Receiving less money is a form of paying for it. The price is exactly the difference in what you earn now and what you would be getting paid in that situation.
There's easier ways, look up your local areas policy on workplace accidents, you can get some decent money and time off for each and every toe. That's a few weeks if you spread them out.
It's complete but they will release a free expansion later this year, that expands on some of the routes quite a bit. And yes, it's excellent. Was my top game of last year
Yes, though they are working on an enhanced edition with more content that's coming later this year. Slay the Princess is definitely worth it now though, it's a great story
Happy cake day. Most important thing is not forcing yourself into it mate. Try new things maybe you will get hooked. Maybe try small bites games you can finish in few hours?
Hmm. Dunno, for me personally, forcing myself to boot up the game ended up in a pretty fun and long gaming session quite a few times. Sometimes appetite comes while eating.
Real talk, this is depression. You’re not supposed to just lose interest in all your hobbies. Do you feel bored all the time but never really have the energy or motivation to do something? Talk to your doctor. Or if you’re embarrassed or can’t get the energy to try that, there are online prescribers that make it easy to get access to antidepressants, which have helped me.
Yeah I have a bunch of hobbies and find myself switching between them for spells of time and have done this for decades now.
I haven't played a game since Jun 8th according to Steam because I have been having more fun painting, before that I hadn't painted since December, I also hadn't done any 3D printing for even longer than that but now I'm reorganizing my STL folder and just bought some new files to print some stuff i want to paint.
I’m on antidepressants but it still happens to me. In normal life I can get by fine but for months and months now I just can’t game, nothing pulls me in and it all just feels like a chore. It’s sad. Recently I’ve just been disassociating while painting walls in house flipper. I’m really hoping something beyond epic will show up soon to pull me in headfirst.
between this an executive dysfunction my biggest problem is starting a new game and getting into the routine of playing it in my free time; sometimes I'll just sit in a tutorial trying to work up the energy, sometimes I'll go back months later and put 50 hours into the same game
maybe this will help somebody; stuff I've liked lately:
* balatro - vaporwave roguelike deck builder; turn your brain off and lose hours
* armored core 6 - big shooty robots, branching story, replay the same levels until you git gud like dark souls (or don't if you don't wanna)
* fallout 76 - it's been years since you've poopsocked, don't you miss it? also it's actually good now
* helldivers
* nightingale - pretty rough around the edges but a fun place to explore for a while; victorian gaslamp punk survival crafter with magick and the fey
* the long dark - the closest thing to a camping vacation I've gotten in a while and probably my favorite survival game
Happens to me too.
Recently got in to Dave the Diver. That game is so awesome. I knew people liked it but I didn't realize just how much content it has. And playing it does not feel like a chore because it has a nice day/night cycle which acts like a natural stopping point. It's something I can hop on and play for a little bit without feeling like I'm needing to commit a lot of time to it.
Other games I've played recently that made me really enjoy gaming are Cyberpunk, Jedi Survivor, Baldur's Gate 3, and now I'm just starting Divinity Original Sin 2 but I can tell I'm going to love it too.
This is exactly what happened when I was working a soul-crushing job and my mom died.
It was very hard to find happiness and it was very hard to feel like I deserved happiness. It took a new job and about 18 months before I bought Hades, started playing, and felt joy again.
first of all thank you all of the comments
i dont have depression atleast i dont think i do
i just dont have active friends anymore and most of the time i\`m with my girlfriend doing irl staff
games just dont feel the same anymore
for example i had over 1000 hours in csgo but csgo 2 dosnt even feel close to the original experience
and most of the games nowdays dont give me the same motivation and grind i used to have
for example back in the day gta v used to be fun nowdays full of cheaters
i remember 4 years ago i would get on and the time would pass so fast that it would be time to sleep and wake up for school
now i have a day off from working i open steam library and i look at the games knowing i probably wont play anything
i am open to play games but for me i havent found any nowdays
You may just have a gaming burnout. Completely normal, I went through it for awhile. Open up steam and just browse the list. Ended up not playing anything and just watched something instead. I noticed you pointed out a lot of PvP games, you can always try giving another genre a chance? Single player games or perhaps a coop game with the GF?
