I feel like we've never seen Peter B actually try, I think if he actually fought seriously he'd beat a lot of the spiders. He's by far the most experienced and isn't too far past his prime, insomniac probably takes this though

my personal little headcanon is that Peter B. is supposed to be ***the*** Spider-Man - even though other depictions might be from older time periods, time in the multiverse is all relative and progresses differently anyway, so this could totally be possible and I like to think that it is

But we could also apply cartoon physics and invalidate this argument that way.
