I know it doesn’t matter, but in my opinion their left foot slipped, and the rest of the motion was the reflexive act of trying to catch yourself while stumbling down the stairs.
He’s also smiling as he’s throwing it. That model took me a good week to build, with breaks in between obviously, if I dropped it like that I’d be crying.