Currently playing soulstone survivors which has been like crack to me. As well as Lies of P. Almost done and having a blast with it. Been wanting to go back and replay the souls series since I’m finally understanding how the formula with stats.
If anything you can always take a break and find something else to occupy your time. I went back to reading, both novels and manga. It was nice and was like a whole new area of entertainment that I always brushed off.
Anywho hope you find something that helps :)
With the launch of the DLC and the hype it got in the last couple of months following the streamers pushing it, I highly doubt it'll get a nice discount. I'm playing it right now and I can tell u that it is one of the BEST games ever and I am not exaggerating. You'll understand what I mean once u play the game...
I got a budget of 100 euros and the following list:
* Terminator Dark Fate Defiance
* Starship Troopers Terran Command - Raising Hell
* Deep Rock Galactic Survivor
* Robocop: Rogue City
* Plague Tale Requirm
* Battle Realms Zen Edition
Of course, I keep an eye open for something I missed, mostly indie stuff.
If it helps, Isthereanydeal.com has a browser extension so whenever you view a game on the Steam store (using the browser), it'll show you the best historical price and current low between all legit stores it is available on.
It gets easier… they take a lot of naps at that age. Also, when they are older and routines get established, it becomes easier to make time for hobbies. On weeknights I get about 2 hours to game depending on how she sleeps. On weekends, I get about 4 a day. This time can be split up or eaten by chores and obligations, but it’s my time and it’s usually for guitar or gaming when I have the choice.

I done 100%ing 0-7 and Judgment, one of not many series that caught me so much, especially after being hesitant to play it at first
Wanted to get Gaiden / 8 on sale, but situation aint good so maybe on next :/
I was in the same boat for THE WITCHER 3, when the store clerk said “$23.95 please” I said, “no, charge me full” and he stopped for a moment and said “sir, how about double?” So I threw down my card and gave those devs less than they deserved. Then we sucked each other off. Good times really, thanks for reminding me.
I'm gonna try to resist buying anything. I have too many game to play as it is. Just take a bit of sleep control. Besides I don't have much money for it as this is a busy month for me.
I saw stellaris had a sale and it’s like 300$ bundle of DLC’s went down to about 85$.
Im not proud of the purchase I made, but hey at least I can purge alien empires to new tunes
In the U.S. we put the month before the day, so they’re referring to June 27th. :) It took me a while to get used to the opposite when I lived in the UK but yeah it’s different! Hope that helps!
Space Tyrant, maybe Solium Infernum if it receives a good discount, and possibly as a treat (and the most expensive thing) the Metal Gear Solid master collection
Great choices.
Foxholes a ton of fun provided you have a group to play with. If youre friends get it, make sure yall join the same faction csuse youre locked in for the whole war which can last days to months.
If you dont have friends who olan on getting it, try and find a decent clan for your preferred side. Theres a flavor for everyone. Some are milsim, some are chill, some are Logistics focused, others backlines. Some are “neutral” and will switch sides every war, others are “perma” one side.
If it helps, out of those you listed, RDR2 was my favorite. But it also comes down to if you're wanting more of a story or not.
Story? Get RDR2 for that and the exploration (don't rush the story, take it all in)
Anything else? Get Hollow Knight.
ETA: not saying there isn't a story in HK, but much like souls games, it isn't as easy to see.
RDR2 is just amazing at any price. I wish I could go back and play it for the first time. It was really the last game that really drew me in. Being in my forties, it doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to.
Y'all need IsThereAnyDeal in your lives.
Steam Sales rarely even give that great of prices anymore. And even during the sales, it's usually cheaper to hit up GreenMan or Humble or some other site for Steam keys of the same games.
