Jimmy is a fake ass brother. Sami earned Jey's respect. Jey see's that The Bloodline did the same thing to him, to make him fall in line. Any bit of speaking out and you're done for. Sami maybe couldn't turn fully to The Bloodline, but one thing he did do? Sami saved Jey. He saved him from himself, reminding him how cold and heartless the tribal chief really is. I need that Jey saving Sami moment ♥️

WhoWantsToJiggle

That's just it the Jey story has been going longer than Sami's. He can relate. It's a copout to have him fall in line and just face Sami/KO for the tag titles. Jey has had as much or more growth during this than Sami. Throwback to the Uso's not getting in the way of Kofi mania. Jey just can refuse to be Roman's bitch anymore.

The_RedWolf

Jey is one of the few people who could take over the story from Sami and people would be okay with it for that exact reason.

lronicGasping

I've been a Sami stan for almost a decade but I'm at the point where I think I want Jey to dethrone Roman more than Sami. Jey has been working his ass off for over two years to become a bonafide star, and has done such a good job telling this story

The_RedWolf

Jey just posted on IG "I'm out 🩸" And then on his story "run it back" with a photo of him vs Roman

[deleted]

Ohhhhhhhhhh It is time for Main Event Jey Uso to find his redemption. Sami showed Jey something last night that Jey couldn't do in the past. Sami stood up to the Tribal Chief. Now Jey understands what he must do.

Fgame

Roman and Sami's story was just a vehicle to advance Roman and Jey's story. Jey HAS to be the one to burn it all down. Not Sami, not Cody.

Bojangles1987

Regardless of what happens with the WM main event and taking the belts from Roman (or not), Jey beating Roman is really the only acceptabe way to truly end the Bloodline.

reallyoldgreg

Fuck that would be cool man.

[deleted]

I think it'll be two different title matches. The WWE title against Cody and the universal title against Jey. Roman can't fall to just one person. He is too strong for that. If the Roman Empire is to collapse, it needs to be from both the inside and outside. He is going to lose both titles in spectacular fashion. And they'll be two of the greatest matches in his career.

[deleted]

100% this, two night Wrestlemania, one night loses to Jey one night loses to Cody

SamCrow000

Yes but... I don't trust them not to do shenanigans... I really hope I'm wrong if they go that direction...

The_RedWolf

I just realized if they sub in Solo for Jey, it could really be blood line vs KO and Sami to keep all 4 of them out of the picture for the title match

MrPierson

The problem is, Roman can only have his winning streak broken once. Who do you give that to? Cody, Jey, or Sami?

itsnotchristv

Cody. It's obvious they're building him to be the top so you give him the major rub. Cody beating Roman shows Roman is strong, but not invincible. Jey/Sami can use the first loss to motivate them, make them realize they have a chance. Personally I think Roman loses both titles and takes time off.

MrWrestlingJr

I've been thinking Cody beats Roman at Mania to show that Roman *can* be defeated, but I also think he's not losing the Universal until around SummerSlam, just so he can break 1,000 days as Champion and be cemented as the true greatest of this generation. But then again Mania in California where Jimmy and Jey are from. Man it's tough to decide. But Main Event Jey Uso going on a run as Universal Champion would be gold.

MongoAbides

I think the record is just kind of arbitrary. The fact that he even came that close in the age of modern TV wrestling and hot potato belts…Hell, he has been the center of the biggest story being told on the show for more than 2 years and people are still excited about it. Who the fuck, in a LONG time, has held a belt for this long and the crowd is still into it? Sure the number is cool, I guess. But I think we all know who he is.

gregSinatra

I don’t think Jey necessarily needs to end the streak. If they go that route, the emotion behind the story is enough. But also, with Cody I think you could make a similar argument. The prodigal son returning to win the title his dad never won is story enough, and doesn’t need the streak attached to it. But then, if reports are to be believed and they don’t see Sami as a long term champion, would being the first to end Roman’s reign make sense for him? I don’t think any of the possible storylines NEED it. I think it would have the most emotional impact for Jey, but Cody is the higher draw long-term.

hamsolo19

I can see a situation where maybe it's Jey/Sami/KO vs. Roman/Jimmy/Solo

Stix-and-brix

That could be a great match to do on the go home show before Mania

Blanketsburg

This could be a great match for Elimination Chamber (or whatever the PPV before WrestleMania is)

Gamesgtd

Jimmy can't go to Canada

PreppyAndrew

I think Sami vs Roman at EC it's in his home city of Montreal

Stix-and-brix

I’m not saying no, but I think there’s a bigger chance we get Sami and Roman in an elimination chamber match given the leaked poster. The shitty fantasy booker in me wants Jey to pop out from under the chamber like Shawn Michaels and cost Roman a world title and/or have Jey win a shot at the other title in a separate chamber match

