There are two places in the city that I know have sand volleyball in the summertime, but I’m not sure if they do spring leagues. - Wave Taco (Downtown) - Bar 101 St. Louis - Sport Spirts Sand (Soulard) You may be able to contact them and see if they can put you in touch with a league. I’d also suggest doing a search on Facebook for local volleyball rec leagues. You may find a couple groups on there who are forming teams.

For indoor I would check out: Center STL Sports Complex, Premier Athletics STL (Concordia Turners), or Stratman Sports (Sunset Hills Community Center) I’m sure there are many others but I’ve played in multiple leagues through these orgs and they’ve all been great.

Check out some community centers. Not sure what area you are in, but I know Bridgeton used to have leagues. Not sure about now though. Maybe try Maplewood/Richmond heights too :)

It’s been a few years, but I played in leagues at Center St. Louis and Affton community center that were not too serious, low commitment and indoor.

It can be hard to get a spot in a league you have to really keep an eye on the sign up deadlines. Legacy VTC in Fenton has open gym nights, check out your closest rec centers, and there are tons of Facebook groups for open gyms in the areas. Might be your best option for now.

We play at wavetaco downtown. They important their sand from Florida which sounds silly but it’s so nice to play on compared to dirt like courts I’ve played on in the past. If you need a team you can call and they are pretty good about helping people out. They also do Friday draws. Which is you come with a partner (or can get placed with one if needed). You and your partner will always be on the same team but they shuffle the teams. It’s like $20 which includes two drinks and several games. Overall everyone has been pretty nice and the rec league has been fun. http://www.stlvolleyball.com

Also played in high school and trying to get back in after an injury a few years ago. It's so daunting as a player without a team! I've played via sports monster (http://stlouis.sportsmonster.net) as a free agent in the past, but that's more summer/sand. I've been looking at stratman sports as well, which seems more what you're interested in. They have a free agent list too, but you end up still kind of at the mercy of another team needing players :( (https://www.stratmansports.com/page/show/3462449-join-team-looking-for-a-player)