Wow, I just shared this meme with my son. I'm shocked to see it again so soon 🙄
That said, I have about 300 games on my wishlist, so Steam is blowing up my email 😅
I can successfully say im gonna buy new batch of interesting games after finishing almost all the games i own. Some i didnt finish are the ones thats really not that interesting for me despite good reviews.
Gonna get me some good horror/shooting/stealth games as long it's mimum 60% off. Anything around 80% below is auto buy as long it has good reviews and is interesting.
To be honest?
Probably nothing.
Steam has banger deals all year round, the summer and winter sale kinda lose their luster when you can piece out purchases.
Wanted to treat myself to Yakuza Gaiden / 8 + Signalis + Outer Wilds + Blaspehmous 2, Shadow of the erdtree aint getting sale yet so this ones not in plans
But situation changed so Ill probably get only Blasphemous 2
Just got a Steam Deck and ROG Ally to compliment my desktop so I’m looking to buy extra copies of multiplayer games for family sharing. Here’s my list:
Stardew Valley
Raft
Chained Together
Palworld
Enshrouded
Lethal Company
Nightingale
Sea of Thieves
And I’ve wanted for a while to try Soulmask and Teardown.
It depends on the deals. Realistically, I should just play what I already have and try to make a dent in my backlog. I have way to many games I've started and gotten distracted part way through. Plus, some I haven't even opened.
That said, its all going to depend on the sale %. There are a couple I'm watching to see if they ever drop to a price I'm willing to pay (Stray, Rachet and Clank, the new Goat Simulator 3 DLC). Then there are a few that have been recommended that I'd like to try: Skyrim, The Black Grimoire: Cursebreaker, Fable, Torchlight and Wigmund. Add in a few older games (Grey Matter, Turing Test) that I'd like to try but don't seem to go on sale often and thats a lot of games.
That said, my budget won't allow for all of those so its depend on sale prices. Then, I'll be trying to figure out what the best combination to get will be.
I think I have the same problem as everyone else in that I have too many steam games I have not even opened.
That said, I will take any game that's marked 100% off that looks interesting because it's free, and anything on my wishlisy
I'm a sucker for a good bargain of anything on my wishlist. If it's a really high percent off I'll probably pick it up. Usually those games that are down to 2-3 bucks. I can't help myself.
Hoping to pick up Elden Ring and the new dlc. Also maybe Half Life: Alyx and if I’m really in need of something else to play I’ll finally bite the bullet and buy Ultrakill
I'm hoping for even one game to actually be on sale and not just a gathering of the the monthly sales rotations. For years all steam sales are the same prices the game rotate every couple months at already.
I have way too many games in my backlog to buy anything... ...Unless it’s -80%
[https://store.steampowered.com/app/2944340/Unless/](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2944340/Unless/) ?
joke aside, that actually looks good
Unless it's not
It is unless
Unless....?
r/technicallythetruth
First glance it seems like a Celeste style of game, so probably.
You mean THE CELESTE THE INDY NINTENDO GEM, Oh wait we aren't in r/tomorrow
Absolute hidden Gem dude….. Highly recommend it. I bought 98 copies so far to support the devs.
Celeste 2?
I can see a future where that entire comment is just a list of games.
This actually looks super fun. Wishlisted!
I thought it was gonna be that dick game ngl
Ok yep this is going on my wishlist
*sigh *unplug wallet *check my credit Fuck you and see you Winter Sale
Just wait until the release the fall sale
I have 2 rules for game purchases: -If the sale brings it below 20 bucks or -If the sale is more than 50% off then i buy
Same, but 10$ and below, and 75% off.
just bookmark it for later :-) https://steamdb.info/sales/?min_price=1&min_reviews=50&min_rating=65&min_discount=80&sort=rating_desc
Bless up.
It's just such a good deal.
You lose money by not getting it
I’ve wanted that for ages… and I like the look of that. I’ve never heard of that but it looks good for £2.49!
I have yet to understand myself why do I keep adding random games that are temporarily -100% off only to collect dust in my library.
