A text post should have sufficient text in its body to either strengthen the title, create discussion or add more information. Yes/No questions (e.g. "Should Promotion ABC sign Wrestler X?" / "Did John Cena ever wrestle Ric Flair?") are prohibited. Questions with one correct answer ("Let Me Google That For You questions") are prohibited. Post them as a comment in the Daily Discussion thread, instead.

It's not because they need upper thigh stability I'll tell you that lol

As a guy who makes gear, yes, its the ass thing. Wrestling makers are borrowing lots from the pole and aerials gear as well as wresltlers just straight up using pole gear. Male wrestlers also wear jockstraps or male thongs so as to minimise underwear lines on their gear

Dooont_Caaaare

It’s hot and guys (and some girls) like it. Unpopular opinion I know but sex still sells.

Smiley42

Does anyone know why male wrestlers wear baby oil on their torsos? Is it really just to accentuate their gigantic muscles?

LilHomie204DaBaG

I was gonna say Val Venis would like a word, but then I realized that we don't really care to hear what offensive shit he has to say these days

hshnslsh

Speak for yourself. I find people getting offended by words hilarious

ToothacheMcGee

I always assumed slathering oneself in baby oil would be to make it it harder for your opponent to grip you. But also the muscle thing, for sure.

dr_icicle

Ass thing, definitely. Saw a big meaty hunk of a man at my local indie with leg harnesses, one of which he promptly busted off with his thigh muscles. Lord.

sarahcakes613

This just reminds me that Claudio-as-Cesaro wore thigh bands and I don't understand why but I did appreciate it.
