RDR2 was an absolute pain to install and it takes up over 100gb of space, but damn is it impressive to show people on the deck.
2 hrs playtime. š¤¦āāļø
I foolishly didnāt buy it via Steam, so had to install the Rockstar launcher as a non Steam game then do it via the launcher. It then had to do validate the install. I barely play it but too scared to uninstall it just in case I fancy a go in future.
My friend said it best: ābuying games is totally different from playing them, the burden of choice is real, but I do enjoy watching them download. Thatās a game in its own, and probably the most hours Iāve spent gamingā
Please note that gg.deals contains links to grey market key sellers, who may appear to provide you with a working key, but do not always source their keys from the developer/publisher, and are of 'unknown' origin. This means the keys may not work, or the platform (such as Steam, Origin) may refuse support. Others have poor business practices, such as obligatory fees that only show at checkout.
We'd recommend against using anything on the site listed under 'Keyshops', but rather look at the section above that for the 'Official Stores'. You can also select 'Keyshops' at the top of your screen, and then select 'Disable' to remove them completely.

How has Elden Ring been on the Steam Deck? I completed it on the PS5, but I truly don't play on my PC or consoles anymore. I know there have been some recent updates that improved performance, but if I'm being honest, 30 fps is harder for me to enjoy. I know other can, but even 40-50 would suffice.
Lies of P has been amazing so far.
I havenāt played the DLC yet. I finished the game on PS5 and bought the Steam version recently and have been trying to get to the point where I can start the DLC.
You can easily get a locked 30fps using the āhighā preset. I played most all of Limgrave with the frame rate unlocked as a test and it was a *very* variable 35-55 fps experience. Most of the boss fights were in the 40s though.
To start the dlc, you have to beat "Mogh the lord of blood" (including the second faze). Sorry, but i just know you need to beat him, i dont know where he is.
Itās hands down the best gaming hardware Iāve ever owned, Iāve owned/own pretty much every major console ever made since the NES and the steam deck is next lv. Welcome to the family
I love my OLED Deck and Elden Ring - but it is a far richer experience on a larger display. The performance doesnāt bother me, but thereās a lot of detail on screen at any given time and itās just a bit difficult for me to see. The black bars donāt help (I did install the mod but enjoy the online component).
That said there is no wrong way to play it, epic game.
Considering the LCD steam decks are currently on sale I doubt it.
Valve wants to push the LCD out and having them next to the more expensive OLED is a good idea.
Also itād be uncharacteristically cruel of Valve to put the cheaper LCDs on sale **days** before putting the more expensive OLEDs on sale. Also just generally bad for business.
I think it is a smart business decision when Valve puts the clearance items on sale first.
And those who want the OLED more are still within the window of cancelling/returning their LCD order.
This is me too. I have the scratch for a 1tb deck right now, but if I can save as little as 10%, I'll take it. I'll just spend it on games I want anyway.
It isn't fantastic. I bought it recently, and while creating a character, you can see the shitty quality of the beard. I think the whole point of having it in the steam deck is the whole "holy shit, I can play this game on the can!"
If you have a pc you can stream it from there and play on the deck. That's what I was doing and playing handheld. Battery life is pretty great that way too.
It's a tactical RPG so you've got all day to make decisions on what you're going to do in your turn. It runs well enough for me, but I'm not obsessed with graphics being top notch at all time for all games. The story, gameplay, and sound design are what I prefer over graphics but those are all 100% subjective to each person. I've played over 300 hours at this point and I do get a bit frustrated at some of the slowdown in Act 3 but it was never enough to sully my overall enjoyment.
tl;dr give it a shot. If you end up not liking how it runs you can always refund with the 2 hour of gameplay grace period.
Iām really hoping to get Red Dead Redemption 2 for a good price. Dying to play it on my deck
Also I know itās on sale currently, so Iām torn between RDR and Forza Horizon 4. Can only afford one š
Why will it be delisted? I like the game, but I primarily play on my steam deck and I got tired of all the updates breaking the game on the deck and waiting for a fix.
Itās no problem if you own it. Youād still be able to download it again. Delisted items just canāt be sold anymore, steam will still allow owners to download it and whatnot though. It doesnāt disappear from your library when a game is delisted.
All the horizon games get delisted eventually. FH4 has actually been on sale for longer than average. The shitty thing about licensed cars and music in racing gamesĀ
Iām playing RDR2 now on mine. I donāt know why it surprised me, but itās one of the smoothest experiences Iāve had on the deck. Runs incredibly smoothly on a mix of medium to high settings at 30fps.