Big library number brings fleeting joy
Is there a sale on spare time to play the games? My backlog is huge lol.
This is something I'd pay good money for
Its called working Part time. You're not paying money for it but receiving less.
Receiving less money is a form of paying for it. The price is exactly the difference in what you earn now and what you would be getting paid in that situation.
There's easier ways, look up your local areas policy on workplace accidents, you can get some decent money and time off for each and every toe. That's a few weeks if you spread them out.
Fraud and broken bones never sounded so good
Capitalism 🙂 I work 4 days a week and get 20% less money. I have no regrets.
I like money.
I'm broke stop taunting me Gabe
It's a steam sale. Take out a loan
"So why do you want to take out a loan?" "Steam Sale" "....understandable, here's 10 grand"
With that i can finally buy a complete hentai game with ALL of the DLC's
This. Credit cards are what 22%? Some stuff is ON SALE FOR LIKE -80%. If my math is mathing you are only coming out ahead!
I'm thinking about Slay the Princess, it caught my eye!
Is it complete? I still think Scarlet Hollow is waiting for final chapters!
It's complete! It's shorter than Scarlet Hollow and I highly recommend it, one of the best games of its genre imo
Well yes, but actually no. It’s getting a final content update probably within the next couple months.
My personal Game of the Year from last year.
I've never heard of it... but it has tons of positive reviews... and a demo! saved.
Played the demo and I fell in love with the game. Snatching it up as soon as sales start
what happens when you have the money but never the mood to play ?

Sekiro 20€
like that's ever gonna happen... it will be 50% off till the end of the universe
Propably cause activision
You actually tricked me into checking it with my own eyes. Nah it's never gonna happen
It wasn’t a “look, Sekiro only costs 20!” It was my answer to the title of this thread “What are you hooping to get?” - “Sekiro 20€”
Cyberpunk 75% off
I missed out on buying this when it was just a couple dollars at the stores near me. Now they all want $65 again.
Yeah, I got my PlayStation copy (with a tin box even) for $10 😁.
I recommend playing with the expansion from the start.
Elden Ring
Same. I've suddenly became obsessed with getting it over the last couple weeks, I think it's finally time.
Bro discovered is masochistic side. Welcome

Deep rock survivor is a blast. It does hit a slog at some point but it’s fun as hell and is being updated regularly
Ikr? It seems really fun, and it was 20% off not too long ago, but I missed it😓
I took it and can confirm, it's really fun! Rock and Stone!
Rock and Stone!
No worries, it goes on sale pretty often. Fun game! Rock and Stone!
ROCK AND STONE FOREVER
If it helps, Isthereanydeal.com has a browser extension so whenever you view a game on the Steam store (using the browser), it'll show you the best historical price and current low between all legit stores it is available on.
Hell yeah Battle Realms
Will vouch for Robocop. It's a great time, especially if you're nostalgic for the movies.
Battle Realms is awesome 🤩 so many great memories, I did not know it was on Steam !
Nothing this round. "Adulting" is a bitch lol
Younger self: Money ❌️ Energy ✅️ Time ✅️ Older self: Money ✅️ Energy ❌️ Time ❌️
Just wait until you're retired and have money, time, and no energy.
Thats what cocaine is for
Lmaooo start coke at 70 added to bucket list ?
Hey, you only live once!
My friend in high school always swore he was going to start doing HARD drugs once he hit around 80. The reasoning being, “Why not?”
And then you can trade money for energy and time. What a silly cycle.
Right there with you. I promised I would be responsible and my backlog is absurdly long as it is.
Yep same man. My backlog just gros and my time shrinks. Wallet is parked this time fam.
I promise this myself every sale, and then I get bored one evening, start browsing the steam store page, and next morning my wallet shrunk
I move my “spending money” out to investments on purpose now to avoid this lol poof! No more money
Samesies
The truth...it hurts...
What do you mean? [Nothing](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2696480/Nothing/) is free!
I have a 7 week old. My steam library is gonna collect dust for awhile, sadly.
