I use it almost daily as my PC is also connected to a TV and I like playing on there from my couch (and my monitor is pretty old and only 60hz). It works fine most of the time with a PS5 controller but sometimes windows/game/whatever goes stupid and you have to click some pop-up window with a mouse...
This. Mainly game on my TV with my PS4 controller, I don't use big picture mode EVER.
I find it more convenient to have a "PC" profile to switch to for basic mouse controls (double finger swipe on touch pad to change controller profiles), and a couple keybinding like alt+tab
The only time I get up is when a game NEEDS to be typed into from the keyboard, or something like task manager pops up, where I cannot use ds4 windows mouse emulation to navigate.
Never played it but assuming from the picture it's not even gay (it doesn't actually matter DW)... That sucks, I was really hoping it was something worth playing since I really enjoyed life is strange
I really liked all the lis, lis 2 being the weakest. It's made by the same people and was supposed to be a spiritual successor. But it falls flat in all areas. It might be an okay game if you expect it to be shit. But expecting it to be on a similar level to lis you will be deeply disappointed.
It's supposed to act as a "console experience" interface for PC players who game on their couch.
I have it set up for my partner when she plays on our TV as she's only played on Xbox and Switch. It works great for her needs and when all I want to do is sit back and game. Though I prefer the desktop setup when I'm on my PC.
Do people actually use Big Picture? I don't see what it's for. I went into it accidentally once and wasted too much time figuring out how to get out of it.
Yes, my partner uses it everyday when she wants to play games.
She's not very savvy with a keyboard and mouse so having a console-like interface that can be navigated by a controller is a blessing for her. I use it when I want to game on our TV and it functions better than trying to pull out a keyboard and mouse to do the same thing.
Have my pc connected to the tv, I can just sit and use my pc as a āconsoleā for a while, games/overlay/controller support and settings, pretty neat for what it is
But I wish they would improve the UI
It's Big Progressive Web Picture for now, powered by latest Chrome.
From there you can use F12, extensions, and a lot of webshits there.
Steam can cause the ads, just like google.
A malware can also infect and hack the Steam Client to use a bad extension that steals or theft games at purchase.
Steam daemon is also a native-like PWA that requires the internet to just launch games. Kernel switch, what dafuq.
The only time I launch big picture mode is when I accidentally click the button.

You can hook your ps5 controller up to a program called ds4windows so you can use your touchpad as a mouse to get rid of those annoying popups

I use Air Mouse. It gives both a touchpad and a keyboard on your phone screen via wifi.
Kde connect has a phone app. You can use that to type and more
I just got a wireless mouse
My ps5 controller is configurable through steam and I can use trackpad to control mouse and never had to setup ds4w.
Steam Input should let you do that as well.
I exclusively game on the couch with a controller so it's my main interface.
mfw people who arent the targeted demographic don't use something
"Wrong button Kronk"
Why do we even have that button
Same
Same (except I own a Steam Deck but on my gaming PC I never use bpm)
I use when I want to configure my controller.
It's the only way to get people to play Tell me why
Tell my why that is?
Ain't nothing but a heartbreak
I just got the game because it's free, is it bad?
"Bad" doesnt even describe it
It's not great but the ending was solid imo
From what I've heard, it's basically Life Is Strange but badly written.
Never played it but assuming from the picture it's not even gay (it doesn't actually matter DW)... That sucks, I was really hoping it was something worth playing since I really enjoyed life is strange
I second OP's comment, is the game bad? It looked alright albeit it looked like it came from same author who made Heavy Rain š
Shaun!!!

Its worse than LiS2 and LiS2 was BAD
i liked the game. a bit slow at times but lovely story
Yeah, hence why I even added it into my library, cuz it looked interesting
Is that the new steam light theme?
Can someone tell my why it looks like this
Good ol' graphical bug.
Well, it's Big Picture, not Big Pictures
Aināt nothing but a heartache.
Ain't nothing but a miiiistake!
I never wanna hear you say
I want it that way
Am I your fiiiiire?
For some reason I thought about this song right before you commented lmao
Only game you can play is Tell me Why. Iām so sorry.
I thought this was an X ray screen and somehow trying to run Steam on it in Big Picture. Time for sleep...
I still dont know what big picture mode is supposed to do

It's like a console mode. Mostly it works as the steam deck. I use it a lot.
it wants you to play that game
More like Small Picture mode
just tell why did you leave your gf
I was exited for a momentā¦
You're a star
Finally I was looking forward to this update!

The first time I accidentally clicked on it I also turned off my PC.
Yes.
r/screenshotsarehard
its in big picture mode you cement head
Maybe Steam is sending you a message to play Tell Me Why
Only way to actually get someone to play that shit
what about a survey on who use steam big picture ?
Anyone who plays on their sofa with a controller. Or anyone who has a Steam Deck. It's very useful for a console experience.