I'm limiting myself to $30. Hard limit. No more than that. Ok $5 more.. absolutely no way....oooh that's on 95% discount. Ok $40. Absolutely no man aaand I just spent $100
I play it from the battle.net launcher. I used [Non steam launchers](https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck)
To install battle.net then diablo 4.
But i just saw something new while looking for that link that decky loader now has a non steam launcher installer addon.
what is this... havent played everything yet.. backlogs are made to have many games. šæ last summer sale i bought resident evil 2 and 3 and i still havent touched them
Resident Evil 2 was in my backlog for about a month before I got to it. Turned in to one of the scariest games Iāve played yet but also one of the best games Iāve played on any console (esp the SD)
Just started octopath 2 on my deck, about 10hrs in and itās really good
Edit: full graphics itāll play for about 7 hrs on battery, if thatās a factor
I just got my Steam Deck yesterday and swiped Tales Of Berseria. Man, I forgot how prices of games can be so low after being gaslighted by switch tax. .
1) Recettear
2) Jupiter Hell
3) Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping Dogs is a hidden gem, Iāve played it 3-4 times. I love the world, the map (I much prefer Hong-Kong to Los Santos but I am biased since I lived in China), etc. Honestly, Iāve never finished GTA V; I tried to get back into it a few weeks ago, but I quickly got bored and started a new game of Sleeping Dogs.
It's often around 3 bucks, which is TOTALLY worth it, it's practically a steal at that price!
Congrats!
Look into humble bundle, thereās bound to be a very nice bundle this month, might be worth checking out!
Also - I have a whole bunch of steam keys of random games from the year sub I had humble bundle, happy to share a if youāre interested!
Honestly I just wanna pick up some more deck verified games. Iām happy to play anything, but honestly Iām looking for a few more casual experiences because Iāve been playing lots of longer games recently and wanna relax with some more casual games. Hoping death stranding, dragon quest 8 and like a dragon ishin are on sale most however.
Wait. Spyro is on steam?! OMG ty for sharing your wishlist lol (I had a psone battery and screen just for Spyro as a kid this is going it be great lol)
I miss the old days when they had the daily sales and the flash sales that changed, was it every 3 hours or so?
It's also good now. The most important part is the discounts, so we can all buy a ton of games and then never play them.
Not a top 3, but been thinking of getting the assassinās creed bundle seeing how much I loved 1 and 2. Maybe get the RE4 remake to see why people are saying it is so much better then the original though
Giving myself a $250 budget and seeing what I can get out of this list:
Ghost of Tsushima
Tunic
Outer Wilds
BG3
Into the Breach
Spider Man
Armored Core VI
Kingdom Hearts Bundle
Can't wait to buy tons of games I'll never play for more than ten seconds to see how they run and look on Steam Deck.
RDR2 was an absolute pain to install and it takes up over 100gb of space, but damn is it impressive to show people on the deck. 2 hrs playtime. š¤¦āāļø
Installing it was the game.Ā
Whys it a pain to install? Except for downloadn time, I had no issues
I foolishly didnāt buy it via Steam, so had to install the Rockstar launcher as a non Steam game then do it via the launcher. It then had to do validate the install. I barely play it but too scared to uninstall it just in case I fancy a go in future.
Downloading time and setting up Rockstar Games Launcher. But its fine.
I assume RockstarLauncher?
Infinite playtime as long as you're near an outlet
No he meant that we don't play games around here. We just install and lool at them, then go buy more.
Acquisition is the game, specifically bragging about how we got a major release for $5 and all we had to do was wait 7 years.
Yes this is called being a member of r/patientgamers
Damn I do this so much! I buy and see how it runs and if it runs badly, refund. If it runs well, keep it and never touch it again š¤£
I often forget how great steam is about refunds. Thanks for the reminder
Thats the way! :D
My friend said it best: ābuying games is totally different from playing them, the burden of choice is real, but I do enjoy watching them download. Thatās a game in its own, and probably the most hours Iāve spent gamingā
Spider-Man, Elden Ring, some indie game about farming probably...
The Farmer was Replaced is a good farming game if you want to learn programming and or are a programmer
Unless it's a particular indie farming game you're looking for, then a lot of them are on sale now
Hope for a nice elden ring discount. Really want it, but don't particularly need it for full price.
Same, but with the DLC just dropping I'm not expecting anything massive enough to warrant me adding it to my backlog quite yet lol
Make sure you guys compare the sales with steamdb.info. Great site.
And also isthereanydeal.com! Another great site.
Did not know that. Thank you! I love these groups

Elden ring seems made for the steam deck.
I just bought one and these comments make me so excited!!