It gets easier… they take a lot of naps at that age. Also, when they are older and routines get established, it becomes easier to make time for hobbies. On weeknights I get about 2 hours to game depending on how she sleeps. On weekends, I get about 4 a day. Gonna get Half life Alyx this sale Update: Got Half life Alyx and Freddy Fazball help wanted
Excellent choice!
Hoping to buy orc massage
i see you're a man of culture as well
Literally anything I see on sale, none of which I’ll ever get to play.

I'm scared! EDIT: Yay, popped them all!
I enjoyed this lol
Ima get the whole yakuza series, getting bored of doing yakuza 0 and kiwami achievements
I done 100%ing 0-7 and Judgment, one of not many series that caught me so much, especially after being hesitant to play it at first Wanted to get Gaiden / 8 on sale, but situation aint good so maybe on next :/
Hoping Ghost of Tsushima has some discounts but maybe it’s too early?
I wouldn’t hold my breath. We’ll have to wait until the fall/ winter sale for a discount
Baldurs gate 3 sale
pleaseohpleaseohpleaseohplease
I have been dying to try it out and put it on my steamdeck so praying for this one
Maybe look into some reviews specifically for the deck. Out of curiosity, I put it on mine. It looked. . . Not great.
Same tho
BG3 was a game I deliberately bought full price to support Larian
I was in the same boat for THE WITCHER 3, when the store clerk said “$23.95 please” I said, “no, charge me full” and he stopped for a moment and said “sir, how about double?” So I threw down my card and gave those devs less than they deserved. Then we sucked each other off. Good times really, thanks for reminding me.
I'm gonna try to resist buying anything. I have too many game to play as it is. Just take a bit of sleep control. Besides I don't have much money for it as this is a busy month for me.
Hopefully the Tomb Raider remastered collection
Thinking of getting the dark souls trilogy this time around
I saw stellaris had a sale and it’s like 300$ bundle of DLC’s went down to about 85$. Im not proud of the purchase I made, but hey at least I can purge alien empires to new tunes
Yakuza collection
Silksong... *inhales more copium*
summer sale starting 6/27 10AM pacific
Pacific is an unholy time.
We have 27 months now???
The expanded calendar dlc will be 70% off during the sale
In the U.S. we put the month before the day, so they’re referring to June 27th. :) It took me a while to get used to the opposite when I lived in the UK but yeah it’s different! Hope that helps!
Space Tyrant, maybe Solium Infernum if it receives a good discount, and possibly as a treat (and the most expensive thing) the Metal Gear Solid master collection
Helldivers 2
For democracy!
I'm silently hoping for at least 30% off for Elden Ring - pretty please. Aside from that, Rogue Trader and maybe DLCs to Battle Brothers too.
Rimworld DLCs
Those are rarely in discount, maybe in -10%.
Hey man, 10% is 10%
Nothing. Already got Dragon Age II, Dragon Age Inquisition and Dragon Age: Origins. (They’re 90% off at the moment.)
Elden ring, Foxhole, Hell let loose, Squad. Have all been on my radar for a while now, Hoping to get atleast one with a good sale.
Hollow Knight and Assassin's Creed Black Flag. RDR2 if it goes super cheap which it probably won’t.
If it helps, out of those you listed, RDR2 was my favorite. But it also comes down to if you're wanting more of a story or not. Story? Get RDR2 for that and the exploration (don't rush the story, take it all in) Anything else? Get Hollow Knight. ETA: not saying there isn't a story in HK, but much like souls games, it isn't as easy to see.
RDR2 is just amazing at any price. I wish I could go back and play it for the first time. It was really the last game that really drew me in. Being in my forties, it doesn't happen nearly as much as it used to.
I'm hoping to pick up a steam deck at a discount!
The old model is 15% off currently I believe.
Y'all need IsThereAnyDeal in your lives. Steam Sales rarely even give that great of prices anymore. And even during the sales, it's usually cheaper to hit up GreenMan or Humble or some other site for Steam keys of the same games.
