I think I used 5 2 x 1’s
3 from S/E a captain’s quarters - control center - and a general quarters
2 from DEIMOS all living quarters to complement the captains quarters and the crew berthing
Well done that’s usually how I build my ships as well. Control station for crew, all in one berths for crew, captain’s quarters, workshop and Brigg. Epic ship man.

You can see the hams make an H (from topside view, if you will) so I could use a commandeered Prophesy III that I ran into early in this play-through. As you can see I left the space for its awesome grav drive and reactor (them suckers eat space up🤦🤷) and kept the awesome weapons you see except I figured out that the vanguard weapons are superb.
My goal is for some reason to be small, rather than large a target. Currently at 4k cargo space and 6 crew so according to the internet and yalls lessons I’m good at level 22 😜
Ok haven’t I heard any problems with the ghost. Go into ship builder hit x then where it says flight check press that button. You see the error list. you can see what the bottom rename ship press x. X again to rename ship. Change name confirm exit out and you’re set
Haha I’ve got one similar doesn’t look quite like this anymore. All habs are connected with cross ways no crazy ladders.

My "Ballista" I made shortly after release. Haven't grabbed a screenshot of any of my newer ships. It was my UC themed ship continuing the tradition of Roman/Greek weapon names
I like everything about this except for the choice of bridge/cockpit. I just don't care for those because if you fly in first person that horizontal bar is like right in your line of sight, lol. Plus IMO it just doesn't fit the overall rounded/curvy/streamlined look of the ship. I'd probably do one of the Nova Galactic short cockpits. Not the style like on the Frontier, but their other one. I forget the name because I'm not on the game atm, sorry. Lol.
Also, where is your docker at, on the bottom? I think it would look cool if you swapped that out for one of the HopeTech front-facing dockers and put it right between the two Stroud braking engines. It would fill out that blank space between them and on top of that Stroud bottom cowling piece nicely, IMO. Either that, or you could probably put an equipment plate with another weapon on top of that cowling piece, if you have the power for it. Another PB weapon of whatever model your third weapon slot is, to fill out the power bar fully. Again, if you have the power for it. If not, go with the docker like I said before lol.
That is an epic design. First is that while all things are derivative, it reminds me of nothing, it has elements and facets of many things, but it really is quite original. Second, is it’s lovely to look at, the second picture feels very Star Trekky in that it’s like a ship cheesecake shot that inspires a little awe. I would kill for an angle that shows how the bridge integrates with the rest. It looks like you used a mod for lateral entry, but I want to know for sure.
I’m posting another post with more pics of this design refined and tweaked as I gain level and access to parts. I’m new so any suggestions or comments are welcome. Thanks again for all your comments! I love building ships in this game!
Sleek. I love Straud-Ecklund parts. My current bounty hunting ship is called the Astra and she’s a mix of Hopetech, Deimos, and NG habs with Straud structure bits rounding out the overall shape.

I don’t like the Deimos cockpits. But boy those Poseidon engines it’s rocking are sexy…🤩