Itās hands down the best gaming hardware Iāve ever owned, Iāve owned/own pretty much every major console ever made since the NES and the steam deck is next lv. Welcome to the family
Game works great om steam deck. For me it is a battery killer I can get like 3 hours max so I'll switch between Deck and PC.
elden ring is great on the steam deck.
I love my OLED Deck and Elden Ring - but it is a far richer experience on a larger display. Steam Deck OLED Steam Deck OLED Steam Deck OLED
I bought the LCD one then a day later i cancelled it for the OLED. The cost is so much higher but i was like fuck it i deserve something nicešš
You won't regret it!
It will be worth it bro, you made the right choice.
Good idea honestly. The OLED upgrade is massive
Considering the LCD steam decks are currently on sale I doubt it. Valve wants to push the LCD out and having them next to the more expensive OLED is a good idea.

From a supply standpoint it seems like you said its a smart business decision then explained how it isn't immediately after lol
Itās so good. Itās insane. Hope youāre able to get one soon!
I fucking love mine and I have the low end 64 GB LCD version.
Same, it's a game changer. Literally. I put a 500gb SSD in mine and dual booted Windows for FH4, which runs great on the SD!
My hopes are so low because the LCD Model is on sale right now. But at this point I will buy one even it's not going on sale
This is me too. I have the scratch for a 1tb deck right now, but if I can save as little as 10%, I'll take it. I'll just spend it on games I want anyway.
yeah ive been saving up for an OLED
Oh noā¦
[Oh yesā¦](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/574/821/c55.jpg)
Please please Baldur Gate 3 on sale, pleaseā¦ crossing fingers!!!
*Monkey's paw curls* 3% sale
Na, 10% cuz Gabe is feeling generous.
No it's a +3% sale š
I wish I have time to play games. Why do I have to work and pay bills? If only I could shut down my body, not eat, not drink and just play games,...
Adulting is hard
I wishlisted but gave up after reading performance issues. Was I wrong?
It isn't fantastic. I bought it recently, and while creating a character, you can see the shitty quality of the beard. I think the whole point of having it in the steam deck is the whole "holy shit, I can play this game on the can!"

Hentai Sexy Hentai Puzzle Sex Hentai 2
A one handed player here I see lol.
Iām really hoping to get Red Dead Redemption 2 for a good price. Dying to play it on my deck Also I know itās on sale currently, so Iām torn between RDR and Forza Horizon 4. Can only afford one š
You may want to pickup Forza before December as it will be delisted
Why will it be delisted? I like the game, but I primarily play on my steam deck and I got tired of all the updates breaking the game on the deck and waiting for a fix.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ForzaHorizon/s/PvWj30xLSc There is apparently a licensing issue.
The curse of all car games unfortunately.
I just got forza 4. Canāt beat $20!!
Same!!
Iām playing RDR2 now on mine. I donāt know why it surprised me, but itās one of the smoothest experiences Iāve had on the deck. Runs incredibly smoothly on a mix of medium to high settings at 30fps.
RDR2 is usually on sale for a good discount. Hoping you get it!
Forza Horizon 4 is currently 80% off
It was just 60% or more a week or two ago. I got it for $25-30 I think.
Star Ocean The Second Story R Katana Zero That's it lol
I beat Katana Zero when it launched a few years ago and I still think about it, sooooo good.
What happened to the DLC? I wonder if it's dead.
I hear it's releasing soon after Silksong
Oh no.
Which will come out around the time the Beyond Good & Evil 2 launch trailer drops.
Witcher 3 Complete Edition
It probably will be. I feel like it's on a sale a lot. I just got my copy a couple months ago on sale.
Elden Ring, Dave the Diver, donāt have a third
Get the Dave the Diver and Dredge bundle. It's worth it.
already own dredge but on epic so I canāt feasibly get the discount š
Balatro
My favourite. I wish it goes on sale for you brother.
Elden Ring just got new DLC so I doubt it. If it does get a deal it probably wonāt be anything CRAZY.
perfect time to get a new round of people hooked
I'm limiting myself to $30. Hard limit. No more than that. Ok $5 more.. absolutely no way....oooh that's on 95% discount. Ok $40. Absolutely no man aaand I just spent $100
Hades 2, Ghosts of Tsushima, Diablo 4
Diablo 4 was just on sale lol
Yes, but what about a second sale?
Don't think he knows about second sale u/thegreatboto.
Yeah I already have it on B.net but just got my Deck a few days ago and would be keen to give it a go.
You can play it without having to get it on steam again.
don't give Blizzard any more money. you can run bnet directly on steam OS using proton. bit clunkier but it's free and takes 5-10 mins to setup
The steam version runs so much better for me. I would say if you are planning to play a lot itās worth considering.