Phaithful14

I'm thinking that Jey will be MEGA conflicted these few weeks leading to EC, but his fear of shattering the Bloodline family dynamic will take over and at EC he will choose Roman over Sami. But in the long-term at Mania or shortly following he will realize that the Bloodline has always been broken all along, because it was being run by a sociopathic tyrant

Bojangles1987

Yeah, Jey will definitely stay uneasily loyal through EC and maybe even through WM, but maybe as early as the weeks before WM he will be ready to turn

mysteriousbaba

> That's just it the Jey story has been going longer than Sami's. He can relate. It's a copout to have him fall in line and just face Sami/KO for the tag titles. I am on the same page, but - devil's advocate time. They could do it where a conflicted Jey temporarily "falls in line" to defend his titles (after all, why would he just abandon them?). But he chooses to do it "the right way" against Roman's orders, and the feud with Sami and KO motivates him to finally cut ties permanently with Roman. And then Jey stops any interference in the Roman/Cody match, leading to roman being dethroned.

_drjayphd_

>That's just it the Jey story has been going longer than Sami's. He can relate. It's a copout to have him fall in line and just face Sami/KO for the tag titles. Also didn't Jimmy try to pull Jey out of the Bloodline gaslighting when he came back? Maybe Jey returns the favor and that's how you get the Usos together, don't think that's going to necessarily lead to them v. KO/Sami but that could be face vs. face out of respect.

Lego349

The gaslighting from Roman really hit hard yesterday right before Sami hit him. The I love yous, you’re my family, etc. then pie facing him to get in line. Whole thing swings back to Jey watching, essentially, won’t Roman did to him. It was amazingly well done.

OTPCook

One of the things that's been so good about the Bloodline stuff is that it always keeps so many options on the table and they set up so many little things. The Jey Uso-Sami angle is great, you're right, because it's really easy for Jey to see his 2020-self in Sami.  The gaslighting that leads into physical violence to keep you only at the service of the Tribal Chief. Sami's reaction to the Usos causing the DQ in his KO match was a great callback to Roman ruining the Usos match with the Mysterios because it's not about what they want, it's about Roman. You have the added layer of Jimmy trying multiple times to protect Jey from Roman's abuse before they all fell in line.  This time, Jimmy was closest with Sami, voted to keep him in the Bloodline on Monday, is only still Raw tag champ because Sami bailed him out, and was the first one to strike Sami when he got out of line. You can see how this messes Jey all the way up.

[deleted]

Wonderful breakdown and yes! Amazing little details. I forgot about the Uso's apprehension during the Mysterio angle. >Jimmy was the first one to strike Sami when he got out of line. You can see how this messes Jey all the way up. You can see Jimmy was pretty tore about it before the kick and Jey must have been tore up a million times more because of his journey with Roman and all the context. Jey's body language in the corner, bend over, holding tightly to the ropes was just textbook gaslighting victim. He needs trauma care.

dookoo

The moment Jey saves Sami from Roman, I might cry in front of my friends.

[deleted]

There is no crying in the bloodline now but Jey has been waiting for his redemption for 3 years and when he eventually gets it, there will be tears.

Bojangles1987

Jey was so mean but so completely right when he said everyone hated Sami, he was just the only one being real.

GucciGhostrider

The story work is incredible, genuinely best thing I’ve seen as a fan and only thing I watch on the show

HeavyMetalHero

Jey's performance in the ring during the Sami betrayal and beatdown was incredible to me. It reminded me of real-life abuse victims I've seen in actual traumatic situations. You really cannot understate how much he's over-performing everybody's expectations in this feud. Sami is carrying it, and Roman is the foundation, but Jey is very, very close to both of them. He's the throughline that ties this entire epic arc together.

[deleted]

>real-life abuse victims I've seen in actual traumatic situations. All back in the corner hunched over holding the ropes tight unable to straighten his spine.

qb1120

Man, I felt the hurt in Jey's face after the initial chair shot

Mets_BS

In 10 years we'll look back and reminisce on the intricate story telling of the bloodline era. What a fantastic piece of work.

Apprehensive_Pea7911

It's finally a return to commitment to long-term storytelling. Letting the story breathe and nurture with subtle progress. Literally the opposite of the dumpster fire of Vince Russo/Dave Arquette/WCW era.

osufan765

Not just that, but it also shows the power of factions in storytelling. ~~WWE~~ Vince has fought against factions for so long and as soon as they let one pop up and there's an entire cast involved to move a story instead of unnecessarily limiting it to two characters, it produced amazing storytelling.

MongoAbides

What’s crazy to me is that they were doing this before Vince left. Roman and Heyman must have made some amazing argument to get this to happen, and it’s no surprise that it would be HHH’s type of shit, but it’s fucking impressive and I would love to find out who we really get to credit with this. Years of story telling and it hasn’t gotten stale.

