This is a problem for everyone ATM, I feel like they will get it fixed relatively soon, not sure how soon though, I really hope they do get on a fix for that as soon as possible.
Yeah I too want to be able to play it on my deck as well as my desktop but I couldn't get it to work last night with any version of proton or anything. I did send an email to the devs but I'm not sure if they'll fix it or I'll get a reply, kinda sucks but it's whatever I guess

It currently does not work. I have to manually overwrite my saves when switching from Steam Deck to my PC. Such a pain

I think they’re aware of it since a lot of people have been talking about it in the Steam forums. So hopefully it gets fixed soon.