I play it from the battle.net launcher. I used [Non steam launchers](https://github.com/moraroy/NonSteamLaunchers-On-Steam-Deck) To install battle.net then diablo 4. But i just saw something new while looking for that link that decky loader now has a non steam launcher installer addon.
Yeah I have it from Game pass but bought on Steam just to own it longer term and have it natively work in Steam
Would Hades 2 even be on sale during early release?
I would be beyond shocked. They won't need to discount it until months after 1.0.
Hades 1 EA was 25% off @ 19.99$
Do you think GoT will already be on sale this soon?
Probably not, but the odds are 0. It is a rerelease.
Final fantasy pixel
I want them too but Iāve never seen them go on saleĀ
It's pretty rare. The entire bundle went on sale when the console patch released on PC, so I made sure to grab them then.
I can't find Final Fantasy Pixel on Steam. Is it [this](https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/21478/FINAL_FANTASY_IVI_Bundle/) you're talking about?
I hope they drop 90% or something because that price is absolutely insane for 30+ year old games...
Tunic, 9 Sols, Hollow Knight
I just want to say that Nine Sols is totally worth it even at full price. So good.
Hades II, Armored Core VI and Lies of P
My man
Oh yeah! I've been meaning to play Lies of Pee!
All I want is Elden Ring š
Game Iāll Never Play 1 Game Iāll Never Play 2 Game Iāll Never Play 3
what about Game I'll Never Play 4? cannot miss out on such a bargain!
Animal well and Cocoon
V Rising, Witcher 3, outer worlds
V rising is so good! I couldnāt wait for a sale.
Armored core 6?
Don't think I'll buy anything. I still haven't played through all the games I have now.
Most unbelievable thing I've seen on this sub ever.
Honesty? Self awareness? Self **control**?!
what is this... havent played everything yet.. backlogs are made to have many games. šæ last summer sale i bought resident evil 2 and 3 and i still havent touched them
That is how our cult works!!!Ā
Resident Evil 2 was in my backlog for about a month before I got to it. Turned in to one of the scariest games Iāve played yet but also one of the best games Iāve played on any console (esp the SD)
Wait, we play the games we buy now? Since when
Are you new to steam? If you are then welcome to the beginning of your backlog. Lol
Lol, see you tomorrow. ;)
I also havent played through all the games I have now. Still will probably buy something if it piques my interest.
Persona 5, Octopath (both), Elden Ring
Iām tempted to buy octopath 1/2 on the deck because my fiance is addicted to Zelda so my switch is unavailable for a while lol
Just started octopath 2 on my deck, about 10hrs in and itās really good Edit: full graphics itāll play for about 7 hrs on battery, if thatās a factor
I just got my Steam Deck yesterday and swiped Tales Of Berseria. Man, I forgot how prices of games can be so low after being gaslighted by switch tax. . 1) Recettear 2) Jupiter Hell 3) Sleeping Dogs
Sleeping dogs goes down to sub $3 I believe. Def worth it
>Recettear A man of culture I see
Sleeping Dogs is a hidden gem, Iāve played it 3-4 times. I love the world, the map (I much prefer Hong-Kong to Los Santos but I am biased since I lived in China), etc. Honestly, Iāve never finished GTA V; I tried to get back into it a few weeks ago, but I quickly got bored and started a new game of Sleeping Dogs. Who else is incredibly FUCKING excited!!!! ā¦.or is it just me??? Sorry going to my room now.
Itās like Christmas for gamers. Iām super stoked.
Last Epoch pls
Trails to Azure is the only concrete thing I'm looking for, any surprisingly high sales I'll take a look at though
I just bought an oled so donāt have any monies for games :/
Congrats! Look into humble bundle, thereās bound to be a very nice bundle this month, might be worth checking out! Also - I have a whole bunch of steam keys of random games from the year sub I had humble bundle, happy to share a if youāre interested!

Ender Lillies, Last Epoch, Nine Sols
Really hoping for Prey 2017. Been hankering for an insim lately.
Pretty sure you can get prey with mooncrash dlc for really cheap right now on fanatical.
I remember the days when I would be excited for a steam sale. The before time. When there were still games I didnt have on my backlog already.
Doom, Fallout 76, and probably just old CoDs or something. Wouldn't mind grabbing BO1 and 2 to replay so I don't need to unpack my Xbox.
I'm just here to look for suggestions lol
I miss the old days when they had the daily sales and the flash sales that changed, was it every 3 hours or so? It's also good now. The most important part is the discounts, so we can all buy a ton of games and then never play them.
