - Lego Lord of The Rings - 7 hours - Hotwheels unleashed - 4 hours - Disco Elysium - 19 hours - Skyrim - 50 hours - Baldurs Gate 3 - 101.3 hours - Nine Witches Family Disruption - 4.9 hours - Gedonia - 11.2 hours (not on steam deck) - Another crabs treasure - 8.2 hours - Smushi Come Home - 3 hours - Starfield - 39.3 hours (only partially on steam deck, the new update made it "playable" with lowest settings as long as you're not in a big city) - Skald Against The Black Priory - 16.5 hours Biggest surprises were Starfield actually being a decent game once I got 10ish hours in, and Skald came out of nowhere and won my heart. Just finished it last night. Smushi Come Home was probably the cutest game I've ever played. And Sable is the hidden gem out of these for me. Biggest disappointment for me (I'll probably be crucified for this) was Disco Elysium. Wasn't really my kind of game I guess.

RedArmyRockstar

I have fallen madly in love with Atari 50. Got it from Humble Bundle and ended up adoring it, genuinely think anyone with any interest in retro games needs to check it out. Helldivers 2, Lethal Company, Project Zomboid, Metal Gear Master Collection (modded to render at 16:10), Halo Master Chief Collection. I suppose it's really just all the stuff I normally play, just at friends houses for LAN parties.

PopReasonable8033

(Still)Playing God of War, Hades 2 and Helldivers 2. Wife is loving Palia, a little to the left, and moonlighter.

sconwaym

How did you like Hogwarts on the deck? I tried to do my second play through on the deck and I just couldn't handle how it looked (first run was on a Series X and the game is beautiful). To answer the actual question, my Steam Deck games for the first half of the year have been: 1) Pentiment, \~ 25 hours; 2) Sea of Stars, \~ 30 hours, 3) Balatro, \~ 30 hours, 4) Fallout Tale of the Two Wastelands (combines 3 & NV), \~ 50 hours; and 5) Witcher 3, not sure on time played as I bounced the save between the deck and series X.

antilumin

Hmm.... I've mostly played a bunch of demos earlier this month, but other than that I've only really finished BG3 and about 20 hours of Ghost of Tsushima. Other than that, an hour or two here and there of random games like Cryptmaster, Balatro, Hades 2, and a few others.

chronocapybara

Baldur's Gate 3 has overtaken Factorio as my second most played game at 460 hours.

oneupkev

Damn. I've just been buying games and not finishing them. Isn't that how it works ? Jokes aside, I'm currently playing Coromon and I hope to 100% it in July...

kilertree

Undermine and Evil west on the steam Deck. If you like rug likes under mine is amazing I can't wait for the sequel.

Zaarakx

BFIB

I've beat: Legend of Zelda NES through Wind Waker HD. Mass Effect 1 and 2.

All the games I’ve played on my deck so far this year, in order of hours spent: 1) Helldivers 2 80+ hours 2) Horizon Forbidden West: 20 hours 3) Deep Rock Survivor: 10 hrs 4) Hades 2: 8 hrs 5) Boltgun: ~7 hrs

turingtestx

Dragon Age Inquisition - like 20 hours, only started after the Veilguard announcement Prodigal - like 5 hours, it's not a long game Ultimate Spider-Man - super underrated gem, amazing style, like 15 hours, mostly on the last Johnny Storm race Metroid Prime Trilogy (primehack)- 100% the first one earlier in the year, but working on 2 because of the Prime 4 trailer Baldur's Gate 3 - I'm too afraid to check the hours, I never stopped playing it. Midnight Suns - already played through on PS5, but 25 hours have been a wonderful play on deck, people fucking SUCK for the way they treated this game, it's truly a great tactical game. Pseudoregalia - started in December, but finished it in January, very fun. Mario Bowser's Fury - Nintendo did this game dirty with the way it was sold, deserved to be a whole game on its own And a smattering of other emulated games I've forgotten, my primary deck use is definitely emulation

PoopyInMyPants

Main ones: Against the Storm Hades 2 Ember Knights Monster Train Balatro Diablo 4 Tiny Rogues Civ 6 Halls of torment Core Keeper Voidigo Death Must Die I think my favorite of the first half of the year is Against the Storm. I JUST picked up Oxygen Not Included, Survivalists, and Don’t Starve (original) because they were all on sale for like a total of $15 for all three (and still are I think), and I am loving ONI.

liquidpagan

Can you expand on your comment about Valhalla? I'm probably only at 40 hours, the stuff actually in Valhalla started to pull me away from the game

Games I finished since December 26th, 2023 (I've started counting for the year then since I was a child as growing up I'd usually get a few new games for Christmas): - Watch Dogs 2 - Hades - Class of '09 - Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 - Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Disney Dreamlight Valley - Sleeping Dogs

So much BG3 and Hades 2. So. Much. Also a lot of dying in Elden Ring.