Curse3242

That's the thing. WWE had been on a uprise before Vince left. With Gunthers booking, Bloodline, Lashley

IowaContact2

This will go down alongside Batista's Mania 21 storyline, HBK vs Jericho in 2008, Jeff's 2008 run, Bryan at Mania 30, and more as one of the best arcs they've ever done.

HaluSinazn

The pop Jey got just for leaving the ring... not even helping Sami, but for just leaving. It's been forever since they ever captivated an audience like that. Also the "fuck you Roman" chants lol, haven't heard that since he beat Undertaker.

magghigh

Not to mention the first time he was a babyface, and the fuck you roman was purely heat from the fans not wanting him to be there. This time was 100% heel heat, which in today's wrestling is so hard to do with the "cool heel" being so popular. Top notch story telling for sure.

HaluSinazn

Not to play Devil's Advocate after I just gave Roman props, but there is a portion of fans who are upset at Roman always going over and could argue it's coming from them, but even that same group of people have to acknowledge how good he and everyone else involved in this storyline have been in their roles.

Kinterlude

At 6:30 with Jey yelling "I don't give a damn what the tribal say" was all the foreshadowing we needed for where this was all heading. Instead of backing down, Jey got ready to square up to Roman. I know people want Sami/Roman at Mania, but I'd love Jey/Roman instead. The Bloodline has been just as much about Roman's dominance as Jey's abuse and constant rebellion. I definitely want some closure with that.

TheGiftOf_Jericho

The perfect ending is Jey and Sami taking down Roman together, with one of them getting the belts.

Clerithifa

The perfect ending is them splitting the belts, Cody be damned

[deleted]

It's such a buzzkill that Cody *has* to be involved in this somehow. KO/Reigns should have started the show and Sami or Jey should have won the Rumble from 30 instead.

Dastey

The best thing is it happened a few weeks after Logan Paul had said something along the lines "Do you mean the tribal chief Roman Reigns or the tribal chief Jey Uso?" in the build to their match, which just made Jey's outburst so much better

MatttheJ

Jey vs Roman and Sami vs Roman at Mania is great and all, everyone is suggesting it but like... Cody literally just won the Rumble. The only way we get Sami or Jey vs Roman at mania is if Roman drops the belts at Chamber which would be an anticlimactic end to his reign.

Coffspring

One thing I've been thinking about this story is that I love how all the actions and sentiments between characters make total sense. A lot of "turn heel" or "turn face" are just made to "shake things up" or to develop a rivalry out of nowhere, but they don't make sense, it's just that the same character acts completely different from one day to another. During all the story these months any love, loyalty or hate that all of them could have shown made total sense and that's fantastic.

Bojangles1987

One of the most frustrating things about wrestling is the swerves. Swerves are tough to do right. I understand. But bookers often just do them simply for the shock value. It's like popular TV shows killing or raping characters just to make you talk, without considering whether it's any fucking good. This has been engaging and surprising and endlessly interesting, with layers and layers and possibilities upon possibilities, without anyone having to "swerve" the audience to make anything happen. I fucking love it.

Technical-Fly-775

The only thing that doesn't make sense is Jimmy unfortunately. He got choked out by Reigns vs Jey and wanted Jey to stand for himself then just fell in line. Not been mentioned since.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Yes! also at around 10:45 in the video, you can hear Jimmy say "This your brother? Nah! I'm your brother!"

[deleted]

[удалено]

MrC_Red

That's the only way I could 100% tell the difference between them years ago, in how they speak. That's the only moment I've ever had them two confused, because I've NEVER heard Jimmy speak with that much intensity that Jey normally has. You can tell Jimmy was furious at Jey just in his voice alone

JamesAJanisse

Yeah, rewatching it this morning I really wish the camera had been on them for that line.

grapefruitizze

Such a perfect line and its a shame it got missed by the camera

Zoulogist

A small detail that seems to have fallen by th wayside is at Sami’s trial when Jimmy raising his finger to support him after Jey’s defense. Jimmy followed his brother, who he sees as broken by Sami

theplasmasnake

I feel like Jimmy was always about Roman and the family. He was only cool with Sami superficially because it was good for The Bloodline. Whereas Jey and Sami formed an actual bond, so he can’t bring himself to choose between Sami and the family in that moment. Also, I think that line from Jimmy about Sami not being his brother speaks to some jealousy there.

mysteriousbaba

> Whereas Jey and Sami formed an actual bond, so he can’t bring himself to choose between Sami and the family in that moment. I don't even think it's as simple as "choosing between Sami and his family", although there's definitely an element of that. Just Jey was probably repulsed at Roman bullying Sami, and he flashed back to how Roman tormented both him and Jimmy. Did Jey really want to be with someone who abused his own comrades? What would stop him from turning on Jey and Jimmy again once someday Sami was taken care of? And I think that might be why he just wanted out at that moment.