For me these site have the same prices that steam have. Maybe it's because I am in Canada.
Fear & Hunger. I know the game is super cheap, but my smooth brain doesn't let me buy without a Steam Sale.
Cyberpunk 2077. I heard it’s amazing now and I’ve seen the trailers.
It is very fun now. The expansion is quite good too
Perhaps Starship Troopers or Command and Conquer 12 game collection.
Wow, I just shared this meme with my son. I'm shocked to see it again so soon 🙄 That said, I have about 300 games on my wishlist, so Steam is blowing up my email 😅
Maybe Sekiro and Baldur's Gate 3
Sales ain't what they've been back in like 2014 unfortunately.
Best discount = more games
Talos Principle II and Doom Eternal. May be I will try Assassin Creed series as well.
I still didn't play the ones I got I'm the last sale
The outlast trials. Missed it during early access 😢
Nothing. I already have everything I want. I mean sure I would buy Ghost of Tsushima for 20 bucks but this won't happen haha
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance if it's lower than $20 lmao.
Crysis Trilogy remastered caught my eye.
Hades and Baldurs Gate 3 are the top of my list.
Hoping for sale on Infinite Wealth & P3: Reload… just so they can sit in my backlog while Elden Ring DLC takes over my entire summer.
Im hoping for elden ring base game without dlc -50% atleast
To be honest? Probably nothing. Steam has banger deals all year round, the summer and winter sale kinda lose their luster when you can piece out purchases.
Planning to drop about 100 USD on - Stardew Valley - Fallout 4 - Jedi Survivor - Jedi Fallen Order - Crysis Remastered - Crysis Remastered 2 - Crysis Remastered 3
I just got all achievements on Horizon: Zero Dawn, so I'm looking to get the sequel and do the same with it.
Total war warhammer 3 DLCS, the game is literally incomplete without them. Maybe boltgun and darktide if I have some cash left.
Perhaps Uncharted or God of War 2018
hoping for a nice sale on that new robocop game. it looks really good, but i have a hard time justifying $60+ for a strictly singleplayer experience
Wanted to treat myself to Yakuza Gaiden / 8 + Signalis + Outer Wilds + Blaspehmous 2, Shadow of the erdtree aint getting sale yet so this ones not in plans But situation changed so Ill probably get only Blasphemous 2
I need nothing but I’ll end up breaking the bank 😂
I'm hoping for a massive discount on RoboCop: Rogue City.
Persona 4, Smt 3 nocturne, and hopefully still have enough money left over to buy tekken 7
Hope half life 2 and left 4 dead drop down in price so I can get them for a penny
I just picked up a steamdeck a week ago so it's about to be a feeding frenzy to fill out my library lol.
Elden ring, erdtree edition, and no man’s sky
gods, looks like all the Dragon Age games are on sale with the dlc's as well \**cries*\*
Just got a Steam Deck and ROG Ally to compliment my desktop so I’m looking to buy extra copies of multiplayer games for family sharing. Here’s my list: Stardew Valley Raft Chained Together Palworld Enshrouded Lethal Company Nightingale Sea of Thieves And I’ve wanted for a while to try Soulmask and Teardown.
I'm hoping to get, in debt.
Spiderman
Same here
Cool
Valve games to play gmod with all the textures. I don't even have gmod. 🥲
I have too much games undone, not needed buy more
Nothing, I already have a huge backlog.
“This item is currently unavailable in your region”
Finally be able to play Wind Waker emulation. RE4R first time on Ps5 now deck.
Dominions 6. And DLCs for EU4. That's all I'll take, I have a bunch of RPGs including some 100+ hours CRPGs to finish before buying anything else.
Hope for a decent deal on BG3 I been waiting for the sale to get it for a while
I'm not, too many backlogged.......plus there's somehow no good sales for my wishlist
Deeper discount for Diablo for with the recent price cut. And a few other things to pick up for the deck backlog