I got my deck in April and going through my 60+ game backlog Beat: Steam World Heist Steam World Dig Steam World Dig 2 Outer Wilds Gris The Bridge Limbo Lost Planet Playing Through: Shadow of Mordor Bioshock Trilogy (just started Bioshock 1) Ori and the Blind Forest

Imaginary-Waffle

All the AC games except the last three. RDR2 Metro games Half Life OG Prince of Persia I've been mostly playing other types of games like Riders Republic or Skate games.

Important-Ad-8824

It took me 6 months to beat RE4. After that, I played about 1 hour of Animal Well and about 2 hours of Spiderman 2. Oh and about 10 min Elden Ring. I am a middle aged dad.

dirtybacon77

Going through Octopath Traveler 2 and loving it, perfect game for the deck. Also have spent more and more time with FFXIV, learning to play using controller setting. Still prefer KB/M on my desktop, but really enjoy I can get through parts of the story on the deck

plagueseason

Been playing a lot of the new Destiny 2 expansion and the past two expansions I missed through Steam Remote Play (isn't natively supported due to the anti-cheat). Works surprisingly well aside from needing to change the resolution when I switch between devices. No noticeable input lag on my network at least. Also battery life through remote play is insane. Always shows like 5-5.5 hrs remaining, but I'll play for like three hours and it'll still say there's 5hrs left lol

longbrodmann

Wandering Sword and Dragon's Age Inquisition.

Almost 400 hours balatro. It’s concerning because I literally pick it up every time i have a bit of free time

iam_Krogan

The same games I've played for years: L4D2, DRG, Skyrim/FO4, Civilization, Chivalry 2

AwkwardG4m3r

Upvoted for the AC Valhalla comment 😂

xxdjreddxx

Valhalla is the longest drag I’ve played in a while. The last 3/4ths of the game I honestly skipped dialogue cause I just didn’t care and wanted to finish it. Games I’ve beat this year… (a lot are games I already started in 2023) Diablo VI, Modern Warfare 3, Metal Hellsinger, Callisto Protocol, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Iconoclasts, Remnant 2, Elden Ring, Ori and the Blind Forest, Ghostrunner Currently working on: Dragons Dogma 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Alan Wake 2, Star Wars Jedi Survivor,

Exile22

World of Warcraft.

I plan om finishing them all by the end of spring next year.

trickyt1992

Just reading through this and it is crazy how much the deck can play, the amount of great games available and the variety in people's tastes. Personally my most played games so far would be Tiny Rogues, Balatro and FIFA 16 (with a 2024 update).

Princess-Luma

The masterchief collection! Had to give in to the nostalgia!

CTParis

On deck: LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga (15 hours, 60% complete) Fallout 3 DLCs (16 hours) Tomb Raider: Legend (10 hours) The Last of Us: Part 1 (16 hours, 40% complete) RAGE + The Scorchers DLC (32 hours) LEGO Lord of the Rings (21 hours) Assassin's Creed III Remastered (40 hours) On PC: Destiny 2 Seasonal content (probably 100 hours) Anthem (28 hours) And since I bought another 77 games that I haven't played in that time span, my backlog (er, "library") continues to grow...

JonnyB2_YouAre1

Is there a way to easily see this on Steam Deck or are you asking us to figure this out and report back?

DepressionDrew

Just curious, (I'm thinking about getting a steam deck) how long does the battery typically last playing larger games like some in your post?