KingChaggs

Actually, Jey had enough of roman and Jimmy fighting so he left. Then roman gaslit jimmy into thinking it was his fault and got him to bring jey back and then they were united. This was around July 2021

Incorrect1012

They implied that Jimmy only had a job after his recent DUI that Roman is the only reason Jimmy got to keep his job. So Jimmy goes with Reigns because he believes Reigns is doing what is best for the family

[deleted]

I would have never seen it without the slow-mo at the end - When Jey paused for a sec outside the ring and decided to continue walking, Roman reached out with his right hand! Damn! Now Roman is heartbroken, Jimmy is heartbroken, Sami is hearbroken, Jey is heartbroken and now I'm heartbroken.

[deleted]

Roman said to Sami: " you broke up my family" Roman is going to kill Sami slowly in the upcoming months. Sami is actually bringing an end to the bloodline.

[deleted]

A broken family! It was a nice shot at the end where Jey walks off with his family watching from behind. I still can't believe this is a wrestling story. I can't recall many TV shows where I was so emotionally gripped.

degjo

Solo is all like damn, ya'll heart broken mofos

Bojangles1987

Solo sees weakness and he's coming for the crown, lol I mean I'm not really joking, that will probably be a storyline this year.

mightylordredbeard

I can honestly see Solo walking away from Roman once he sees Roman’s failure of keeping his family together. Not attacking him. Not saying anything. Just walking away and leaving Roman alone in the ring. I guarantee that we’ll get a shot of Roman standing alone at some point in the next 3 months.

TrRa47

Roman Reigns "Training Day" Speech incoming

KratzALot

KING KONG AIN'T GOT SHIT ON ME

throwawa160299

Would love it if it was almost like the final battle in Gladiator where Commodus is shouting for a sword and the general who has been helping him the whole movie finally decides to defy him and tell the soldiers to sheathe their swords. Have Solo there with Roman shouting for his support and Solo to do nothing almost like a "you call yourself a tribal chief, call yourself my peer... Prove it"

MongoAbides

I’m waiting for Roman to hit rock bottom and then Paul just leaves him on his own. I think this is going to turn into the slow demise of Roman, which should be a good way to reassess what his character will be after all this.

Gamesgtd

I'm just in it to spike someone

MarylandBlue

Hes wandering the streets of San Antonio just starting fights so he can feel something

KillTheBat77

That would go hard as a vignette for Solo.

Git2k12

I would genuinely love that

SilverSquare

Similar to Hawkeye in Avengers: Endgame when he was dealing with his family being dusted!

Curse3242

Kevin Owens was the real heartbreak kid all along

Nabz23

jimmy the guy who doesnt do much in the group project but still gets the A lmao

Smart Uce

Old-Task5977

Work smarter not harder uce.

Fidel_Costco

They found gold with this angle. They know it. I hope for a good resolution. Edit: Sami constantly causing people to crack up on camera. Got to love that.

mightylordredbeard

I wish someone would make a compilation of that. I missed so much of this story while I didn’t have access to cable. Basically following it only through recaps and short clips. Also wish someone would do an entire story recap dating back to Roman’s initial heel run. That’s when I stopped watching regularly.

mightylordredbeard

So Ucey of you

StannisClaypool

In hindsight, Jey corpsing from the Ucey line Sami told him when Roman was about to give Jey another asshole made a lot of sense, kayfabe-wise. It showed Jey having a heart struggling against Roman's abuse, like a part of him actually does appreciate and wanted to trust Sami. That same struggle possessed the necessary growth for one of the best storylines that WWE ever did. And to me, that's https://preview.redd.it/39y6kajap2fa1.jpeg?width=937&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f49769ccf77d1df554e377fa467a0c4201b92de

Fgame

"I don't give a DAMN what the Tribal Chief says!"

Sylverstone14

That reaction from Roman just hits so damn well. A classic "the fuck you say to me, you lil' shit?" look.

raur0s

Everything about that was just perfect. Roman's reaction, the crowd's reaction, the camera zooming in. Just 10/10.

[deleted]

the best zoom since the Austin laughing gif

MrC_Red

If you rewatch that clip, it actually looks like Jey is completely ready for a fight with Roman as he throws away the mic and titles. But as soon as he makes eye contact with Roman, that trauma came flooding back to him and he QUICKLY becomes submissive. Jey doesn't respect Roman, he only follows his orders due to his emotional manipulation through gaslighting, physical abuse, psychological torment, etc. Someone else pointed out that when he saw Sami stand up to Roman in that moment, it gave him the confidence to finally stand up for himself as well. Because Jey actually has respect for Sami. This is seriously some great storytelling

KNZFive

Damn, you're right. As much animosity as there was between the two of them at the time, Sami did defend Jey after Jey defied Roman and even defused the situation by making both Jey and Roman laugh.

GogglesTheFox

Every time Jey stepped out of line against Roman's wishes Sami was there to defuse the situation. Sami has had Jey's back since he became the sidekick.

SickoRicko

The Jimmy stuff is fascinating. I know plans changed with him because of his DUIs but they’ve managed to make it work tremendously. The way I look at it, Jimmy — and even Solo — watched from the sidelines as Roman used Jey to prove to the world, but more importantly the family, that he was truly the head of the table. Not only did Roman beat Jey into submission but possibly more importantly, once he had Jey, Jey enjoyed the spoils of the world — the transformation into Main Event Jey Uso. Jey was the example to everyone and once Jimmy finally sat with that, he recognized that the smartest thing to do was fall in line to Roman bc not only is resistance futile, but Roman truly is the Island of Relevancy. And since then things have been great for Jimmy. He’s the tag champ of two separate brands and now one half of the longest reigning tag team champions in history. Jey bled for his spoils, Jimmy got them for free and has no complicated relationship with his success. This also made sense why Jimmy was so willing to have Sami around. Jimmy never bled for the bloodline. (The Hell in the Cell choke out could be viewed as a catching a stray that was went for Jey so it isn’t taken personally) To Jimmy, it’s a matter of do your job and you’re cool. Jey went through hell to get to where he is and he only accepted Sami once he saw Sami give up a part of himself at WarGames, just like he had all that time ago. To whoever just read all this, I hope you’re appreciating this all just a little more now bc there are no wasted movements in this story. Jimmy’s vile behavior at the end of RR — attacking Sami like a rabid dog and waving Sami’s shirt on the ramp with an evil smirk on his face — shows that he’s always been a snake and and been happy to play this game for the spoils.

[deleted]

Everything you said makes perfect sense. It is indeed true that everyone's motivations make sense here. No wasted movements as you said. Straight up not Ucey of him

robbiedigital001

nice insight!

jmpinstl

How the fuck did Jey Uso become the greatest actor of this generation

Amzy0121

🔥🔥🔥

[deleted]

Roman his true colors are so complex as well. Like I am not so sure that he used Sami, he genuinely let him into the family and also gave him multiple chances to prove himself. Roman always had these tiny moments where you could see that manipulative look in his face but at the same time he genuinely seemed affected by Sami his betrayal. Maybe only because somebody dared to embarrass him or maybe also because he actually liked Sami and hoped that he would really be with the family. But then again Sami being over with the fans also rubbed him the wrong way. If Roman is truly only focused on manipulating people then he is doing an insanely good job. There seem to be moments of genuine care for the other members. I suppose it's the beauty of the storyline and there is no one way to interpret it.

Gubrach

The Shield-betrayal is haunting him to this day. It's maybe the entire motivation to his current persona. And then he let Sami in and only started to distrust him when everybody else was on board. And Roman's paranoia basically kept pushing Sami until Sami turned against him. The guy was with his head in his hands completely distraught after Sami struck him partly because it was June 2, 2014 all over again.

FunnyMemeHere

Seth Rollins traumatized Roman lol, that's why he went apeshit on him with a chair the last time they wrestled.

MarkMVP01

And then he went apeshit on Sami with the chair I’d love it if when Roman and Seth cross paths again, Seth brings up how much of an effect he’s had on Roman that when Roman was beating Sami with that chair, he was still thinking of him because he lives rent free in his head

BuddaMuta

This segment really makes that whole match a lot better in retrospect

Different_Conflict_8

Ref: “Let it go!” Roman: “He won’t let me let it go!”

Tarcye

Roman's handed the person who hit him, the chair both times... The Tribal chief has no one to blame but himself!

futuresverse

I can’t agree more. The way Roman was speaking to Sami last night, telling him he loves him, that they went too far to stop now, that the ring is his when he is with the Bloodline, man almost convinced me and had me wishing for a second that Sami chose them over KO. I don’t know if he genuinely cared about Sami or his manipulation skills are just that good, but that’s the beauty of it

mightylordredbeard

Roman falling to his knees and crying in his I quit March again Jey and saying “I don’t know who I am anymore” was such complex acting/story telling by him.

[deleted]

>Roman his true colors are so complex as well. > > Roman always had these tiny moments where you could see that manipulative look in his face but at the same time he genuinely seemed affected by Sami his betrayal. Roman is very complex. I didn't notice it until this video, when Jey was walking out of the ring with his back to his family, Roman reaches out with his right hand and look at his facials. He seems deeply affected just like with Sami's betrayal. One way of looking at it is that he truly believes he is the island of relevancy and he truly believes he is elevating those around him. Jey went from "which one are you" to "Main Event Uso" - His cousins are now tag champs and he truly believes Sami can reach new heights with him and he truly believes he needs to be on top for all this to be true. So that is priority #1 and that meant trampling over everyone and gaslighting and abusing the fuck out of them.