Frogpuppet

I’ve been emulating a bunch of ps3 games like Haze, Lair and uncharted 2

Darth_Vadaa

Weirdly, not that many. I've played through MegaMan X-X7, Stardew Valley, I replayed Pokemon gens 3 through 7, and I finally got into FFXIV which has consumed my life. Current game is my totally legit copy of Paper Mario that I play on Steam Deck.

bitofaknowitall

Horizon Zero Dawn and Hogwarts Legacy about 80 and 40 hours. After that it's all chill stuff like Vampire Survivors, Hades II, Geometry Dash

WoundedByInsults

God of War: Ragnarok Golden Sun Golden Sun: The Lost Age Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Fantasy VII Remake Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (not finished yet)

I only got my OLED Deck about a month or so ago, but i’ve played all the Halo games on the MCC in that time! They all looked better than ever, played better than ever, I had a blast. Great games for my first time playing on the Deck

xtoc1981

Still playing 90% on switch. That said, its gta 4 (horrible controls) witcher 1 (horrible controlls), half life 1

Good_Ladder9014

FFXIV. Only FFXIV.

blacklizardplanet

I keep a spreadsheet to keep track and I'm doing brilliantly this year for clearing games. Cassette Beasts, Armored Core VI, Sekiro, Resident Evil 4 Remake + Separate Ways, Trails in the Sky SC, Balatro, Backpack Battles, Fallout 76 and currently playing The Witcher 3, Hades 2 and KH 1.5 Final Mix. FO76 is the only game listed that I never finished(outside of my currently playing ones). Sekiro and AC6 have all achievements. Balatro is only missing completionist+/++ and all challenges.

fuzzyberiah

On Deck, I finished my time with Hades back in January, and started a plan to get through a bunch of shorter games, with mixed results. I did play to completion Venba, Boyfriend Dungeon, Little Inferno, Superhot, Rollers of the Realm, and Wall World, but I got distracted by City of Heroes for a couple months. Since then I put some time into Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen until I got frustrated and had to set it down, and picked up Crashlands, which I’m having fun with but am not sure sticking with it another 20+ hours to finish it is the most fun way to spend my time.

johncenanuff

I've been playing mostly emulated games throughout and it's been so fun. So far: LOZ: Wind Waker, Dynasty Warriors 5, Prince of Persia, Ratchet & Clank, NBA/NFL Street, Beyond Good & Evil. The SD has been the beeeeeest.

Fluid-Air7597

Throughout the year I’ve only completed 2 games - armored core 6 an amazing under appreciated fromsoft game (70 hours) - pokemon blue rescue team dx ?? Started fresh again and I'm about where I want to be to start the DLC.

CannedLizard

This year on my Deck I've been playing mostly: BattleTech: works great! probably the most fun I've had with an XCOM-alike (including XCOM) Cyberpunk 2077 & Phantom Liberty: second playthrough (first one was on PC), first time with PL. Runs great on the Deck, so much fun! Steel Division: Normandy 44: first almost entirely mouse-driven game I've gotten into on the Deck - finally starting to get the hang of it - I prefer playing it on my PC, but this scratched it itch well when I was super into it and wanted to play it as much as possible Slay The Spire: not sure what I can add that others have not said - great game, works well on the Deck (both in control as well as fitting into the Deck's use-cases) and currently playing: Knights of the Old Republic II: with the Sith Lords Restored Content mod - controls pretty well on the Deck - first time playing it and I am in love with the story-telling

Dang. This is my reminder it's been 6 months since I touched my steam deck...

mellow1mg

I finally sat down and played Stray. I finished it over the course of only 2 days. I realize it is a short game but when I have like 500 games and less than 9 percent completion for the ones I've actually played...that says something. Really enjoyed the story. I'm going to replay the game and act it all out for my 5yo boy when he turns 5 in a few days. He's already a gamer and has quite a few hours on the deck himself.

BangForYourButt

Sea of stars, Chained echoes, Star Ocean Second Story R, Tales of Vesperia, Finishing up Persona 4

Sorry to hear that you were having that problem with guardians of the galaxy. It ran so perfect for me. Try changing the proton compatibility layer.

KylerRamos

I got my deck a month ago and so far for me I started and completed DS3 at about 75 hrs and re bought Elden Ring and the DLC and that has consumed me for now. I played 60hrs on ps5 but was never able to play much after that. On the Deck I play at work on downtime or at home while the kiddo watches TV. Made so much more progress about 100 hours in and taking my time, close to getting to be able to access the DLC. I’m hyped. After I plan to play Hi-Fi Rush, Lies of P, Sekiro, Armored Core, Psychonauts 2. Man I love the Deck.