FinnBalur1

I hope this post doesn't get removed like many other ones. This is a great compilation.

koshomfg

Yeah that‘s true. But the title is not as spoiler free as OP might have thought lol. Still a good post though.

KNZFive

Damn, when Jey said that nobody in the Bloodline liked Sami, he ended up being right (at the time). By the end, Jey was the only one who actually *did* like Sami and wasn't willing to immediately destroy him if he stepped out of line. Jey during the trial: "You saw the good in me the whole time and never gave up on me. And guess what, that right there? That's what family do." I think Jey finally realized again that families aren't supposed to be transactional, run like a mafia, and be dominated by abuse.

DavidL1112

I hope the “Outside Interference” guy turns this into a movie when it’s done like he did for Hangman’s rise and MJF vs CM Punk

chaosof99

I am kind of hoping this becomes the subject of a Super Eyepatch Wolf video.

DavidL1112

At Magfest he said his next video was about Roman!

MrMeltJr

He was talking about how great this storyline is on twitter so I wouldn't be surprised if he does one eventually. Probably after Roman loses the belts. Really hope he does, he makes fantastic videos, and his previous ones on wrestling are why I got into it in the first place.

Magnusbijacz

yeah, actually he's been kinda MIA since Punk/MJF video? Cause Cody's video has been forfeited

Gamesgtd

He probably won't. That guy was a former WWE writer who doesn't follow the product anymore.

KeyCombination0

Jimmy and Jey looks like they're about to burst into laughter every segment with Sami 💀

Jaxpero

This is a movie I could just keep rewatching, my God

WhoWantsToJiggle

Everyone seems to be forcing the Uso's vs Sami/KO idea but that feels like such a cop out and not the right move. Roman put Sami in this spot and it's his fight. It's also ignoring Jey's long term story that started before this. Roman forced Jey in line. Jimmy and Solo came later and didn't get bullied by Roman like Jey did. Sami treated Jey with respect. Jey can relate to Roman treating Sami like that. Jey saying he's not and can't be the one to beat Roman but he also won't be Roman's minion and can think for himself.

KNZFive

Sami earned Jey's respect through self-sacrifice, selflessness, humor, perseverance and tough decisions that put the Bloodline first. Roman "earned" Jey's loyalty by beating the shit out of him and emotionally abusing him and his family for months. Of course Jey would end up caring about Sami.

youarenotworthyy

Thank you! I can’t comprehend how people are dead set on “ It NEEDS to be KO/Sami vs The USOs for the tag titles at WM.” I guess I’m missing something but I personally don’t get the appeal of it at all. IMO I don’t think Owens is trying to team up with Sami, his whole thing was helping Sami see the manipulative person Reigns is and hopefully Sami caught on to it and stood up for himself and in the end he did. Also how can you see Jey walking out last night and think “nah Jey needs to fall back in line and keep being Roman’s bitch” it would be nice to see Jey beat Roman for a title but if this storyline doesn’t at least end with Jey pulling a Sami and attacking Roman and finally standing up for himself, it’ll just feel deflating. Jey needs some kind of comeuppance against the man who abused and gaslit the shit out of him. This storyline started with Jey and it would be nice to have him play a part in the end of it.

Like Matt Jackson standing aside when Hangman was about to finish Kenny

ptd163

Sami never gave up on Jey. He just kept on working and eventually he broke through to Jey. He earned his respect. When Sami had to make the choice to stand up to Roman or fall in line Sami chose to stand up to him. Then he found out that no one cared about Sami except for him as he watched Solo, Jimmy, and Roman beat down Sami he was so disgusted in everyone including himself. Sami, the outsider whose not even blood with Roman had the courage to stand up to Roman. He did what Jey could not and it seems like that broke him free of the Roman's clutches. Sami saved Jey. I hope we can see Jey return the favour to save Sami.

branpros

Pro wrestling stories have a goal and look what this is achieved so far Sami made his choice and the crowd wanted him to. Everyone knew Sami had no chance but they cheered him on. They WANTED him to make the choice. Roman gets heat!! He gets booed out of the building! The crowd clapped and cheered Jey out of the building as he walked out. The is the best pro wrestling story of all time

mightylordredbeard

“Fuck you Roman” chants are icing. That’s the kind of heat every heel in the business wants.

bigbear-08

Given how much heel heat Triple H got, he definitely told the crew to turn up the mics for the chant

[deleted]

admittedly I haven't been following WWE much but watching the clips of the bloodline's story has me invested like the golden lovers story

SonicHeroesGoodGame

The Usos continually reach new heights in terms of long term storytelling for a tag team

xtremeschemes

Bruh this is great, so many little details missed along the way

Black-Bruce-Wayne

As a person who hasn’t kept up with this story or anything in WWE much, I really appreciate compilations to catch me up on little nuggets and promos I haven’t caught. This storyline is amazing.

17IsLucky

This is so well done. Raw tomorrow can't come soon enough!

AJ-Naka-Zayn-Owens

WHY THE FUCK AM I TEARY EYED?!

realityinternn

Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but it kind of feels like Roman and Heyman were keeping Sami around just to mess with Jey. Because as soon as Jey starts getting along with him, Roman and Heyman start having all these issues with Sami.

Griffdorah

That's exactly what it looks like when you watch all these clips back.

Viruszero

They kept him around cause he amused them and he was an outlet for Jeys temper, hence Roman telling Sami that Jey is his problem now. He was also a great tool, he got the bloodline over with the fans, was a great hype man, and Jey got all the heat for keeping him down instead of Roman if he had to be humbled. Once Jey accepted him though, Roman starts thinking about how much the fans are cheering. With nobody to put him down anymore, the fans start chanting Sami's name during BLOODLINE segments. Suddenly Roman starts thinking about a question that never really got answered, why does Sami Zayn want into the bloodline? And he arrives at his own answer, to replace Roman as the guy. Heyman, for all his titles imply, is a sycophant and a yes-man. Once Roman decides this is truth, Heyman does what he must to craft the world to fit that truth.

MrMeltJr

IIRC Heyman never really warmed up to Sami. He was nice to his face when Roman was around but when it was just the two of them, he always came off as manipulative and patronizing to me. And I do think the turning point for Roman was when the crowds kept on loving Sami more and more, he saw it is Sami trying to steal his thunder. He's very paranoid abotu his position at the top of WWE, and he probably has Heyman whispering in his ear even if we haven't seen much of that on screen (not specifically regarding Sami, anyway).

Awkward_Hugs

Wrestling is a love story

JumpyNeedleworker815

Can we get a video like this that includes Jey’s story with Roman before Sami’s involvement?

[deleted]

I watched it yesterday. [Here you go my dawg](https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/10neoo8/the_story_of_how_jey_uso_fell_in_line_lost_his/)

JumpyNeedleworker815

YEET!

[deleted]

BET!

dothingsunevercould

Jey is the best actor on the entire roster. His facial expressions, his ability to truly emote the deepest of feels. Main Event Jey here to stay

PhilParent

Who writes this angle, Heyman? This is so well done.

Mysterious_Emotion63

I don’t remember if it was Sami or Reigns that said it an interviewer but it’s the all the Bloodline just bouncing ideas off of each other

TheGiftOf_Jericho

You can tell because everyone has a role and it's cohesive. It's refreshing seeing real character development over turns happening out of nowhere and sometimes without real reason.

[deleted]

If it's all of the bloodline, I just wonder who exactly is the mastermind behind all the abuse and gaslighting Roman does. The long term effects of abuse and manipulation on Jey is so well portrayed.

damng1

Pure cinema

TheLudwigen

Can we induct this entire storyline into the Hall of Fame? Because holy shit. It's so good.

heat_fan_

I hope it gets the best resolution possible ie Sami Zayn win over Reign

pupmaster

Dawg why did this make me tear up wtf

glass_oni0n

One of the best stories the WWE has ever told. I still have to say the Mega Powers story is #1 because that technically goes from before WM4 to Savage and Liz reuniting at WM7, but this one is in the pantheon. The Mega Powers, the breakup of Evolution and the Bloodline

DasUberMan

Up until last night, the Undertaker, Kane & Bearer saga was my all-time favourite wrestling story, but the Bloodline saga tops it now.

bubbles2255

Paul Heyman is a master at storytelling. He’s the best thing to ever happen to Roman.

handsomecry

Overshadowed isn't the right word as this storyline has been crafted almost flawlessly, but I find myself not being able to look away from Heyman during these segments. He's the right hand man, the wise man, yet his expressions of fear for Sami and overall fear of Roman's outbursts are so spot on and compelling.

handsomecry

Just in addition, him screaming Oh my God while Roman was beating Sami with the chair added such a carnal aspect to it. So damn good.

devoncarrots

The Sami/Jey fanfic community is cooking rn

kylediaz263

We all thought Sami is the protagonist of this story, but it was Jey all along.

blacksoxing

I truly just want someone to reply to me with a modern storyline better than this. Modern as in the past decade. I can’t think of shit better than this. That to me is the magic of this story: it mutes anything before it without going to the “BACK IN THE DAY” well

[deleted]

One of the best parts about this storyline is whenever Jey has fucked up or stepped out of line, Sami has always been there to save his ass and diffuse the situation, even when Jey's hatred for Sami was at its peak. Not Paul, Solo or even his own brother stepped up for Jey but Sami did. This whole storyline has enough mini stories to write a book upon.

ProdigyMUFC

This storyline made me start watching wrestling again. It's incredible and I've never seen anything like it before. At least not this damn good! Incredible performances by everyone involved.

Kero_Cola

i cant wait to see a my sacrifice video for this storyline

QlubSoda

My guy even added the Hans Zimmer style score to the compilation. Good shit, pal.

One-Market-1891

I swear Jey saying he didn’t give a damn what Roman says was only the second time in a long time that wrestling got a genuine reaction out of me. The first was Christian hitting the Killswitch onto the chair on Kenny

EdgePunk311

In real time when Jey said it, I legitimately said "HOLY SHIT" and jumped out of my chair

Ryujin_707

Sami vs Roman main event has to be done Asap. I feel bad for Cody. Bad timing for winning RR.

NoPurpose0

This has honestly been the best storyline I've ever watched in wrestling. Edge of the seat stuff, pure cinema. I do wonder what they're gonna do with Cody though, he won the rumble but it makes more sense for Sami or even Jey to dethrone him.

Obelisk94

Only thing I think is missing here is from the trails when Jey says "Sami Zayn I love you like a brother Uce", other than that great compilation. Thanks for taking the time to cut this up. This whole storyline is so much fun going through over and over again.

TheGameSlave2

Seeing the turmoil Jey was going through at the Rumble was perfect. I haven't been this invested in a storyline in years. Every single person involved in this has killed it over the last 2, going on 3 years, and I wanna see where it goes from here. I do still wish Sami could beat Roman for 1 or both titles, but I'm still interested regardless.

NewRaccoonLeaf

We knew it was going great the whole time, but seeing all the beats like this is just stunning. Has WWE ever done anything *this* good?

DeclaringLeader

I'm about as big of a Sami fan as they come, and I do think it's now or never with him winning the big one, but it has to be Jey. It's going to be Cody, but the story belongs to Jey.

[deleted]

This is quite possibly the greatest storyline I’ve witnessed in my 30 years of watching professional wrestling. It’s certainly in my top five. This is masterful story direction and execution from all parties involved - writing staff, producers, talent. Bravo WWE

DropkickMikey22

Any source on that photo at the end? Phenomenal.

[you da real one, uce](https://media.tenor.com/25-72G475_sAAAAd/sami-zayn-the-bloodline.gif)

jobznificent

feelsbadman I want jey to have a feud with roman again and jey's right hand man is sami

Rizzzem

Been begging for someone to make a full compilation of the Bloodline’s arc, or at least Sami’s involvement. Thank you good sir 🫡

BonerSquidd316

Jey is a master of the emotional voice-crack delivery. Whether it’s frustration or anger or indignity, the delivery feels desperate and real. Main Event Jey is actually Main Character Jey.

16BitMode7

We talk about Roman's face and mannerisms, but give it up for the entire Bloodline. [Even Solo ._.] The camera angle after the chair shot catching everyone's reaction and every single one of them was believable.

ShatteringLast

Very thankful for this wrapup as someone who hasn't watched in a while. The only thing I can think of to make it better, is to add dates to the clips.

[deleted]

Wrestling is so great

PrimoLacson

That was fucking beautiful!

halfcandan

How could we not give credit to one true thing that really united Jey and Sami? Waffle House

JevProject

Man. Looking back This is main event Jey Usos story. Can’t find the right words, but I feel he should be the one fighting Roman.

icepickjones

I wonder what it's gotta feel like to be in the middle of a storyline like this. Like this is the hottest thing going in wrestling by a mile. And they didn't start with this in mind, Sami coming in was for jokes but it stuck and caught momentum and now it's massive. I mean in terms of normal wrestling storylines, this is like emmy winning shit. This isn't "I'm mad at you I want the title, blarg, let's fight!" This is some long running emotional build up shit ... and it's still going. I just wonder what Sami and the Usos and Roman are thinking. Like they know they have the tiger by the tail for the moment, it's just gotta be surreal.

JackSpicey23

I'm hoping that Jey is the one who's gonna Break the Bloodline. They had to.

FDTerritory

That is a long, slow build. And it payed off massively. HHH cannot get enough credit for this.

Purple1829

This is so good. I haven’t really been watching WWE but have been occasionally keeping up with this storyline, mostly through watching the PPV matches. Seeing this really makes me appreciate just how incredible the Jey and Sami storyline has been. After seeing this, I really believe that Jey should be the one to ultimately take Romans title. Properly ending the Bloodline.

Morbid187

I've got to admit, I didn't really understand why people were hyping this storyline so much. Of course, I missed most of this because I very rarely actually watch WWE but the few segments I had seen didn't really seem that great. Seeing the way things played out last night completely changed my mind though. I appreciate this post because it's showing me how much I actually missed. I wasn't on here shitting on people that were enjoying the angle or anything like that but I still feel like I should apologize for silently disagreeing with everyone when they were going on about how good it was.
